Leon placed his hands on Alex's hips, and managed to resist the urge to pull him in closer. Alex needed space to do what he did. Apart from flinching slightly when Alex first applied the disinfectant and a slight hiss, Leon didn't move. It sucked, but the worst of it was definitely when the shit was first applied.
Okay, the worst of it was getting clocked in the fucking face, but that wasn't here or there.
"Alright, I'll try to call you if I get caught up in something," he said. "But I don't want you coming in like the cavalry or anything, just like I doubt you'd want me banging around in your ambulance."
He frowned at the thought of stitches. "Yeah, those goddamn orcs. I swear to God if I have to deal with one more Dream invasion..." Well, he didn't know what he would do. Because chances were, he was going to have to deal with another Dream invasion sooner or later. "At least tell me the stitches would go behind my hairline."
