To say that Chloe was freaking out a little was an understatement. She and Ilia were supposed to get together the previous night, but Ilia never showed. She also never called or texted. Of course it brought back memories of when Rachel had jus tup and left her without a word, and also when Max had left and stopped talking to her. Calls and texts that Chloe sent to Ilia went unanswered. After spending the night desperately trying to contact Ilia and to convince herself that Ilia hadn't just abandoned her like others in her life had, she decided to go see what was going on. Of course, she was flashing back to when Rachel had left, and she'd gone to her parents to find her, and she wasn't there. Chloe was in no way prepared for being left behind again, and part of her was chastizing herself for trusting people again only to have them leave. Another part was wondering how long it would be before Rachel decided to leave her again. But the larger part was trying to remain calm, trying to keep herself together and telling herself that there was an explanation as to why Ilia hadn't shown up or called her back that didn't involve the other girl leaving and not wanting anything to do with her anymore.
So she went to Logan's place and knocked. She wasn't sure who was going to answer the door, but part of her hoped it was Ilia. However, it was Blake who answered the door.
"Uh, hi, is Ilia here?" Chloe asked.
"No, she's not." Blake frowned a little bit. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this was Chloe. Ilia didn't have all that many friends here, and plus Blake had been assuming that Ilia had been with Chloe the past few days. "You're Chloe, right? I thought Ilia was with you?"
Blake's words brought a frown to Chloe's face. "No. I thought she was with you." That...wasn't a good sign. Chloe had thought Ilia had been keeping an eye out on Blake for another round of the brunette having locked herself in her room. Ilia had texted with her while she'd been sitting outside of Blake's door, so it had seemed like a logical conclusion. At least until the previous night. "Ilia never showed up last night. We were going to go to a concert together. I've called and texted her I don't know how many times, but she never answered."
Blake's frown only deepened. Okay, that wasn't like Ilia. Never returning calls or texts, and not showing up for a concert? That spelled trouble. "That doesn't sound like Ilia at all." Blake waved Chloe in, suspecting there was more to this than met the eye.
"Do you know where she could be?" Chloe asked as worry started to grip her. Had something happened? Something bad? Because now that seemed like the only logical conclusion here. And that also wasn't something that Chloe was at all prepared to handle.
"I don't know. When was the last time you heard from her?" Blake asked. They started comparing notes on when they'd last heard from Ilia and came up with Wednesday morning having been the last time either of them had heard anything from her. They both decided to start looking for their friend, though they didn't really know how to go about it. But it was obvious that something had happened to Ilia. She wouldn't have just up and left without telling either of them anything. And for Chloe, it was different than when Rachel had left. She'd known that Rachel had wanted to get out of Tillamook. But Ilia? Had been content with being here.
They spent a while trying to strategize what to do, but ultimately they decided they needed help when it came to covering ground and physically looking for Ilia. So they both decided to bring in some help on the matter. Though Chloe wasn't entirely certain if Rachel would help, just given how Chloe liked Ilia and all. But she would try anyway. And no matter what, she was going to look for her friend because that's what she did when people she cared about disappeared.
Both Blake and Chloe just hoped that whatever happened to Ilia, that she was alive and okay. But they both knew that given the state of the world, they'd have to be prepared for the worst as well.
