When Lydia looked at him, Mitch gave her an apologetic look. He had no control over Jaz's mouth. And he was pretty sure that Jaz was going to say even more embarrassing things as this lunch went on. "Are you expecting an award?" he sarcastically asked. And then she just kept on running her mouth just in time for the waiter to hear it. "Sorry," he apologized to the waiter since he knew Jaz wouldn't. And since nobody else was ordering, he jumped in first. "I'll have the chicken fried steak. Thank you." He handed his menu off to the waiter since he didn't need it anymore and then looked between both Lydia and Jaz.
If he didn't have to drive home, he would be ordering a drink. Or a lot of them. Because he had a feeling Jaz was going to bombard Lydia with embarrassing questions the whole time. "I can learn about people just fine, Jaz. I don't need your help."
