Leon grumbled, but he allowed Alex to push him toward a chair. He sat heavily, with a groan, though he had to admit that sitting really did feel good right about now. “Tell me about it,” Leon said, resting his hands on Alex’s hips and looking up at him. “I’m so sick of being cooped up in this apartment all day. It’ll be good to get back to work.”
And be good to see what was going on as far as the investigation into his shooting went. He really wasn’t that worried about it, to tell the truth. Logan and Judy would take care of the details. Judy had already helped Leon cover up the time when he’d broken Dan out of jail, so he knew she was capable. Besides, he’d told everyone and their dog that Alex hadn’t done it. As far as Leon knew, the worst that would come out of it was that it would just remain an unsolved case forever.
