"Perceptive as always, huh?" he said with a smile Stile's way. "It's going to be weird and awkward but I don't wanna stop hanging out with Mom just because she remarried," Scott said with a nod. "John's a decent guy I just don't know what his views on boyfriends and werewolves are," he told Stiles with a shrug. "Guess we're about to find out, huh?"

He knew this had to be hard on Stiles too. SD held way too many memories for it not to be but Scott hoped they could make some new ones. Happier ones. He slipped his hand onto his thigh and gave him a gentle squeeze, "I'm here. It's all gonna be okay," Scott assured him softly.

"Well, we drive down to Mom's, they feed us copious amounts of food, liquor and good humour and then we crash out from exhaustion and come home tomorrow," he said with a grin. "Something tells me Mom's gonna go to town, too. First Christmas with John, first Christmas without me in the house and the first time I bring home a boyfriend - yep, she's gonna go nuts," Scott warned him with a chuckle.
