"What reason do you want?" Alex asked, swallowing a lump in his throat.
"I'm selfish," he went on."I'm shallow, like a fucking puddle." Alex wasn't looking for Leon to argue with him about it. Alex already knew it, it was there in his eyes. Hurt and it was all his own fault. He tried to do good, but in the end, all he did was for himself and his own survival. It was why he sold drugs, just so he could have a roof over his head while he sold poison to desperate people.
