Daenerys Targaryen lived in constant fear and she'd lived there for so long that she didn't even realize she was so scared all of the time. From the foster case system, to an abusive family, to a degrading life to yet another abusive home Dany just really hadn't caught a break in life yet. Even her dreams were horrible. Right when she thought she was getting everything she ever wanted (the husband, the kid) it had all been taken from her. She couldn't even escape her reality in her dreams. It was really starting to get to her. Well, that and the whole attempt on her life thing.
Dany had been laying low for the last couple of weeks. The Illusive Man was out of the picture now and she was certain that it would lead back to her. She probably should have run again, but Viserys wouldn't hear of it. So instead she just stayed at home, but even that got hard on her. Viserys was so moody and erratic she didn't even know what set him off. He would just come home some days, decide she was worthless and hit her. Other days he would come home, decide he wanted her and just take her. At least with her father she could predict it... and she had killed that man.
Tonight was a particularly bad night. Viserys decided to take all of his anger out on her and by the time the neighbors decided to call the police she was already wearing it all over her face. Things had actually calmed down to a quiet sort of anger by the time the police showed up. Dany wasn't sure if that was a good or a bad thing.
