Who: Eliot and Felix What: Eliot gets his powers! When: Recent Where: Felix’s apartment Status: complete Rating: Low - slight mentions of nudity but that’s it
Eliot didn’t sleep over at Felix’s often. Not because he didn’t like to or anything. It just always seemed like they were closer to his apartment when they were ready to call it a night. But when he did stay over he always seemed to wake up slower, drawing out the amount of time he got to just lay and relax in his boyfriend’s bed. This morning was no different as he stretched slowly, reaching out for Felix with one hand and frowning a bit when he felt how damp his pillow was. He could have sworn that he hadn’t had anything liquid on the nightstand last night. And he didn’t think Felix had a waterbed but he’d been a little busy with other things the night before and hadn’t paid much attention to the mattress. If they had punctured the bed somehow he’d replace it. And tease Felix endlessly over the fact they had.

Eliot was only the second guy to spend the night at Felix’s apartment since he and Sarah had moved in together. After all, he and his sister had agreed when they had moved in together that they didn’t want random guys spending the night with Kira around. Sarah had been dating John for awhile now and before Eliot, Felix had been with Josh for a while and now that he and Eliot were in a relationship, it was more than acceptable for the other man to spend the night according to his and Sarah’s agreement.
As far as Felix’s bedroom went, he did not in fact have a waterbed and it was the sudden dampness of the sheets that woke him up. “Bloody hell...Eliot.” He reached out and shook his boyfriend’s shoulder as he surveyed the room.

Eliot sat up, blinking slowly as he saw all the water in the room, puddling in the bed between them and spilling off the edge onto the floor to soak into the carpet. “What the...You don’t have a waterbed do you darling?” he asked giving Felix a surprised look. He realized as the words left him that his hands were wet and he lifted them up to shake them and realized they wouldn’t dry off. “Oh you’ve got to be fucking me.” He muttered as it clicked in his head what had happened.
“This is my fault. I must have cast a spell in my sleep and it actually worked. Margo gets to set zombies on fire and I...flood your bedroom.” He said, his tone a mixture of amusement and annoyance. Both at himself and the situation he was in.

In any other situation Felix would have had a come back Eliot’s statement as he realized that the water was coming from his hands, but now wasn’t the time for smart ass remarks, “You never said that you might end up a human fountain,” Okay, so there were still some smart ass remarks that this situation called for. If for no other reason than to try and lighten the mood.
“So, how do you turn it off? I wasn’t planning on going swimming today.” Felix had no idea where he was even going to start trying to clean this up.

“Well to be fair darling I didn’t know. I was hoping I’d get something more actually...useful. Although I suppose if either of us ever end up with a garden party to plan we know I can handle making sure the plants are all watered properly beforehand?” Eliot asked, barely glancing at him as he tried to think back on the dreams he’d had that night. The key to stopping this had to be in one of them. They’d started this leaking after all.
“Well - if we do end up swimming in all this at least we’re already undressed for it?” he said, trying to joke as he took a deep breath. Okay maybe if he just focused on stopping the water that would be enough to prevent any further damage to the place. He would just think about what he wanted to happen and hope that it worked. He was staring at his hands but not really seeing them as he pictured the water stopping in his mind, his fingers moving in a pattern all their own as the water slowly stopped pouring out.
If only it could have sucked up the water around them so easily.

“I suppose there are some benefits to sleeping naked,” Felix smirked as he watched as Eliot tried to get the water to stop. The hand movements he made were mesmerizing and Felix couldn’t help but wonder what else Eliot would be able to do once he could control his magic. “All things considered, that was pretty fucking cool.”
He sat there a moment or two longer before getting out of bed, bare feet cold on the wet floor and went to the dresser where he pulled out two pairs of boxers and threw one pair at Eliot since the other man’s would have been a casualty of the bedroom flood, “Time to clean this mess before our landlord finds out.” Felix was going to have to tell Sarah what had happened, but he didn’t know how they could explain it to their landlord if he somehow found out.

If anyone had asked Eliot what it felt like as the water stopped pouring out of him he would have described it as something in his brain flexing. He’d have to talk to Margo later and ask if it felt like that for her. And work out practicing together. But for now - he had something more pressing to take care of, cleaning this all up. He grabbed the boxers and shivered a little as he got out of bed, the water skill on his skin making him chilled. “You’d think it’d be warmer not between soaked sheets.” He sighed as he looked around. His clothes were soaked through so he’d have to borrow something from Felix’s closet. Maybe one of these days they should talk about him keeping some things here but right now there was something more important. “I’ll strip the bed and then help get the floor dried. Maybe we’ll be able to do a good enough job you’ll get the security deposit back if you and Sarah ever decide to move,” he said, already moving to take the damp sheets and pillows off the bed. Not quite how he thought today would start but it was pretty cool his magic had finally crossed over from the dreams.
