Rating: PG-13 for violence and succubus style healing
Things had been difficult for Bo of late. Her dreams, the arguing with Lara, and Kenzi leaving for Spain. Bo had kept a lot of her deeper emotions to herself, not wanting to exasperate or bother Lara with her seemingly endless problems. She also hadn’t turned to Kenzi, instead respecting her need to get away from everything. She definitely didn’t blame her for it, Bo could use getting away from everything and pretending she was fine.
There’d also been the added stress that it seemed her biological father in this life was stalking her. He was privy to information she thought that only Lara had known. She couldn’t turn down the gift of the puppy, though. Fae was so cute, she couldn’t give her back. But even the adorableness of the puppy didn’t completely take the edge off of the plethora of negative emotions that had built up within her.
Halloween always tended to bring out the weirdos when the bars opened, and Bo was working. But tonight, there was an added level of danger. The previous night, the moon had broken apart and now there were creatures seemingly running around. At least she’d brought a couple weapons with her to work, just in case. She had her thigh dagger, though it was simply sitting under the bar along with her sword and the Siracon. They were out of sight of the patrons, but within easy reach if things got heated here.
Bo sighed softly after serving up a couple drinks. She was very tempted to drink herself, but she was working. It was best to wait until she got home to drink. She then heard a roar, and it sounded like it was close by. She frowned a bit, ready to grab her weapons if it was coming this way.
Something came crashing through one of the windows. Logan slammed into the bar, cracking it in two as a creature followed through the door. It resembled a bear, but very large, black like night with white, boney armor. Red eyes peered at Bo, and it roared again. Before Logan had a chance to get back up, the beast had descended on him, chomping down on his arm.
Bo ducked behind the bar for cover when something crashed through one of the windows. However, she came up with her sword in hand. “Holy shit,” she said as she stared back at the bear-like creature. However, as the thing chomped on Logan’s arm, Bo sprung into action. She leapt up on the bar, then leapt at the thing, swinging her sword and slicing into its shoulder.
This thing was very unnerving to look at, which was saying something when she’d stared down some really creepy shit in her dreams. But this thing needed to stop chomping on Logan. And she was trying to put her own feelings aside to deal with fighting it.
Bo’s attack didn’t really seem to phase it and it flung Logan’s heavy form at Bo. He managed to twist in the air and miss her, and picked himself up. His arm had lost most of the muscle and flesh below the elbow, metal glistening with blood and the inner workings of his claws visible. “That’s gonna take hours to heal up,” He groused. “Maybe even days.”
She braced herself to get hit by Logan, not having enough time to dodge, but he’d twisted himself out of the way. When he got back up, she saw the state of his arm. “Holy shit,” she said simply, a feeling of wanting to throw up washing over her, but she held it together.
Looking back at the thing, it was clear that her attack hadn’t done much of anything to it. “How the fuck are we supposed to take this thing out?” A little despair was creeping into the internal storm of emotions she had going on.
“Keep stabbing it until it stops moving.” Logan grit his teeth through the pain. Despite the metal, his bones were still bones. They still had nerves and blood vessels running through them, it still hurt like a bitch.
“Think you can circle around it while it tries to snack on me?”
This was going to be a difficult fight. Bo thought it was similar to fighting the Garuda, which she’d only managed with all of her friends being linked to her through her blood to boost her power. Though it could also have some similarities to the undead army that was pouring out of that portal that she and her friends had to fight.
“Yeah, I can.” Bo started to move around it. She took a deep breath and gripped the hilt of her sword tighter before she lunged forward, swiping at the Grimm with her sword. If worse came to worse, she was going to get on this thing’s back and jam the sword down into it. Or she could slide under it and jam the sword upwards into it.
The Ursa shifted at the last moment, resulting in Bo riding its back as it bucked like a satanic bronco. Logan came in low, slashing at its legs, before digging his claws into its side. With Wolverine and Succubus in tow, the Grimm shot through the surviving window and out onto the streets, running at full speed towards a bus full of orphans.
The satanic bucking bronco was somewhat expected. Bo drove the blade of her sword down into it, mostly to try and kill it, but a little to have something to hold onto. She was trying to miss getting impaled on the spikes on its back as it bucked. However, when it charged through the window, Bo got several cuts on her arms, face and neck from the shards of glass. A couple may have even embedded themselves into her skin.
“Oh shit, no,” Bo said as she saw the bus the thing was heading for. “Don’t you dare. Don’t you dare!!” Bo shouted. She pulled the sword out, shifted up its back and jammed the blade down into its neck and pulled hard on it, trying to severe its spine before it got to the bus. “Logan! Go for its neck if you can!!” Bo had lost sight of Logan, and she herself had now moved into a very precarious position. If they managed to kill this thing before it reached the bus, Bo could easily be thrown into the bus at the shift in momentum. She could also end up impaled on one of the thing’s spikes.
As long as this thing went down, she’d take whatever injuries she could suffer.
Collision with the bus seemed inevitable, until the creature twitched and skidded to the right. The sword in its back cut through something sensitive at the same time as Logan’s slit its throat With one last roar, it slammed into the side of a building, and fell still. Almost immediately, it started to dissolve into black smoke. Logan staggered out from what had been under it. “I need a fuckin’ beer.”
The skidding took her a bit by surprise. Bo had been bracing for the bus impact. As such, even while she kept pressure on cutting the blade of her sword through the thing, she may have looked a little like a deer caught in headlights as the building came into view. As such, when the thing slammed into the building, Bo was hurled head first into it. Everything went black the moment of impact.
When the Grimm’s body dissolved, the sword that had been in its neck clattered to the ground. Bo’s body was mixed in with the rubble. There was blood from a gash to her head, and there was evidence of a spinal injury. She was breathing, but only barely.
Beer was not happening. Logan stumbled towards Bo, falling to the ground next to her and digging away debris. “Hey kid, talk to me….”
He could hear the breathing, which was a good sign, but her head was at an awkward angle, which was more alarming than a minor gash.
Thinking quickly, he pressed his thumb into the gash, hoping to wake her up and trigger her powers. Wouldn’t be the first person he’d done this kind of thing to. Wouldn’t be the last most likely.
The thumb pressing into the gash sent pain through her, and Bo did come to after a few moments. She was disoriented and she tried to move, but nothing moved below her neck, and she couldn’t feel anything either. She didn’t even have time to say anything before her eyes turned blue and she looked at Logan. “I need you down here. I can’t sit up.” Later, she’d feel bad for this, but right now healing was the priority. She’d deal with the fallout later.
Leaning down, Logan kissed Bo. It lacked a certain spark or passion at first, mostly due to the circumstances and the fact he was in intense, screaming pain. He’d owe Lara some top shelf, but figured she’d just be glad that Bo was alive. “You don’t gotta hold back,” He grunted. “I can take it.”
When Logan kissed her, Bo’s instincts kicked in immediately. She returned the kiss. And even if she’d tried, she wouldn’t have been able to hold herself back. She took his chi and kept sucking for several moments. She felt it flow into her and she began to heal from her wounds. Once her neck healed enough, she got more intense on the kissing and taking his chi. The gash on her head began to heal, though the blood was still in her hair. The cuts she’d received when the Grimm had gone through the window also healed. Once she could move her arms, she did grab his head. Bo was primal currently, the succubus instincts in control. She wasn’t thinking about anything right now except healing.
It felt amazing, and Logan groaned into it, fighting the urge to let the kiss deepen. It would be far too easy to give in, and Logan was already a very sexual man. Bo unleashed only brought that out quicker and easier. He groaned again, returning the kiss with nearly as much of a primal need.
When he kissed her back like that, it only set off her need even more. Bo hadn’t known how bad her injuries had been, and right now she wasn’t thinking about anything except survival. And sex. Survival and sex tended to go hand-in-hand with her, which was why she and Lara had laid down the rules in that regard before. Because right now? She was close to jumping on Logan. She drew another hit of chi out of him, her eyes glowing an electric blue. She felt her body coming alive from the chi and the healing effects it was having on her.
Her fingers tangled into his hair. She took a breath after the hit, then kissed him again and shifted to move closer to him. Her instincts were in complete control, and her brain wasn’t kicking in to tell her to stop yet.
This was neither the worse nor most public place Logan had ever gotten hot and heavy with a woman. With his head spinning and his instincts in command, he pulled her on top of him, hand sliding under her shirt. Each subsequent hit came with a dose of some pain, which for Logan only really made his need that more urgent.
Bo groaned as he pulled her on top of him and at the hand under her shirt. It sent fire through her, like it was an electric jolt. She practically growled as well, grinding her hips down against him. Her hands went for his pants. The lower half of her body still wasn’t moving as well as it normally did, there was still some nerve damage that needed to heal. She drew another hit of chi from him.
Conveniently, Bo’s phone started to ring, the tone she used for Lara. Logan chose to ignore it, pushing Bo’s hands against his pants with his free hand.
The ringtone didn’t register with her at first, but it started working through the haze until she suddenly snapped out of it. “Shit, sorry, Logan,” she said as she fumbled for her phone. She rolled off of him and answered. “Hello?” She rubbed the back of her neck.
“Bo, are you all right?” Lara sounded winded, but otherwise fine. “There are these swarm of bee-things, I’ve been taking potshots at for an hour. But I just..”
It sounded stupid to her, so she didn’t say it outloud. Like she’d had a feeling, a sixth sense of something wrong.
“Not particularly. A giant bear thing attacked Logan and I at the bar. It took a chunk out of his arm and it sent me head-first into a building. I...think I broke my neck.” Bo took a breath and closed her eyes. “I chi-sucked Logan but I’m not completely healed yet.”
And she waited to hear Lara’s reaction.
“I’m on my way,” Lara answered, not a hint of hesitation in her voice. If it wavered just a little, she pretended it hadn’t. Better than to think about just how close she’d come to losing her wife.
“Thank you,” she responded. It was almost odd how Bo herself wasn’t upset over the near-death experience. Such things had become commonplace for her these days and it rarely phased her. Which probably wasn’t a good thing, but it was what it was. “Are you alright?” She needed to know that Lara hadn’t been hurt by any of these things.
“A few scratches, nothing serious yet.” Lara neglected to mention the nearly being punctured all the way through but Bo didn’t need to know about any close calls. There was the sound of a bow string twanging, then a screech. “I’ve got to go, try to hang on for twenty minutes. Take a few more hits from Logan if you need them.”
For his part, Logan was staring at her with very obvious reactions to the situation, and a resigned expression.
“Be careful, okay? I love you.” Bo hung up and let her hand drop to her side. She took a breath and looked at Logan. That obvious reaction made her eyes turn blue and she felt the urge to jump his bones. However, she knew that would be crossing the line at this point in time. She pinched her eyes shut, trying to calm herself down as much as possible. “Thank you for helping me. And I’m so sorry for leaving you hanging like this. It’s times like these that I hate being a succubus.”
“It ain’t your fault,” Logan assured her, voice thick with repressed desire. He just needed to think of the wrong person naked, that was all. “Better this than watching you die. Worth the blue balls, darlin’, don’t worry about it.”
He flashed her a pained grin. With his powers working over time between her Chi and his arm, he wasn’t sure he’d be conscious much longer. “Besides, ain’t like I can’t get tail when I want it.”
“Thank you, I do appreciate it.” Bo managed a little smile. “If you were fae, I’d think you were an incubus. You have quite the sexual aura about you. And I haven’t tasted chi quite like yours before.” It was hard to pinpoint what Logan’s chi tasted like. It seemed like it was mix between Dyson and Tamsin’s chi with other stuff thrown in.
“Are you alright? That thing did a number on you. And I hope I didn’t take too much chi from you.” Bo had seen enough from her dreams to know when someone was on the verge of passing out, both from chi-sucking and blood loss.
“I think I’ll live,” Logan assured her. He got to his feet when it was safe to, then helped Bo up and half dragged her back towards the bar. This was less successful than he might have hoped and he collapsed about half-way there.
“Maybe I’ll just lay here.”
When Logan collapsed, Bo fell to her knees beside him. “No, come on, it’s not safe out here,” she said, glancing around. It was hard to tell when another one of those things would come out of nowhere. She managed to get back on her feet, but she wasn’t that steady on them and she felt pain, as well as some numbness still, in her legs and back. But she wasn’t going to leave Logan laying out here like this.
“Come on, we gotta get somewhere safer than this.” She bent down, grabbing the upper part of his uninjured arm, and she tried to lift him back to his feet. Even with her supernatural strength, it was still hard given her current state of being. It was probably doing more bad than good to her, but she knew they needed to get off the street.
Luckily for both of them, Lara drove up just then. She kicked her door open and leaned out. “Get in. We’ll get Logan to safety then I’ll take you home.”
There was a stern look in her eyes, hiding the concern, but she knew Bo was going to need more chi than usual and she’d be useless. So it was better to do that at home.
When Lara pulled up, Bo let out a breath of relief. Bo got Logan in the backseat, laying him on it and she got herself into the front seat. She grimaced and pressed her head against the headrest of the seat. The gash on her head had at least healed, though her hair was still matted from the blood that had come from it.
“Let’s go,” she said as she tried to relax a bit, but she was in pain and it wasn’t easy to relax.
Lara just nodded, and floored it.
