I’ve been hit on a fair share of times
Who: Elphaba and Luthien What: Wifey time Where: Their house When: Early April Rating: Low-ish? Status: Complete when posted
Elphaba had just returned home from dropping the children off with Elsa for the night. She pushed the front door closed behind her and placed her car keys on the hook past the door. “I’m back,” Elphaba called, shedding her jacket and hanging that up too. “The kids are all settled with Elsa and we have the place to ourselves. I even picked up a little bottle of wine for us to enjoy,” she grinned, holding up the bottle of white wine as she turned and moved to the kitchen.
“Lovely.” Luthien came out of the kitchen wearing a thin, elegant night gown and looking like she’d stepped off the canvas of a painting. She took the wine from Elphaba and sweeped her off her feet, giving her wife a sweet kiss of utter delight. She loved her children, and she loved Elphaba. Some time alone was very welcome.
Elphaba giggled as she returned the kiss, cupping Luthien’s cheek as she did. Once Luthien put her back down on her feet, Elphaba sighed contentedly and wrapped her arms her wife’s shoulders. “You look and smell amazing,” she murmured against the skin of her neck.
“Do I?” Luthien laughed, tilting her head back and savoring the warmth of Elphie’s breath. She was in an exceptional mood, and it was only buoyed by Elphaba’s presence. “Dearest, I only look half as amazing as you.”
Elphaba grinned against Luthien’s skin. “Not possible since you look like a Goddess,” she told her wife as they started to sway gently on the spot. “I must be insane to let you out of the house where other people can see you. I don't know how you don't get men and women jumping you everywhere you go,” she murmured, hiding her face in Luthien’s neck.
“I’ve been hit on a fair share of times,” Luthien assured her. Though plenty of people were intimidated by her, plenty more took her height as a challenge. “But I always flash my ring. And if they give me enough time, a picture of you.” She liked to brag.
“Really? You show them pictures of me?” Elphaba pulled back to look at Luthien, wrinkling her nose as she smiled at her wife. With her arms still around Luthien’s shoulders, she gently stroked her wife’s hair.
“I do.” Luthien would reach for her phone, but she didn’t want to separate herself from Elphaba. “I like to brag about my beautiful wife and our beautiful children.”
Her family meant the world to her, more than her own life and career.
Elphaba grinned slowly and gently swept Luthien’s hair back from her face, cupping her cheek gently as she did so. “I love you,” her eyes swept down to her wife’s lips and she leaned forward to press a tender kiss to them.
“I love you too,” Luthien whispered, before the kiss took her breath away. She tangled her fingers in Elphaba’s hair, then pulled her face away. “I must have done something good, to make you love me.”
“I'm going to kiss you now, because you're embarrassing me saying all these sweet things,” Elphaba shook her head and grinned before kissing Luthien more firmly and cupping the back of her head, fingers carding through her wife’s hair.
“Nothing wrong with a little embarrass…” Luthien trailed off as Elphaba kissed her firmly, and grinned against her lips. It was hard not to laugh - the kiss felt good, and emotion surged through her. She thought her life couldn’t get more perfect.
Grinning in response, Elphaba took Luthien’s bottom lip gently between her teeth as she pulled away. “Come on, let’s go enjoy our night alone,” she said suggestively, raising her eyebrows enticingly and backing them towards the bedroom door. She fully anticipated enjoying the whole night alone with her wife.
Elphaba didn’t need to suggest it twice. Luthien willingly let her take the lead.
