Tony's lips claimed Pepper's, and for the first time in months, just for a split second he managed to forget he was dying.
'Please, I'm begging you. Give me an out. A way out of this. Let me live for her.'
Tony believed deep down that Pepper would move on. That's why he'd given her the distance. To get ready, so it'd be easier when it happened. Right now though, he couldn't accept that.
