Who: Myrcella and Billy When: Recently Where: Myrcella’s beach house What: Catching up with cake Rating/Warnings: Low/None Status: Completed gdoc
Myrcella had baked a cake fresh that morning for her catch up with Billy, she had a free day for once and had decided that she would attempt to get her paperwork in order but since doing that all day would drive her crazy she’d asked her friend over for a good gossip.
She’d given Dragon a warning to be nice, though really the only thing the dog would do was jump up and lick but she knew not everybody was a fan of that. Especially if they were wary of dogs. Myrcella wasn’t sure if Billy liked dogs or not but she figured warning Dragon to behave was never a bad thing.

Billy had also been cooking, bringing over a homemade pizza ready to go in the oven, and quite happy with spending time with his friend. It had been entirely too long, which he attributed to him being absentminded and busy all the time.
Still, here he was, and as he rang the doorbell, he looked forward to seeing her and chatting.
***
Answering the door Myrcella smiled, “Hi Billy, please come on in” she said standing back to let him in before giving him a hug, “How are you?” she asked him.
***
“Hey you! How are you?” He stepped in and hugged her back warmly, then nodded. “I’m doing great! How are you? Surviving the weirdness?”
He had not talked to her in awhile and had whole new tales to tell her about things.
***
“I’m glad to hear it” Myrcella said with a smile, “I’m doing well. Enjoying this rare day off, I’m fully booked right up to the new year. But I can’t complain really. Thankfully the weirdness hasn’t been too bad lately. How about you? Anything exciting?” she asked as she led him to the kitchen to grab drinks so they could take them through to the living room.
*** “Wow. That’s wild, but cool. I’m glad things are going so well for you. You deserve awesome things.” He smiled softly and nodded.
“Well, I had a weird encounter with two other residents and some creepy ghosts this last weird week, so that was lots of funnnnnn.” His tone was a little sarcastic there. The encounter with Xena and Nico had gone far better than it could have.
“And I may be getting an internship for business with L-Corp.” He hoped.
***
“Thanks Billy, that’s very sweet of you” Myrcella said, pouring juice for them both and putting their glasses on a tray with napkins, plates and cake.
“Oh god, I am so glad I’ve not run into any ghosts. I am such a baby when it comes to scary things like that” she admitted before brightening, “Oh congratulations! That’s wonderful, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you but I am sure you will wow them”
***
“Just telling the truth as I see it.” He smiled at her and nodded. “How is Jeremy? “ He knew she and him were together, and he was glad she was happy.
“It was crazy, but I had help from a couple of people. Made some new friends.” He smiled at her. “I imagine you would do better than you think.” he thought she was stronger than she knew.
“Thanks! I’ll be able to see engineering and business done close up.”
***
“He’s good, thanks. Up until recently we’ve had a friend living with us so we’re getting used to it being just the two of us now” Myrcella told him, she missed Irisa but they were keeping up with their weekly movie night so it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.
“New friends are a nice bonus from a not ideal situation” Myrcella said before smiling, “Thank you, it would be nice if I did” She would like to be stronger.
“That’s so exciting for you. You’ll have to tell me all about it, have you been for an interview or is that to come?” she asked.
***
“Good. And I imagine that can be hard.” he nodded. Living with people, then suddenly not doing so, that was hard sometimes. He could see that, and wonder what it would have been like if his parents were still around, and if they had continued to have kids like they wanted to. He shook his head and refocused on her.
“It is nice. Xena and Nico are pretty cool. I wouldn’t have made it without them.” He listened to her and nodded. He believed in her.
“No, so far, I just talked to her. That is all to come.” He flailed his hands a little, smiling and bouncing some, nervously.
“I hope she likes my presentation.”
***
“It is but we’re having weekly movie nights so that’s been pretty fun” Myrcella smiled, and it was nice sometimes knowing that it was just her and Jeremy now. Made it all seem grown up which she guessed it was really.
“Well then I am glad they were around. I would hate for you to get hurt” Myrcella cared a lot for her friends, she had a big heart and didn’t like to see those she loved in pain.
“I am sure she will. And if you’d like a haircut before you present let me know” she added with a grin.
***
“Do I need one?”| He tried to roll his eyes upward to look, worried, now, then back at her,, wide-eyed. Oh man! Was he getting shaggy? Oops!
“I’ve been working on reverse engineering some of the tech that shows up, here from the dreams, and have come up with new stuff. I’m hoping it has potential in the rest of the world, and to really do good.” He nodded.
***
“Oh no, you look fine I just thought it might help you to feel smart when you present” Myrcella hadn’t meant to make him think he looked bad, his hair was perhaps getting to the longer stage but it didn’t look bad at all.
“Oh how incredible. That sounds like a wonderful thing to do. I don’t have any tech in my own dreams but I know a few people who do”
***
“Ohhh!” Billy blinked. “That… makes a lot of sense. You are the smart one.” he nodded to Myrcella, and grinned. “I think that makes sense, and is a good idea.” She definitely knew more about this sort of thing than he did.
“Oh, it’s not my tech from my dreams. It’s the stuff that has arrived from others, like stormtrooper technology from the Imperial invasion.” They had first met during it, and he still remembered the terror of that day.
***
“I know it just helps people feel a little more confident sometimes, if they feel and look smart. It does me anyway but then I am a beautician so it wouldn’t be good if I didn’t try and look my best” Myrcella smiled.
“Oh I see” Myrcella nodded, “That’s wonderful. Such a good idea, might as well make some good come from all the crazy”
***
“That makes sense. I know I can use all the confidence I can get!” he nodded to her. He smiled warmly. “You are pretty cool, and pretty. I don’t think you could ever look bad.” Billy nodded to her.
***
Myrcella blushed but smiled brightly, “Thank you, that is very kind of you but I look just as bad as everybody else in the early hours of the morning” she grinned, “Come on let’s eat in the living room, it’s more cosy in there. Oh and don’t believe my dog when he tries to look like I haven’t fed him in a week, he gets plenty”
***
Billy snerked. “Bah humbug. I disagree.” He waggled a finger at her.
He nodded to her. “Sounds good to me. Lead on, my friend.” He smiled warmly. This day was turning into the best visit ever. He was very glad he had met her, and that they were friends.
