“Of course not,” Elijah assured her, with a soft smile. “You would never intentionally worry us.” Of course her work often had that unintended consequence. Traveling the globe, though he was certain his sister was more than capable of protecting herself, did cause some preoccupation with her safety. His smile widened a hair more at her next comment. It was true. As the eldest sibling Freya had spent more than her fair share of time concerned over her siblings.
“And all things that you need to tend to personally?” Though delegation was never a strong suit for any of the Mikaelsons so Elijah would not press too hard on that matter lest Freya decide to turn that line of questioning on his business model.
“I am sure you feel better, stronger than you did. But even you must admit that going on an international trip less than a month after such a grave illness seems...ill-advised.” His voice was gentle, words neutral but still conveying the reservations that he felt about this entire endeavor. “Nearly two weeks in a refugee camp. What would happen should you relapse?”
