He saw the familiar shape of Obi-Wan sitting outside in the dark when he came down from his shower. As he dried the tendrils of wet hair, he remembered that Obi-Wan said Dani wasn't going. It wasn't too surprising, really. Dani and Loras didn't know each other very well, so why would she be interested in spending a couple of nights in some hotel in Minnesota? But something more must have happened...Loras could feel it in his bones.
Beer was not on the list of things that Loras could have before a tournament, so he forewent the brews in the fridge and took out a bottle of water instead before he opened the sliding glass door that led to the back patio. He brought a candle lighter and another beer for his best friend, and lit the candles that warded away the mizzies. These days, Loras could barely sleep for fear of another nightmare, so perhaps it was good that he had a distraction tonight.
"Lover's quarrel?" he asked. Whatever teasing there usually was in his tone wasn't found in it tonight.
