Simon leaned back in his chair and rubbed at his face again as he considered what Mia had to say.
"I'm not that bad," he replied, but it fell flat. They both knew he was. Hearing something horrible like that would certainly phase Simon, but he wouldn't let it show. He was almost always next to impossible to read clearly.
"If you don't feel comfortable with me in this study then I won't force you to be in it. Ultimately the choice is up to you. I'm not sure what else I can say."
