Since Stiles knew that Lydia was coming over after her classes, he made sure to pay attention to anyone knocking on the door. He kept his music low and his bedroom door open as he waited. He tried to do his classwork, but it was boring him and he really couldn’t concentrate. He’ll do it later. He pushed it aside and grabbed his laptop, deciding he would just scroll through the network until Lydia showed. It wasn’t long after that when he heard the knocking. On his window. Leave it to Lydia to come knocking on his window instead of the door. At first, he just looked at her and waved, smiling as he did so. But after a moment, he got up and opened the window. “You know we have a front door, right?” he joked as he pushed open the window all the way since he knew what was coming next. * “Ha ha.” Is all Lydia said as she climbed in through the window. Why the window? It was a habit Lydia had gotten into doing since junior year in high school with Stiles. That and it annoyed him, her rattling her nails on the glass. So to her, it was a win-win situation. Her bag was soon tossed into the room a she came to her feet. “Why use the door, when the window is so much more fun.” She added with a friendly smile on her features, as usual. Red hair tied back in a braid as she also had her bookbag with her since she came right from class after stopping at her dorm for her clothes. “Well, lead the way my laundry knight.” She said laughing innocently at him for the moment. - “Because one day you’re going to get stuck.” Kira had already gotten stuck the last time she came over. And he was pretty sure one of these days Lydia was going to get stuck as well. “And I will leave you there,” he added after a beat of silence. “Laundry knight?” he laughed then started to lead the way out of his bedroom. “This way, Red,” he said as he waved her on and led her out into the garage where the washer and dryer were. * “You leave me there and I’ll scream.” She added laughing a bit as she started following him out to the garage. “And yeah, laundry knight. Other wise I was gonna have to hand wash these.” She said about the bag in her hands. In truth, that was not something Lydia was looking forward to doing so she was thankful Stiles offered his washer and dryer. She didn’t say anything when he called her red, because well, why would she? She had red hair. It made sense to call her that. Still, once in front of the washer she started loading her clothes in it. “Home alone again?” She asked, since it didn’t seem like anyone else was home. - “I will duct tape your mouth and then after that I will point and laugh. Oh! And I would take a picture and share it.” He was joking about the whole thing. If Lydia were to get stuck, he’d help her out. “There’s always a laundry mat,” he pointed out. “Yeah,” he said with a slight nod of his head, “I’m home alone.” He was normally home alone unless it was one if his dad’s day off. Other than that, he was usually alone until his dad came home later on that night. “Why? Do you want to drool over my dad again?” he asked, trying not to shudder at the thought. * “I have to pay at a laundromat.” She replied laughing as she poured her detergent and son closed and started the machine up. Hearing about the drool, she smirked. “Of course, your dad is a total DILF.” She said laughing even more at this point. “Watch, gimme ten more years and Ima marry your dad.” She added as she nudged his shoulder with hers. Only to ruffle his hair in a teasing manner before walking into the house. “If I know you, you haven’t done your schoolwork. Come on, we can do it together since I have to draw a human figure… You’re it by the way.” She added literally dragging him back into his house. - “And you would have to hang around weird people,” he added in as he watched her put her dirty clothes into the washer. “I am going to pretend that you did not just say that.” He was definitely pulling a disgusted face because, ew, he did not want to hear any of his friends saying that his dad was hot in any kind of sense. “I hope I’m long gone by then,” he said with a shake of his head. “Stoooop.” He ducked away from her hand. “Do you know how long it takes to get my hair right?” Well, she wasn’t wrong. He hadn’t done his school work, but it looked like doing it later would be doing it now. “Why am I it?” he asked as he was dragged back into the house by Lydia. * “Your dad is soooooo hot.” She said teasing him at this point. The whole thing was a big tease really. Because Stiles reaction was always comical. Still, she dragged him. “Because you’re in front of me right now.” She said making a duh face at him at this point. Once in the house she let go of his hand. “Here or your room?” She asked looking around. But knowing Stiles, he’d wanna go to his room. That way Lydia wouldn't have to whistle once his dad came home. Because it was something she was definitely thinking of doing. Just to get under Stiles skin once more. “You know what I think is weird? Hairless cats. Have you ever seen those? Fucking scary.” And there it was. Lydia with the randomness. -- Stiles was making gagging noises by now. “No.” Why did she have to torture him like this? Oh, because she thought it was funny, that was why. “My room,” he replied pretty quickly as he started to make his way back towards his bedroom. “What do you think is weird?” he asked with a glance back at Lydia. “Hairless cats?” Okay, that was random. He was used to Lydia spewing random things, so this was no shocker that they were now having to talk about hairless cats. “I haven’t seen one in person. They look weird, though. Like they’re running around naked.” Once they were back in his bedroom, he sat back down at his desk. “So, why do you need to draw a human figure?” * “I know right!” She said about the cats. “ I just wanna give them a sweater or something… A kitty sweater.” She said making her way into his room and automatically throwing herself on his ed. “It’s a school year project. We to sketch out a person, and then throughout the year we have to slowly bring the drawing to life with either, clay, glass, cement. Stuff like that.” She said as she rolled over after kicking her shook off and grabbing her sketch pad. “It’s the only thing y art class is having us do this year since it’s a huge project. The other classes, I already did my papers for.” She said smiling lightly. “So… ready to be immortalized?” She asked laughing once more. -- “That can be your next new thing. Giving naked kitties sweaters. Oh, and dogs. There are some naked dogs out there in the world, too.” He listened as Lydia explained what her class was doing for the year. “That’s interesting, I guess.” He didn’t draw. And he really wasn’t into the whole artsy thing either. “No, but I have this feeling that I have no choice. Soooo, what do I have to do?” It was for Lydia. He’d pretty much do almost anything for her. Because that’s what friends did for one another. * “Of course you don’t.” She said laughing still. Lydia always laughed when hanging out with Stiles. “Just be yourself. I’ll do the rest.” Already she sat up against the wall where his bed was against, as she flipped to a blanket page in her sketch pad for the moment. “Just pretend I’m not even here.” She added smiling as she tapped the pencil against the white sheet for the moment. Thinking. What form to draw him in.In truth she used him because it was easy and she knew him. She just needed to be around him enough to get the small details right is all. Otherwise she could draw him from memory, easily. Or the photo in her best-friends frame by her bed. - “That’s easy enough to do.” And he made him glad that he didn’t have to like pose or something because sitting still wasn’t something he was all that great at. “Who is speaking?” he asked as he looked around, as if she weren’t sitting there on his bed. “I knew this house was haunted,” he muttered before smirking over at her. He still didn’t want to do his school work. He still wanted to tackle it later. “Want to do something this weekend?” * Lydia rolled her eyes at him for the moment, as she slowly started sketching. But that didn’t last long when he asked about doing something over the weekend, it caused her to pause her project and think for the moment. “Camping?” She asked with a smirk along her features.. It was hard to tell if she was being serious or not. And knowing Lydia, if she was serious, well… It was bound to be interesting to say the least. - “Camping?” Okay, that wasn’t exactly what he was thinking when he suggested they do something this weekend. “You’re joking, right?” He was leaning towards her joking because he just did not see Lydia as someone who would actually want to do camping or even thinking camping could be fun. “How is it you jump to camping and I was thinking something like going to a theme park or going to the beach?” * Lydia was dying laughing at this point. Really, she had tears in her eyes. “ I was kidding, Stiles.. Theme park sounds good.” She assured with a nod of her head. Her pencil going back to her sketch of him. “We should invite Kira.” She added with a firm nod. Kira was cool to be around. Mainly because she tagged on picking on Stiles. - While Lydia laughed, Stiles just stared at her. Of course she had been kidding. And of course she thought it was the funniest thing in the world. “I was thinking that we could go to Knotts Berry Farm,” he finally said once Lydia calmed down with her laughter. “I’ll text her later and see if she’ll want to go.” He was pretty sure she would say yes as long as that’s not one of her work days. “Do I get to see your sketch when you’re done?” * Lydia thought for a moment. “You can see the end result.” She said with an innocent smile on her features. When he mentioned texting Kira, all she could do was nod in response. It was always fun when the three of them would get together. “Wanna have a sleepover tonight?” She asked casually. It wasn't weird, since they've done it before while in high school. And since she knew washing was going to be a while, she figured why not. “We can watch movies and eat junk food like we did in high school.” She said convincing him more that this was a good idea. -- “Now I’m afraid to see when you’re smiling like that.” Any time she smiled that smile it usually meant she was up to something sneaky. “Sure,” he said, “Why not.” Because hanging out with Lydia all night sounded a lot more fun than wondering what insane thing his dad might try to pull next whenever he came home. “Sounds like a good plan to me. I guess this means I should order food or make food since you’re staying.” * “You do that, I’m gonna go check on my clothes.” She said hopping off the bed and slipping on her shoes once more. “Also, gimme a pair of your sweats and shirt to sleep in.” She said before walking out with a light wave at whatever he might say in the background about the shirt and pants. |
