Who: Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne When: Thursday night. Where: The (decommissioned) "cave" beneath a Wayne Trust building. (Okay. It's a subbasement with key-only elevator access. It's not really a cave.) What: Clark doesn't believe weird things can happen to him. Bruce, being so helpful, tries to prove him wrong. Rating: PG.
The "cave" was actually a subbasement with restricted access, and instead of the vast computer banks and cases of equipment from Bruce's dreams, it was sparsely furnished with workout gear and a cabinet for the Batsuit. It had been largely decommissioned in recent days, what with Bruce's decision to (attempt to) retire. He wasn't the sort of man who destroyed things that might still have use, however, and so Bruce had left everything intact. Just in case.
It was a good thing, too, as showing was so much better than a verbal explanation over the telephone. Strange things happened. Businessmen could find a vigilante's body armor in their closet. People on the Valarnet claimed to have strange powers and to experience physical changes.
Bruce wasn't going to lie to Clark. He didn't want to discuss matters over the telephone, but that didn't mean he didn't want to discuss things at all.
