Noah let himself into the house as quietly as he was able, all-to aware that the kids were probably asleep at this late hour. He'd been working later than usual after a young girl had gone missing from a nearby mall and with the weather set in and night coming they hadn't wanted to wait to start looking for her. Lucky they had, as it turned out, as the girl had slipped down an embankment and broken her ankle. He didn't even want to contemplate what would have happened if they'd waited until first light.
Speaking of light... Noah glanced down the hall to the kitchen and saw a glow from beneath the door. He wondered which one of the guys was up so late but old habits died hard and he quickly stowed his gun in the safe before he headed back to check. When he heard the mug smash his plans changed real fast and he turned back and ran for the kitchen all thought of keeping quiet gone. Something was wrong in his house and if anyone was hurt he'd never forgive himself.
"Cisco?" he skidded into the kitchen and saw the boy frozen to the spot. "Shit," he moved to his side, workboots crunching porcelain as he went. "What's the matter, kid?" Noah asked softly as he slid his arm to his shoulders. He didn't like this one bit but he also knew enough about seizures to know not to shock him. Wait it out, so long as he wasn't hurting himself or anyone else. Speaking of which, Noah quickly moved the boiling water out of arm's reach. "It's okay, Cisco, I'm here whenever you're ready," he told his young ward.
