Ever since he had declared his feelings for Blair he had wanted to take her away. Winter seemed like the perfect time. Blair had a few weeks off school, Chuck knew what a perfectionist she was when it came to her grades. And Chuck was able to rearrange a few meetings. He was a little wary of putting his trust in his managers, especially at Victrola, but he couldn’t always be there. Not if he planned on running Bass Industries himself one day.
They had taken his private jet to Paris, the most romantic city in the world and Blair deserved it, they were currently staying in one of his hotels there. As for plans? Well he was leaving that to Blair. He woke her up with a kiss pulling her closer to him. “What do you feel like doing today?” he asked placing another kiss on her lips. “We could always just stay in all day.”
When Chuck had brought up going away, Blair was glad that classes were ending for the winter break and that she was able to take some time off from work so they were able to go away. If there was one city in the world that Blair loved more than any other, it was Paris and she was looking forward to going there with Chuck.
A smile spread across her lips as he kissed her and she gazed at him, one hand coming up to run her fingers through his hair, “Have breakfast in bed perhaps?” Ever since Chuck had declared his feelings for her, Blair had been happier than she’d been in awhile and now was no exception.
“I think we can make that work.” As incredible as the sights in Europe were Chuck had seen it many times, as had Blair. This trip was for them. They didn’t need to go to the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre. They weren’t tourists. Although he knew Blair would want to get some macaroons from her favorite bakery. But for now more time it bed it was. “Croissants and fruit?”
“That sounds fantastic.” Of course Chuck would know all of Blair’s favorite things. Blair may have been to Paris a few times already, but she still enjoyed seeing the Eiffel Tower and there was a part of her that wanted a picture of her and Chuck kissing in front of it. “Why don’t you call while I go freshen up.” She kissed Chuck again then untangled herself from him and slipped out of bed and headed towards the bathroom.
Getting Chuck to take a picture in front of the Eiffel Tower wasn’t going to be an easy feat. He rarely did anything touristy. But Blair had her ways. Who knew who would win that game. For right now ordering breakfast it was. Even if that meant Blair left his arms. “So,” Chuck called out to her after he had placed their breakfast order. “Christmas with your dad and Roman?”
Oh Blair would get her picture. She knew that Chuck would do practically anything for her and she knew she could eventually persuade him to take a picture in front of the Eiffel Tower; as touristy as that may have been. “Of course. My mother is actually planning on coming for Christmas as well.” Blair wasn’t exactly holding her breath that Eleanor would actually make it for Christmas, but having her mother there would certainly be a perk.
Having brushed her teeth and washed her face as well as brushed her hair, Blair finally emerged from the bathroom and slid back into bed beside Chuck, “What about New Year’s Eve? Is there going to be a party at Victrola?” If so then Blair would have to go out and buy a new dress while they were in Paris.
Chuck didn’t mind Eleanor. Or any of Blair’s family. She had family that cared about her, it was nice, refreshing. All he had was his asshole uncle. And when his father was alive it was clear that he just thought of Chuck as his mother’s killer.
“Of course,” Chuck replied with his usual smirk. “But we don’t have to attend at least not the whole time.” It would be hard to keep Chuck from checking up on his prized club on New Year’s Eve. However he also wouldn’t mind doing something not related to work with Blair. “It would be nice to finally see you dance,” he couldn’t help but add.
Blair quirked a brow at him, “Is that so? Well, maybe I could arrange that.” She leaned forward and pressed a quick kiss to his lips. If she were completely honest, she had been thinking about the time she’d danced at Victrola in the dreams for awhile now and it was something that she couldn’t deny that she’d had fun doing.
Chuck often thought about the time Blair danced at Victrola in the dreams. Of course he was dying to see it for real. “New Year’s Eve then,” Chuck confirmed. If Blair preferred she could do it when the club was closed, but he’d rather have a crowd around. Show off his girlfriend. So New Year’s Eve it was. Unless Blair changed her mind, that’s when he’d give her the other option.
Just then there was a knock on the door. “Must be our breakfast,” Chuck said giving Blair another kiss before getting up, slipping on some boxers and a robe, to let the guy in.
“Good, I’m starving,” Blair couldn’t help but let her eyes linger on Chuck’s body as he got out of bed. It was almost hard to believe, now, that not too long ago Blair had been resisting the feelings she had for Chuck and for what reason? She’d had no good reason to try and resist her feelings except that she hadn’t been sure Chuck would return them.
Chuck retrieved their food bringing it back for Blair. He set the tray on the bed in front of her before climbing back in. “Bon appetit,” he wrapped an arm around her before digging into his food. Yeah, this was the life.
