"I caught that," she returned. "My parents are rich, too. So I know the type." She shrugged. Dream!Alecto may have been swayed by wealth and power, but outside of them, Alecto felt mostly unmoved. Some people with money understood fun, but some were boring. She guessed you got the annoying 'so what have you been doing with your life' questions from anyone, too. So what did it really matter?
Her nose wrinkled at his description. It was accurate, but she'd always tried to avoid the label. "We all have our dark history." A pause. "Dark present, really, but I'm hoping it won't get too much darker than it already is." She didn't know if she could handle anything else. She'd witnessed her actions with the Death Eaters. It made her worry about Amycus. If he saw the things she saw...She quickly pushed the thought to the back of her mind and took the wine instead. That was better than dark trips down the Thought Express.
"The network. We all seem to have that in common." She paused, shrugging slightly. "That's all I can figure on. My brother's still early in his dreams as far as I know. So I think it really depends on how fast the dreams come." She took a sip of the wine. "But do you really want them to dream?" A pause. "But I guess company is nice."
