Who: Kitty and Diana What: Valentine's Day dinner date When: Valentine's Day Where: Fancy restaurant, then a hotel Warnings: High for adult sexytimes
Valentine’s Day was quite the thing for Greeks. Granted, it had been a while since Diana had last celebrated the day with a significant other, but she was no less enthusiastic about it. So she’d gotten a reservation at a fancy restaurant, then promptly went shopping to find the perfect dress. Diana had several dresses in her closet that would’ve served the purpose nicely, but she’d wanted a new dress to show off. And she’d found the perfect one.
After getting ready, she headed to a flower shop to pick up the bouquet of red roses she’d ordered, then she headed to Kitty’s. She also had a gift stashed in her purse, but the gift would come later. Once she got to Kitty’s, she grabbed the flowers, headed up to the door and knocked.
In the past 5 years, Kitty had had exactly one good Valentine’s day. One had been marred by Xi’an’s death a few days later, and every one since had been affected by that. One year, she's realized she hadn’t loved her girlfriend at the time. The next she'd been lost in the time stream and lost Rachel to it. There was the year Gaz had left her just a few weeks before. And just last year she'd been pining for someone she couldn't have. She was still stinging that Esmeralda and the Court had gone. The first two months of the year really were terrible for her. At least being tortured by a wraith inhabiting Tarot’s body had been spring and not winter.
The 5th anniversary of Xi’an’s death was in just 3 days. It was the last thing she wanted to think about. It would be the same thing as always. Her and the twins leaving stones at the memorial she'd built out in the woods, at what had been Her and Xi’an’s spot.
Still, she knew it was important to Diana and a part of her desperately wanted better memories for this time of year. She didn't want to be depressed or angry, she wanted Diana’s presence to be a salve, and to that end she wore a slinky white dress, let her hair flow down over her shoulders.
Kitty should know better though, and even the twins saw it. As soon as she opened the door and saw Diana everything else fell away. Diana dazzled her, made the world bright and good and brought out that part of her she'd thought had been murdered by bitterness and anger. Like the first time they met, Kitty stared, and flushed, and stammered a little. “Hey. Wow…”
Diana did her best to remain upbeat and hopeful for the future, even if she didn’t actually feel that way. She’d felt like she’d lost some of that after dreaming about Steve’s death. The loss had hit her harder than she’d anticipated, but she always tried to be warm and happy when Kitty was around. The sting of those dreams was fading, and she didn’t even think of it whenever Kitty was around.
As it was, she was aiming to make this evening a good one for both of them. Especially after that whole apocalypse thing. Sometimes Diana really needed to be more self-aware of her body’s needs and not run herself into the ground the way she had during the earthquakes. But she tended to get tunnel vision when people were in need and everything else faded away.
Seeing Kitty when she opened the door, Diana ran her gaze over her. A warm and bright smile crossed her face as she looked at her girlfriend. “Hello. Happy Valentine’s Day, beautiful,” she said as she held the roses out to Kitty.
A warm blush spread across Kitty’s face and she shuffled a foot bashfully. “Happy V-Day to you too.”
Taking the roses, she stepped aside so Diana could come in. It gave her a chance to really check her out before getting the roses in a vase. If she stumbled a few times and ran into the wall once, it was entirely the fault of Diana’s dress and Kitty having one of those too gay to function moments.
Diana had to say that she did enjoy when she made Kitty blush and stumble over herself a bit. She stepped inside and her grin widened further. “Thank you. You are a vision of beauty that would make Aphrodite jealous.” Diana had almost gone with a black dress, but she had always liked red, and it played well with her coloring, even if her dark hair was tied up. Of course, her dress also did wonders to show off her muscles as well.
Diana was clearly buttering her up, and Kitty didn’t mind. She was a long way from the days when she doubted her own beauty and looks but it still felt wonderful to be desired by a woman like Diana.
Once the roses were taken care of, she gave in and ran her hands up Diana’s arms, then looped them around her neck. “I could make the kids sleep over at a friend’s and we could stay in…”
“I get the distinct feeling you want me naked,” she teased lightly as she slid her arms around Kitty’s waist and held her close. She definitely didn’t mind being naked, especially where Kitty was concerned. Though Diana was certain no matter what actually happened for dinner, they’d end up naked eventually.
“Oh no, not entirely,” Kitty promised. “The stockings can stay on.”
She flashed an easy grin at Diana before her stomach rumbled, “... But I think we should actually eat before we get to dessert?”
“I am rather fond of that image,” Diana responded. Nothing but stockings was certainly a hot look on any woman. Though she had to chuckle at the rumbling stomach. “It may be best. Dessert on an empty stomach is not always the best idea.” She grinned warmly, lightly rubbing a hand along Kitty’s back.
Kitty didn’t think she could pull it off, but she could vividly imagine Diana. She spent another minute groping Diana’s arms, before kissing her lightly on the cheek. “You still haven’t told me where we’re going, only that I needed to dress all fancy.”
“Now, if I told you, that would just ruin the surprise,” she said with a cheeky smirk and a glint in her eyes. “But rest assured that the menu is kosher and everything.” Diana had taken great pains to ensure to find a restaurant that offered plenty of choice, which included kosher choices.
Chewing on her lip, Kitty slipped her arm into Diana’s, “Thank you. I’ll never give up pizza and bacon, but I’ve been trying to get better at that.”
Between the OC and her dreams, she felt like she needed to reaffirm parts of her faith, and reconnect a little. Particularly in her dreams it felt like she drifted away from her roots at times. And Diana had noticed and Kitty felt something give in her chest.
Crap. She was having an emotion.
Diana liked to pride herself on being observant and respectful. She would always ensure there was a kosher option when they went to dinner. Of if Diana cooked, she’d make something kosher. She wasn’t Jewish, but she would most certainly respect her girlfriend’s faith.
“You are welcome. Now, we should be going lest we are late and our reservation is given to someone else.” With Kitty’s arm in hers, she led the way back out to the car.
Thinking this wasn’t the moment for that kind of confession, Kitty swallowed words that she’d been thinking more and more. Was 7 months too soon?
Regardless, she focused instead on Diana, adoringly. “We wouldn’t want to have that.”
“Indeed not,” Diana said with a smile. She led Kitty to the car and opened the passenger door for her. Once she was in, Diana got in the driver’s side and headed off for the restaurant. “Did your children try to help you get dressed?” Diana was well aware of how the twins sometimes meddled in Kitty’s life. After all, they’d given Diana Kitty’s phone number in the first place.
“They’ve gotten pretty good at the make-up thing,” Kitty replied, reaching over to rest her hand on Diana’s leg. “Which is my weakest skill, to be honest.”
She wasn’t entirely joking. Kitty hadn’t always seen the need for make-up, before she’d started seriously dating again.
Glancing at Kitty, she smiled warmly. “I can understand. Make-up is not easy to get a handle on.” Diana herself didn’t wear much make-up, unless she was getting dressed up. But it had taken her a while to master eyeliner. “Sometimes it is better to have six hands for make-up instead of two.” She chuckled lightly, setting one hand over Kitty’s that was on her thigh.
Trying not to imagine Diana with six hands, Kitty swallowed. “Knew a girl with six hands. Her name was Spiral. Was usually an enemy, once in awhile an ally. Sometimes it’s amazing how many times we fight people then join them, then fight them again a few years later.”
“It is strange to see how people change depending upon the times.” Or some people were just deceptive and didn’t show their true colors at first. Like Ares having been in the guise of helping to stop the development of the weapon Dr. Maru and General Luddendorf had been working on, then he revealed himself to Diana later on. Diana gave Kitty’s hand a little squeeze.
“Sometimes they’re right, too,” Kitty replied, thinking of Magneto, and even Scott. But that was neither here nor there. “There’s this place called the Mojoverse. Run by this disgusting creature called Mojo, he liked to put on shows. The ultimate reality shows, and it usually involves us suffering or dieing in the process. She’s one of his enforcers.”
She added, “Still better than Trump!”
“Sometimes, yes.” Diana could understand that some people were right, no matter how much she wanted them to be wrong. Ares had been right that humans did horrible things to each other, but she had also been right that there were good people that fought against such things. People like Steve.
And that was a sore spot that most likely wasn’t going to heal any time soon. But unlike her dream self, Diana wasn’t shutting herself down. Though if she didn’t have Kitty, she probably would have shutdown on herself.
“It is rather easy to be better than Trump.” Sometimes, Diana worried about her status in the country. She was here legally, of course, but sometimes she felt rather unwelcome.
“It’s a very low bar,” Kitty admitted. Very low indeed. Trump and the implications remained terrifying for someone like her. Show hoped Esmeralda and co had simply left the country. It would be safer for them, as much as it pained her to admit it.
“But we’ve got to have hope. I think you help with that, beautiful.”
Diana smiled. “There are many others who do much more than I do. I think the extent to which I help doesn’t go that far beyond yourself.” It wasn’t just modesty speaking. Diana didn’t make that many waves, in her opinion. She fought when invasions happened. She did her best to save people that were in trouble due to the crazy that happened here. But she didn’t think of it much. She just simply did what she believed was right.
“You inspire. Don’t discount how important inspiration is, Diana. Hope is a powerful energy, and we won more times than not on the thin power of hope. It’s one of the things I love about you.” Kitty surprised herself with her own passion, coughing lightly and looking out the window.
Diana did not miss the use of the word ‘love’ in Kitty’s words. She smiled and gave Kitty’s hand a squeeze. “I will do my best to remember that. And your passion is one of the things I love about you.” She glanced over at Kitty. While Diana was passionate and didn’t try to hide what she felt, she didn’t always put her feelings into words. Diana preferred to show how she felt, though she knew there were times when she needed to say it.
Kitty tried to ignore the implication in Diana’s words. She wasn’t entirely ready to face how she felt about Diana. Okay she was 100% in love and they’d been together 7 months which was a record for her as she tended to rush into things but she’d been trying to take it slow, emotionally.
So she was pretty proud of herself.
“I’m glad you like that part of me, because it’s not something I can turn off.”
“I would not wish you to turn it off if you could. Passion is the spark of life, one of the things that drives us. Without it, life is rather dull.” Or so Diana believed. She had never been one to coast or settle for dull. She tended to throw herself fully into whatever she was doing, and she enjoyed it when it was given right back to her.
Finally, they arrived at their destination. It was definitely a fancy restaurant, one that Diana had meticulously decided on after generating a list of potential places to go for dinner that evening. The menu had the best selection, and thus she’d chosen it. “We are here,” she said as she parked and got out of the car.
Kitty watched her get out of the car, wondering how on earth that could be at all that attractive of a thing. And yet it was incredibly hot, enough so that she almost forgot to get out of the car. But she did eventually, adjusting her dress and then closing the door. And then she was distracted by Diana’s back. “How are you so perfect,” She blurted.
Hearing that, Diana looked over at Kitty, a warm smile on her face. “I assure you that I am not perfect. No one is perfect, not even the gods themselves.” She may be a demigoddess, but that didn’t make her perfect. She held her hand out to Kitty, intending to hold her hand while walking into the restaurant.
“You’re smart, capable, kind and gentle, and you’re passionate.” She caught up to Diana, taking her hand. If there was one thing that Kitty was not afraid of, it was showing off her sexy, sexy girlfriend. Or any girlfriend. She leaned into her, smiling in delight. They made quite a pair, and Kitty was proud to be seen with her.
Diana grinned at Kitty, also not afraid of showing off her beautiful and sexy girlfriend. She took a moment to appreciate Kitty as she leaned into her. “The same can be said about you.” Their height difference could potentially be on the amusing side for some, but Diana didn’t mind it. She liked being the tall one.
She then led the way into the restaurant. The smell of the food was exquisite, and Diana felt as though she could eat a feast meant for an army right now. She gave her name for the reservation, and they were taken to a table that had a nice view out the window, but also enough privacy to cut down on eavesdropping from other tables. Diana certainly pulled out all the stops.
“Would you like wine or champagne? Or something else?” She asked Kitty once they were seated.
“Wine sounds perfect,” Kitty assured her. “But champagne is fun and bubbly so lets go with that instead. This time of year, I could use fun and bubbly.”
It was probably the only acknowledgement she’d make about it. She’d go radio silent Friday, do her thing with the kids.
Right now, she stared at Diana and thanked her lucky stars. For all that Kitty was independent, she enjoyed being in a relationship. She was sappy and loving and liked being held. She glanced out the window. “I love the view.”
“Champagne it shall be.” Diana said with a smile and ordered a bottle when the waiter brought them some water. She gazed back at Kitty, enjoying the view. It felt wonderful to be able to go out with someone on Valentine’s Day for the first time in quite a while.
Glancing out the window, a fond smile came over her face before she looked back at Kitty. “I am happy for that. It is one of the reasons I chose this restaurant.”
Biting her lip, Kitty slipped her foot out of her shoe and nudged Diana’s foot with her own. “Have you eaten here before? I’ve never been, so I’m not sure what’s good.”
She felt oddly nervous, and hated inane conversation. But a little flirting? That could calm her. Hopefully.
“Only once,” she responded. Feeling the nudge to her foot, Diana returned the nudge as she looked at Kitty. “I had a pasta dish that was rather good. Though according to that food app, Yelp, there does not seem to be a bad thing on their menu.”
“Pasta does sound really good,” Kitty decided, dragging her toe up the front of Diana’s leg. “But it might be almost too filling. I won’t have room for dessert.” She patted her stomach.
“Dessert is always the best part,” Diana replied smoothly. A little shiver ran through her at feeling Kitty’s toe run up her leg. She glanced through the menu. “Perhaps I may try one of their chicken dishes.”
“I’m feeling ice cream,” Kitty said. “Something we can really get our tongues licking.”
She said it with a straight face, barely. “Why don’t you pick something and we’ll share the same dish. I think I can trust your taste.”
“I can get behind that,” she responded, also with a straight face. But if Diana had her way, they would definitely be putting their tongues to work later. But first, they needed food in order to have the energy for it.
“Alright,” she said, settling on one of the chicken dishes. She put in the order after the waiter returned with their champagne bottle and poured them each a glass before leaving the bottle to chill.
Continuing to stare at Diana, Kitty wondered what else was planned. And if Diana had gotten her something besides flowers. She had something for her too, though it wasn’t really much of anything. “I realize I should have asked this before, but what’s your favorite chocolate?”
Diana had a gift for Kitty. She’d actually spent a while wondering if she should actually buy it or not. In the end, she finally just decided to get it. The worst that could happen would be Kitty rejecting it, and no one fell in love without taking some risks, so Diana had decided to take the risk.
“I assume you mean milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and so forth? I’ll eat it all, but I tend to like dark chocolate the best. What about you?”
“I’m old fashioned, milk chocolate. I’m picky when it comes to more bitter things.” She needed her coffee sweetened a great deal to be tolerable. “But there’s a place nearby, I’ll buy you some dark chocolate.”
“That is good to know,” Diana said, filing that information away for later use. Let it not be said that Diana did not pay attention to details of those around her. “I think that would be a very nice addition to dessert.”
“It’s settled then.” Kitty picked up her bubbly and took a sip, closing her eyes and then giggling as it tickled her nose. She could honestly say it had been awhile since she’d last had some. Someone’s wedding, probably.
Diana smiled warmly as Kitty giggled. “Has anyone ever told you that you have a very cute giggle?” She asked, eyeing her girlfriend as she took a sip of her champagne. She settled right back into flirting.
“Do not.” Kitty hid behind her glass, then lowered it and smiled lovingly at Diana. “It’s not as cute as your smile. I love your smile…”
There was a lot of things she loved about Diana, going well beyond physical attributes. She seemed to glow with empathy and kindness, and it was all true and not an act.
“You do, too,” Diana said, her smile widening. “Luckily for you, I seem to smile more when you are around.” Not that Diana hadn’t smiled often before, but she had noticed that she definitely smiled more with Kitty around.
Tossing her hair a bit, Kitty sat back and tried to act all cool and collected. “I’m glad I have that effect. Really glad. It’s kind of nice.”
She bit her tongue before she said more. Grand confessions of love in public tended to end badly for her.
Diana rather loved Kitty’s hair. She liked to tangle her fingers in it. But of course, that wasn’t something suited for a fancy restaurant. Instead, she settled for watching it as Kitty tossed it then sat back.
“So am I. I rather prefer being happy.” Being sad didn’t go well with Diana. She was definitely the type to close up on herself and brood for a century an eternity. So to have Kitty in her life, she definitely wouldn’t trade anything for that.
While Kitty wasn’t an elf, she did have a subtle hair kink. She loved to have her hair played with and petted, her scalp massaged. Any partner who figured that out was a step above the rest.
Kitty leaned on her elbows, gazing at Diana. “When you’re happy, you shine.”
Given how touchy-feely Diana was, it hadn’t taken her overly long to discern that Kitty liked having her hair played with. She also leaned forward, gazing into Kitty’s eyes. “Do I? I cannot help it. You help bring it out in me.”
Ducking her head, Kitty played with the edge of the table, rubbing her fingers against it. Her throat bobbed, and she asked a question that had been on her mind for weeks, “How… Are we… I mean… “
The food arrived, which saved her for the time being.
Diana tilted her head, wondering what Kitty was trying to ask. However, the food arriving distracted for the time being. She picked up her fork and knife, looking at Kitty. “Now, shall we see how good this dish is?” It smelled good, but that didn’t always mean anything.
But Diana was going to pry about that question that was interrupted once they’d both started eating.
“Lets eat!” Kitty spun her fork around in her fingers, then stuck it into the food. She grinned at Diana, having no intention of finishing what she was asking, now that she’d had a chance to think about it. It was stupid, and it was hard not to blurt.
Kitty was blurty and she hated it.
She chuckled softly and took a bite of the food. It was definitely delicious and she made a yummy sound. “This is so delicious. The chef should be proud.” As soon as she said it, it definitely reminded her of when her dream self had had ice cream for the first time.
“We should compliment him.” As good as the food was, Kitty felt antsy. She wanted to get some place secluded. Not for the obvious reasons, actually. But because she wanted Diana to herself, and it was easier to talk in private. “How’s work?”
It wasn’t small talk. She was genuinely interested.
“Yes, we should.” Diana always liked giving compliments where she could to those who deserved them. This chef certainly was one of them. “It’s going well. I am attempting to acquire some new pieces for an exhibit, but given the fact it is a smaller museum, it is difficult to get a hold of more famous and expensive pieces.” It was a challenge, but one that Diana loved.
“Sounds challenging, but I’m sure you’re more than up to the task,” Kitty said. “What kind of pieces are they? Like from which part of the world?”
“I am,” Diana responded with a nod. “Some pottery pieces from western Asia. In wanting to keep things rotating through the museum and give the locals a variety of antiquities to learn about, I’m moving to some Asian countries for the next exhibit we are working on. I want to do an exhibit focusing solely on the Silk Road, and a western Asia exhibit might be a good way to lead into that one.”
“So like Mongolia, leading into Pakistan and so on? Or is Pakistan more South Asia?” It was such a huge mass of land, Kitty knew it was filled with more variety than you could count.
Diana grinned a bit, mostly because she was able to delve into the topic more. “Actually it’s further west than Pakistan. Western Asia is sometimes used instead of the geopolitical term Middle East. So it encompasses countries such as Turkey, Iran, Iraq, so on and so forth. I’m focusing moreso on the Mesopotamia region, but I am also taking whatever I am able to find as well.”
Diana was showing off her brain muscles instead of her regular muscles and to Kitty that was just as sexy. She gave her a look that was a little starry-eyed. “You can’t tell me there’s not a little personal interest in Mesopotamia.”
“There may be a bit of personal interest in Mesopotamia, yes.” Diana chuckled. And it wasn’t just because of the ties to Greek history either. Mesopotamia was where many of the most important developments in human history occurred, such as the invention of the wheel and such. “But it is a very fascinating area, especially given how many empires both ruled and influenced it over time.”
“Is there anything in particular you’re hoping to get your hands on? Is it like, a trade, or is it it like… something you borrow for a time. Don’t a lot of museums do a timeshare? Especially as there’s a lot of talk about returning artifacts to their countries of origin.”
“There are a couple pieces that are thousands of years old that I am hoping to get my hands on. They have some Assyrian influences. There is also an artifact with some of the earliest writing known to us that dates back to about 3,100 B.C.” Or, in other words, that writing sample was as old as Diana was in her dreams, give or take a couple decades. “Mostly it is borrowing, though it depends upon the museum. Some museums can trade for a period of time depending on what artifacts they may own. There are also some exhibits that travel the world, or just the country, and stay for a couple months at one museum before moving on.”
Sometimes Kitty was glad Bo had snatched up Lara before she’d met Diana, she was pretty sure she wouldn’t stand a chance otherwise. “I hope you get what you’re angling for. It’ll be good for the museum. And I think you’ll feel pretty good about it, won’t you.”
“Yes, I certainly would feel good about it. The larger, more famous museums like the Louvre or the Smithsonian tend to get artifacts of that caliber, but I am trying my best.” Diana could turn on the charm when she wanted to. She may be young yet, but she did have some recognition as far as ancient Greek and Mesopotamian antiquities went.
“Just smile like that and they’ll be eating out of your hands. A bit like me.” Kitty played a bit of footsie again. Somehow during all of this she’d managed to finish her meal which left her entirely at Diana’s mercy.
Diana chuckled. “I suppose we shall see if that happens.” She played footsie right back. She liked doing that, having that contact with Kitty. Finishing her food, she finished off her champagne. “Now for dessert, did you want to get it here or somewhere else?”
“I want that chocolate,” Kitty reminded her. “And to get you all to my lonesome. Even if it might just be a stroll through the park or something.”
Diana nodded and asked for the check when the waiter came to collect the plates. “Then we should go get that chocolate.” When the check came, Diana paid it, leaving a nice tip, then she stood up and held her hand out to Kitty. “Shall we?”
Kitty took Diana’s hand, threading their fingers together. “Yes, lets.” She looked like she was going to say more as they walked out, but she bit her lip.
She noted the way Kitty looked like she had more to say, but waited until they were outside. “You said that chocolate place was nearby? Did you want to walk there instead of drive?” She asked, keeping her hold of Kitty’s hand.
“It’s just down the street.”Kitty pointed. “I wouldn’t mind walking. I like showing you off. You’re just so … amazing and beautiful. I feel completely inadequate sometimes.”
She held up her hand. “Which is old self-esteem issues talking and I know it. But my brain doesn’t always agree.”
“Brains can be evil like that sometimes. But it is good that you recognize that. No matter what, you are beautiful and amazing. I am a very proud and lucky woman to have you in my life.” Diana smiled warmly at Kitty. She then gestured for Kitty to lead the way.
“We make a pretty hot couple,” Kitty agreed. She started to lead Diana, though she wasn’t in a particular hurry. She felt warm and fuzzy from the champagne and the evening, and leaned into Diana as they walked. “Is it… bad that I keep wondering when something will happen? Like being with you is too good to be true.”
She glanced down at Kitty, smiling softly. “I do not think so. I think it is natural to wonder such a thing. But I would much rather live in the moment and enjoy what I have now than to worry about what the future may hold.” Sometimes it was easier said than done, of course, but Diana did make it seem quite easy to live in the moment.
Had she ever told Diana everything? Xi’an, yes. What happened Alicia? She couldn’t remember, and in some ways that was harder than losing Xi’an, though easier than others. Xi’an had been taken from her, but Alicia had left her to deal with a trauma and denying her closure. She didn’t think Diana would do the latter and the former wasn’t too likely though. Even if Diana was the kind of person to put herself in harm’s way, she was Wonder Woman.
If something could kill Diana, Kitty would have more things to worry about than just that.
She stopped suddenly, sliding her free hand up Diana’s arm, and then the back of her head and pulled her down for a kiss. Thinking about that possibility, as remote as it was, hurt. When she broke the kiss the words fell out, “I love you.”
Diana knew she wasn’t indestructible. There were some things that could kill her, most notably being another god. However, she was half-human and a bullet to her heart or something of the sort could probably kill her just as easily as a normal human. But Diana never thought about that, didn’t even have a fear of death. She would throw herself into harm’s way to protect the innocent without a second thought.
And sometimes she needed to remember that Kitty was also a superhero with her own powers. She wasn’t as fragile as Steve was. Diana didn’t talk about it, but his death still stung, still haunted her. Some nights she’d dream of his death again, and it still hurt just as bad as the first time she’d dreamed it. Though she hadn’t gone on a rampage since the first time she’d dreamt of it.
When Kitty pulled her in for a kiss, Diana slid a hand to the back of Kitty’s head, tangling her fingers into her hair as she returned the kiss. Then at hearing those three words, a big, bright grin spread across her face. “I love you, too.” She ran her fingers through Kitty’s hair.
Ohthankgod. Kitty grinned, then burst into a relieved laugh before wrapping her arms around Diana’s shoulders. “Oh god, I was about to freak out there!”
Diana slid an arm around Kitty’s back, pulling her close as her other hand played with Kitty’s hair. “I’m glad that you don’t have to freak out. I rather prefer this.” She chuckled softly.
“I love you,” Kitty repeated. “And like...I tend to do things fast. Really fast. Not just jumping into bed cuz we did that, but the emotional things, and I tried so hard, so hard not to mess this up with you. I didn’t want it to be an infatuation, or to get cursed or…”
She was going to keep babbling, it was inevitable.
Kitty was entirely adorable when she babbled. Diana did contemplate letting her continue to babble for a few moments before she decided on a different approach. She just grinned, then leaned in and kissed Kitty again. She didn’t care about being in public, she only cared about Kitty.
Letting out a little surprised sound, Kitty shut up and kissed Diana back. She let it linger, even deepened it a little bit. She really, really wanted to get her hands all over Diana in that dress, but she managed to contain herself. “...best Valentine’s Day, ever.”
“We’re not even done celebrating yet,” Diana commented with a grin, keeping Kitty close to her. She had a gift to give yet, but Diana felt like doing that once they were somewhere private. “Though I agree, it is the best Valentine’s Day ever.”
“Well, there’s the chocolate,” Kitty recalled, then gave Diana a suspicious look. “And something else?”
“I have something for you, actually.” Diana admitted. “But we can get the chocolate first.” Though she somehow thought that Kitty would find it difficult to wait for the gift she had to give her.
She looked like this was going to kill her. Kitty chewed on her lip, then exhaled and nodded. She gestured vaguely in the direction of the chocolate shop, wishing she’d gotten Diana something better. Luckily she momentarily forgot once they were inside and the aroma of chocolate and candy filled her nostrils. “Heaven.”
Diana bit back a chuckle at seeing that look on Kitty’s face. She followed her to the chocolate shop, and upon stepping inside, she had to take a deep breath. “Definitely heaven,” she agreed with a smile. Diana immediately moved towards the fudge choices, looking them over carefully.
“Pick out whatever you want,” Kitty suggested, moving to Diana and rubbing her hands up and down her arms. She leaned in and kissed Diana’s back. “Anything.”
“Are you certain about that? I could pick out the entire shop.” Diana chuckled. She wouldn’t actually do that. That would be a little much. While she had a sweet tooth, there was only so much that she could actually handle at once. Not to mention Lent would begin on Monday and there would be a lot of dietary restrictions going on for her. Dairy products being one of those.
“See, now that’s tempting.” Kitty pulled away from Diana, walking over to where they had chocolate covered strawberries. She eyed them and licked her lips. “Though I know where I want to start.”
It was Valentine’s Day. And while she didn’t need an aphrodisiac to get her motor going, it was still fun. And delicious.
Smiling, Diana picked out some fudge that was rather appealing. She then moved over to Kitty and eyed the chocolate covered strawberries. “Those definitely look good.” Diana enjoyed strawberries, and adding chocolate to them made them even better.
“I’ll buy these for us too,” Kitty decided, grabbing them and the fudge that Diana had picked out. She brought them up to the counter to pay, hopping from foot to foot in her excitement.
“Thank you,” she said with a smile as Kitty went to pay for their selections. This was certainly an exciting evening, even on top of knowing that they’d end the night naked and in each other’s arms. The chocolate and strawberries only added to it. She waited for Kitty to pay before she took her free hand again, threading her fingers through Kitty’s. “Now, back to my place or to yours? Or shall we go somewhere else?” Somewhere else implying getting a hotel room.
Maybe they’d end up naked and in each other’s arms. Kitty never assumed. Hoped, yes. Even after so many times in Diana’s bed, she couldn’t quite believe it still happened. She wet her lips, actually blushing. “I was hoping for… somewhere else. I get the impression you have plans.”
“The only thing I had planned was dinner. Whatever happened after that was solely up to us.” Diana said with a smile. She took Kitty’s hand in hers again and headed back towards the car. She knew where to go to get a hotel room where it could just be them and no one else.
“How about you just surprise me,” Kitty suggested. She didn’t mind when Diana led her like this. The closet romantic in her, buoyed by the fact Diana was unlike anyone Kitty had dated in her dreams. Not a jerk!
“I can do that.” Diana said with an easy smile. She liked surprising Kitty. Getting back to the car, she opened the passenger door for Kitty, then she got in the driver’s side and headed off to a hotel. She was eager to simply be alone with her girlfriend and savor the experience with her.
“I’m gonna make out with you so hard,” Kitty joked. It was also a promise, but she was mostly making a joke of it. She felt nervous. Admitting feelings and everything and it was like those first few weeks again when everything was new and mysterious and exciting.
Who was she kidding, it was like that every time she saw Diana.
She grinned, looking over at Kitty. “I like the sound of that.” Even if it was joking, Diana just wanted to be close to Kitty. She was very touchy-feely, and she just wanted to feel her girlfriend in her arms. As it was, she couldn’t get to the hotel fast enough. Sometimes speed limits were evil.
Giggling, Kitty leaned against her a little bit. Being a touchy feely person with a touchy feeling girlfriend was actually really amazing. Kitty couldn’t get enough of that. She moved her hand down to Diana’s knee. “Drive faster.”
While Diana wanted to put an arm around Kitty’s shoulders, she felt it was better to keep both hands on the steering wheel. Especially as she obliged Kitty and drove faster. After a few more minutes, she finally came to the hotel she had in mind, and pulled into the parking lot. It was a nicer hotel, one that Diana had suggested to her mother to use when she chose to visit her here.
“Here we are,” Diana said with a smile, leaning in to steal a kiss from Kitty before getting out of the car.
Unless Kitty was drunk, a car accident probably wouldn’t hurt her. Though she’d had more than one nightmare of passing out and phasing through the steering column. That… would not be a good death.
“Here we were.” She returned the kiss then hopped out after grabbing the chocolate.
Diana had her purse, which held Kitty’s present in it, and once again taking Kitty’s hand, she headed inside with her. Going up to the front desk, she requested a room for them. While Diana had thought about booking a hotel room ahead of time, she’d ultimately decided to wait and see how Kitty felt after dinner.
After receiving a room and their roomkey, Diana led the way to the elevator. Once inside the elevator, she did take initiative and pinned Kitty against the wall. “Now I have you all to myself.” Well, and the security camera that was most likely in the corner of the elevator, but Diana didn’t care about that.
Kitty was caught off guard in the elevator. The pressure against her back and the firmness of Diana’s body against hers stripped her mind of anything but the present. She wanted to say something clever but instead just moaned.
She smiled at hearing Kitty’s moan. Her hands trailed up Kitty’s sides and she leaned down and kissed her. Diana liked the feeling of Kitty’s body against hers. This was definitely a nice way to start the rest of their evening.
Wrapping a leg around Diana, Kitty moaned again, returning the kiss with characteristic fire. Her fingers dragged down Diana’s arms, and then her back, and finally grabbed her butt.
It was Diana’s turn to groan. She dragged a hand along the leg Kitty had wrapped around her. She pressed a little closer against Kitty as she returned the fiery kiss. She barely heard the ding that the elevator had reached the floor their hotel room was on. Her hands moved to Kitty’s hips and pulled them tight against hers as she started to pull away from the wall, taking Kitty with her.
Laughing, Kitty wrapped her arms around her shoulders and moved her teeth to Diana’s shoulder, biting down hard and trying to leave a mark. This was probably not successful, but she tried admirably.
Someone whistled, she flipped them off.
Diana groaned and a shiver ran through her as Kitty bit her shoulder. There was a mark on her shoulder for several seconds. If blood had been drawn, the mark would’ve stayed for a couple minutes before it healed completely. She glanced at the person who whistled and gave them a look. She could totally push them through a wall without much effort on her part, but she felt that would be rude. And she also didn’t want to get kicked out of the hotel, so she simply ignored them as she navigated the way to their hotel room. She unlocked it and backed Kitty into the room.
Once she heard the door close, Kitty touched her finger to Diana’s dress and it fell to the floor. Her own joined it, and she phased any underwear off as well. She felt … desperate. Like if they didn’t do this here and now she’d regret it.
The phasing off of their clothing was rather hot, and Diana only paused long enough to slide her gaze over Kitty’s naked form. “You are so beautiful,” she murmured before she bent down, grabbed the backs of Kitty’s thighs and picked her up. She pressed her against the wall and kissed her feverishly.
Kitty literally squeaked, her body shuddering under Diana’s. She was dead, she was dying, she was dying and it was wonderful and then she started laughing into the kiss. The happiness had bubbled up out of her and had to escape.
She grinned into the kiss, keeping Kitty’s body pressed against the wall with her own. After wrapping Kitty’s legs around her waist, Diana’s hands began to wander across her skin. One slid up to a breast and caressed it, thumb rubbing over her nipple.
“Oh fuck…” Kitty hissed, leaning her head back against the wall and groaning softly. “God, I love you Diana…”
“I love you too, Kitty,” she responded, trailing her mouth down to Kitty’s neck. Diana flicked her tongue against the soft skin, peppering in some nips. She loved the feeling of their skin pressed together. Her free hand roamed over Kitty’s skin, caressing it and also lightly raking her fingernails along it.
Diana was like a rock in a lot of places, something that Kitty’s hands were very happily taking advantage of. Muscles and soft, supple flesh, a different kind of hardness from a man. “I knew I was screwed the moment we met…”
“Because I’m tall, dark and beautiful?” Diana asked huskily. She nipped along Kitty’s collarbone, managing to not make a pun out of Kitty’s statement to the effect that she was getting screwed now. Her free hand slid up to Kitty’s other breast, giving it some attention as her other one slid down along her stomach.
“Yes,” Kitty rasped. “Stunning and beautiful, like a shining beacon. You’re lit up from ins...god...sgod...holy shit.”
She couldn’t speak very well as Diana’s hands moved over her body. It was a little annoying. She wanted to worship Diana’s body.
Diana was a bit amused by the fact that she was making it difficult for Kitty to speak. So to make it even harder for Kitty, her free hand slid down between her legs and she started to rub her clit. Her mouth trailed along Kitty’s chest.
She made a sound that was a sort of laugh moan, and buried her face into the crook of Diana’s neck. This was definitely the best Valentine’s Day she’d ever had, in any universe, and she could feel both emotions and endorphins flooding her as Diana brought her quickly to the edge.
She pressed her body tighter against Kitty’s as she moved her fingers faster and harder against her. She loved driving Kitty to the edge and making her scream in pleasure. For effect, she murmured ‘I love you’ in Greek.
That was really all it took. Kitty screamed, probably loud enough to bother the neighbors, and later on she might care (or maybe not). Right now though, her body felt like it was on fire, a coiled spring coming undone as she fell off the cliff and into the warm waves of her orgasm.
She smiled, keeping hold of Kitty as she rode her orgasm. Once Kitty’s orgasm had passed, she pulled her hand out from between them, slid her arms around her and pulled away from the wall and walked over to the bed where she laid Kitty down and laid down beside her, pulling her close against her and rubbing her back gently.
“Oh my god…” Kitty’s eyes rolled back, and she snuggled in against Diana. She’d need a few minutes to recover, she was pretty sure. “I think you almost sated me. Almost”
“Almost, you say?” Diana chuckled huskily. She slid a hand up and played with Kitty’s hair. “I shall take that as a compliment.” She had an easy grin on her face as she held Kitty close to her.
“I’m the definition of insatiable,” Kitty promised her, tilting her head into Diana’s hand. The fingers in her hair were almost better than the orgasm had been. “You’re in trouble, Diana.”
Chuckling again, Diana continued to play with Kitty’s hair. She had a grin stretched across her face. “Luckily, I do welcome and enjoy trouble. So bring it on,” she responded.
“Mm…” Kitty giggled. If that was Diana’s present for her, then she could die a happy woman. She sat up suddenly, looking down at Diana with a very serious expression. “I love you.”
That wasn’t actually Diana’s present for her, but she’d temporarily forgotten about that. Mostly because her purse had been dropped somewhere just inside the door where their clothes were. When Kitty sat up and looked at her, she smiled gently. “I love you, too.” She reached out and brushed her fingers along Kitty’s arm.
“I’m so lucky. You’re so beautiful, and kind and I don’t have enough adjectives to really describe you. I wish I could show you how much I appreciate you.” She put her hand over Diana’s.
She smiled, giving Kitty’s arm a little squeeze as she propped herself up on her elbow. “You certainly are doing a good job of showing how much you appreciate me.” She gazed at her lovingly. “But I think both of us are lucky.”
“I’ll have to show you even more.” She leaned down, kissing Diana soundly before slipping out of bed and making her way to the minibar in the buff. “Do you want something to drink? Water? Wine?”
She was dying of thirst, and not just her thirst for Diana.
Diana returned the kiss, then sat fully upright as Kitty slid out of bed. She admired her girlfriend’s body for some moments. “Water, please.” Water would definitely be a good idea. She then caught sight of her purse and suddenly remembered that gift. Diana stood up and went to retrieve her purse. “Now, you have been patient, so I think now is the time to give you your present.”
Opening her purse, Diana pulled out a thin box then handed it to Kitty. It was obvious that it was jewelry considering nothing else came in a box quite like that. Upon opening it, Kitty would find a bracelet. Diana just hoped that Kitty actually liked it.
There were those really expensive water bottles and Kitty pulled two out, turning to admire Diana. There was literally nothing about her that wasn’t perfect and Kitty chewed on her lip to keep from being too gay to function. She traded off one of the water bottles for the box and opened it curiously. She gasped, and held the bracelet up to the light, “Diana, it’s beautiful…”
Taking the water bottle in exchange, Diana opened it and took a drink while Kitty opened the box. A warm smile crossed her face. “Not nearly as beautiful as you. I had hoped that you would like it.” The bracelet was a diamond bracelet with the gold band woven in.
Kitty swiftly put the bracelet on, wriggling her wrist to make it jiggle jangle jangle and sparkle in the light. It glimmered in her eyes as she spoke, “I love how it sparkles. Just don’t tell anyone. I’m not supposed to be the sparkle girl.”
She grinned, admiring both the bracelet on Kitty’s wrist and also how Kitty reacted to it. “My lips are sealed,” she responded. Diana leaned in and kissed Kitty’s cheek. “But between us, the sparkle suits you.”
“I love you,” Kitty murmured. She started to push Diana back towards the bed, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “and I’m gonna show you exactly how much.”
Diana chuckled as Kitty backed her towards the bed. She liked that look in Kitty’s eyes. “I’m looking forward to it.”
