Renting a house had been a very good alternative to going to a hotel for a couple of days because as far as Justin and Royston were concerned, it would be easier to evade the media. With a hotel there was always the chance that someone could recognize Royston then the next thing they knew, it would be all over Twitter or Facebook that he was there and they would never get a moment's rest. So instead a quaint little house had been rented for their getaway, which honesty Justin appreciated more.
It had been a few years since Justin had actually celebrated Valentine’s Day, considering he and Billy had been on a break during what would have been their last one together so he was happy to get to celebrate it again. Since he and Royston had only been officially dating for a few months, Justin hadn’t really been sure what to get the older man and in the end he hadn’t actually bought anything, but instead he’d done a sketch of Royston and was planning on giving that to him later on.
Upon arriving at the house, they had unpacked the car then proceeded to settle in, “I think we need some wine. Do you want some wine?” He asked, getting up from the couch where he had been sitting to go into the kitchen to check if there were any glasses.
Royston had wanted to have a nice Valentine’s Day. He couldn’t recall having one before because he’d been careful to avoid it with any of his flings. Being that they were less serious in nature, he didn’t need to give them any sort of idea that it was more than it was, but this was different. Justin was...well, he couldn’t have really explained it. There was something about him that drew him in. Something besides his pretty face. Though, the face didn’t hurt things.
Things with Erik had never been public...until they were and Erik had decided Valentine’s Day didn’t really matter, so he’d decided it didn’t matter either. The house had seemed like the best option if they were going to be out of sight and out of mind when it came to the paparazzi. He’d even rented a car to avoid anyone happening to recognize his. It seemed like the safer bet in the long run.
Royston, himself, had gone through so many options with presents, but art supplies seemed like a safe bet. He did a lot of research on what people said was the best for sketching. He hoped it would be appreciated, even if it seemed like such an easily chosen gift. He thought, perhaps, he had put enough consideration into it that it would be appreciated.
“Wine sounds excellent.” He always preferred a good, robust wine to those he might find to be more similar to horse’s piss than actual wine. Cheap wine was never the way to go, but then again, sometimes the expensive wines were swill as well. It was all a matter of knowing where to find good wine and having had enough to know which ones were good and which were bad.
Justin wasn’t too picky when it came to alcohol, whether it was beer or wine or mixed drinks, but for this occasion he had figured wine was the way to go. Finding glasses, he retrieved the wine and corkscrew that he’d packed and began opening the bottle, “So, what should we do tonight? Is the plan to stay in so that no one recognizes you or are we going to chance it?” He was pretty sure he knew that answer; after all the whole reason they’d rented the house was so they wouldn’t be recognized anywhere more public.
Pouring the wine, he took both glasses back to the living room and handed one to Royston before sitting down again.
Royston studied Justin for a moment. He knew he couldn’t hide forever from the paparazzi, but he liked that he could get the chance to know Justin without the world outside of them questioning them all the time. But he also didn’t want to keep Justin cooped up if he wanted to go somewhere. “Well, I don’t mind staying in and keeping you all to myself. I am a very selfish human being by nature. But if you’d like to go out somewhere, we can.” He wanted to make him happy in the end.
He carefully took the glass, taking a sip. “Thank you.” He studied Justin for a moment before saying. “I’ll probably have to start dinner soon, however, if we’re staying in. Naturally, you’ll be quite seduced by the time the whole thing is over.”
“Do you have something in mind for dinner?” Justin didn’t mind staying in if that’s what Royston wanted, because it wasn’t just that he didn’t want the media to hound them, but he wanted Royston to be able to feel like a normal person. Admittedly, not going out really wasn’t helping in the department, but it was going to take some time to figure out how to balance their lives out with the media in the equation.
Smirking, he took a sip of his wine, he set it on the coffee table before moving to straddle Royston’s lap, careful not to spill the older man’s wine, “Oh? Thoroughly seduced?”
“I have a plan in mind for both scenarios, so yes. I have something in mind for dinner.” He’d had someone stock the fridge before they got there, so he knew he had everything. And his bag had a few things just in case they forgot. But that was mostly spices and things that wouldn’t smell horrible after a ride to the house. He was trying not to go into this with absolutely no plan. It would probably make things difficult.
All of the plans slipped out of his head the moment that Justin straddled his lap, however. At least no wine was spilled. It would have been a shame. He’d probably have forgiven it, though. Carefully, he moved to set the wine down on a table next to the couch that also held a small lamp. “Thoroughly,” he agreed.
“Then, I’m going to go with staying in. At least tonight.” Justin was looking forward to Royston making dinner. Other than his parents, occasionally, Justin hadn’t really had anyone cook dinner for him since Billy. And when he was cooking for himself, Justin never really got too fancy or did too much since it was just him, “We could go out tomorrow night.”
Once he was situated in Royston’s lap, Justin’s hands slid up the older man’s chest until he placed them on the top of the couch behind him, “And how would you go about this seduction?”
Dinner in was settled, which should have prompted him to start getting things ready, but with a very attractive man in his lap, it was hard to convince himself that he should get up at all. Especially when his mind seemed far more content to focus its attention on the fact that Justin’s hands were on his chest.
“Well, I hadn't really gotten past the natural good looks and cooking.” Justin was perfectly distracting at that moment. He shifted in his seat, hands moving up the other man’s legs, coming to rest on his hips. “But I’m sure I could think of something.” His fingers slipped just a fraction under Justin’s shirt, the pads of his thumbs running over the skin above his waistband. “But then maybe I should go focus on cooking instead.”
Justin loved the way Royston’s hands felt on his hips, but more than that, he loved the way his fingers felt on his bare skin and his pulse rose slightly as he felt Royston’s fingers just above his waistband. Biting his bottom lip lightly, Justin leaned in as he shifted slightly in his boyfriend’s lap, “Well, we could always work up an appetite first.” He pressed his lips against the side of Royston’s throat and began kissing a line up towards his jaw.
Royston felt a smirk forming when Justin bit down on his lower lip. “I can’t argue with that,” he replied, hands sliding up a little further under Justin’s shirt. His fingers explored the skin on his stomach and back, trying to memorize the details. He knew enough about Justin at this point to know what to do to get a reaction and he had every intention of using that information. He figured that he had held off long enough that it was safe to give in if Justin was willing and didn't mind a late dinner, because Royston was going to need a little time before he'd want to move again if this went in the direction he meant for it to go.
As Royston’s fingers moved along his skin, he couldn’t suppress the slight shiver that spread down his spine and he grazed his teeth along the older man’s jaw, “The logic is too good to argue,” His own hands slid down from where they had been resting on the back of the couch, one sliding down the back of the neck of his t-shirt while the other moved into his hair as Justin’s mouth finally came into contact with Royston’s. However, he didn’t kiss him just yet. Instead, he nipped at his bottom lip teasingly.
The logic was certainly too good to argue with. Especially logic that wasn’t really logic. Justin was actually very good at seducing. Royston was beginning to find himself over the anticipation part of it, but he didn’t want to push it. At least not too much. He tilted his head a little to press their lips together instead. It wasn’t a lot, but he wasn’t sure what he could get away with.
When it came right down to it, Justin wasn’t so much as trying to seduce Royston as see just how long it would take before the older man made a move. Deciding to help him along a little more, Justin removed the hand near Royston’s neck and reached down to take one of Royston’s, all the while deepening the kiss and brought Royston’s hand down to rest against the bulge in his jeans, groaning a little into his mouth.
Bastion. If he hadn’t already made the decision before, it certainly would have been made for him in that moment. He made a soft noise of approval before pulling back from the kiss. “There’s a bed if you prefer,” he murmured, stealing another quick kiss. “But here’s...fine.” Perhaps a little less room, but that really depended on what Justin wanted and what he was comfortable with.
Justin had hoped that that would be Royston’s reaction and he couldn’t help but grin at him, “I think the question is, can we make it there?” His hips pressed forward against Royston’s hand, blue eyes meeting brown as he waited for his boyfriend’s response.
It was a little difficult to react any other way...even if he had been a lot more cautious with Justin than he had been with almost anyone else. “Not if you keep on like that,” he said after a moment. “But I have reasonable faith in us otherwise.” He moved his hand before gingerly pushing Justin off his lap. It took a moment, but he did stand, shortly followed by him pulling his shirt off and arching an eyebrow. “The faster we get there, the faster I end up naked, so I feel like that might motivate us a little.”
As Royston nudged him off his lap, Justin got to his feet and took a moment to adjust himself as Royston stood in front of him, now shirtless, “I like that sound of that.” He pulled his own shirt over his head and tossed it onto the couch before reaching down to undo Royston’s belt, but instead of going for the button on his jeans next, Justin held onto both ends of the belt and started walking backwards in the direction of the bedroom, gaze still locked on Royston’s.
Royston allowed himself to be pulled back to the room, glad that it didn’t take that long to get there. Once inside, Royston unbuttoned his jeans and undid the zipper. It was up to Justin if he wanted to hold onto the belt or not. He, himself, was quite content to help Justin out of his own pants. Really, he was doing him a great service and it didn't hurt that he'd get to see him a little less fully clothed for once.
Once Royston’s jeans were undone, Justin wasted no time in letting go of his belt and moved his hands to the waistband of his jeans and began pushing them down the older man’s hips, “There are probably tons of people who would be extremely jealous of me right now.” A grin spread across his lips as he continued in his task of removing Royston’s jeans.
Royston chuckled a little at that. “Well, that will happen from time to time.” Sometimes he forgot about the numerous fans that knew his name and far too much else about him. “But it could be said that there are probably more than enough people that are jealous of me right now.” And he couldn’t help but delight in that thought.
Once the rest of their clothes were removed, Royston took a moment to admire Justin’s body. It was worth the wait. Perhaps the wait hadn't really needed to be so long, but it was in the interest of not rushing anyone. Not Justin, not himself. In the end, he just wanted to make sure it was something before it became another in a line of not-really-somethings. He closed the gap between them and kissed Justin.
