Who: Elena and Caroline What: Wallowing When: After this Where: Caroline's Status: In progress Rating: Low
Knowing how much her friend must be hurting, Elena had offered to just go and be there for her. And, as she'd texted back to Caroline, she wanted to be there for her, she was happy to do whatever she could to support her friend since she knew first-hand just how terrible breakups could be.
That said, it did take her a little while to actually arrive. While she'd offered junk food and sad movies, Elena only had the first at hand and so she'd stopped by the grocery store, arriving at Caroline's about 45 minutes after their last flurry of texts, weighed down with more than a few reusable totes. Knocking, she stepped forward as soon as Caroline answered the door, bags set down so that Elena could hug her tightly.
"It'll be okay," she murmured. "I know it doesn't feel like it now but it will be okay." She pulled back enough to offer a small smile, though her arms didn't drop. "I brought cookie dough, ice cream, chips, some bottles of moscato, and three boxes of tissues. Puffs Plus with lotion so you don't rub your nose raw."
