Who: Anna and Elsa When: Friday, November 18 Where: Arendelle Manor What: Dinner for Anna’s birthday! Rating/Warnings: Low/None Status: Complete!
Anna was super excited when she showed up to the Arendelle house for her birthday dinner with Elsa. She was wearing a new dress with birthday cakes along the hemline of the skirt. It was cutesy, and Anna felt adorable.
She didn’t bother with the bell, just let herself in through the front door. She’d only just been here a few days ago to rip out some of the old, summer plants and transfer winter seedlings into the ground. The garden was amazing, and they were getting a lot of produce for it. Anna was considering taking some of it to a local food bank.
“I’m here!” Anna cried out from the foyer. “Ready to celebrate the anniversary of the day I came into this world!”
Elsa was looking forward to celebrating Anna’s birthday, she’d decorated the dining room with a mixture of actual and icy decorations. She was excited to celebrate with her sister and hoped Anna would like it all.
“And the most important anniversary it is” Elsa said as she moved to greet her sister with a big hug and a bright smile, “You look adorable”
Inside the house was wintery and wonderful. Anna hadn’t noticed when she first opened the door, but she’d stepped into the dining room and had a moment to look around. Anna gave a little gasp as she took all of the decorations in. “Elsa!” She said, and returned the hug a little distractedly. “...this looks amazing! You didn’t have to go to all this trouble for me!”
“Of course I did and it’s no trouble. I would do anything for you” Elsa told her sister honestly, “I want you to have the best birthday ever. Now I’ve got all your favourite foods ready in the kitchen, I’ll bring them through. What do you want to drink?” she asked.
“All my favorite foods?” Anna grinned brightly over at her sister. It warmed her heart that Elsa was willing to go through so much trouble for her. Then again, that’s what Elsa did in her Dreams, too. And Anna would have done just as much for her sister, too. Way more than just as much. “I hope we’re having chocolate cake! Um… milk? Do we have milk?” She asked. “I can help, if you want me to.”
“Well all that I know about. If you have any new favourites you need to tell me” Elsa smiled before nodding, “Sure, you can help me bring everything through if you like? Of course there’s cake and milk, those are basics for a good birthday” In fact she’d had Anna’s name put on the large chocolate cake and it looked incredible.
“Nothing new, no.” Anna followed Elsa into the kitchen, and rolled up her sleeves so she could wash her hands at the sink. “My tastes in foods haven’t changed in the last five or six years.” Which wasn’t really that surprising--Anna’s tastes in foods had always been rather mature. Except for her fixation on chocolate. She’d eat just about anything, and loved almost everything. So long as she didn’t have to cook it herself. “What would you like me to carry?”
Elsa smiled, she was beyond thankful that she and her sister had become close after being separated thanks to school and things. But that was all behind them now and they’d regained the good bond they’d had when they’d been younger before Elsa had been sent off to boarding school. “There are some plates full of food in the fridge and I’ll bring through the cake” that was also in the fridge but in a box so Anna wouldn’t see it just yet.
Anna nodded. She found the plates easily, and moved over to take them into the dining room and put them on the table. It looked like quite the spread, and Anna was super excited to party with her sister. She pulled out her phone and started playing the Beatles from the little speakers, sneaking a snack or two off the first plate. “This is a lot of food, Elsa! I hope we can get through it all.”
“Well I thought you could take some home with you, I’m sure you have others who would appreciate it” Elsa told her sister as she brought through the cake and set it on the table before taking off the lid so Anna could see, “Happy Birthday!”
“I’m sure Stefan and Lexi would love to have some with me.” Anna gasped at the sight of the cake. “Wow! Thank you! Oh my gosh, this is so perfect! I love you. I have the best sister ever!” She turned and wrapped her arms around Elsa in a tight hug.
Elsa smiled brightly as she hugged Anna back, “You’re welcome I’m so glad you like it. I love you too Anna, you are the best sister I could ever ask for”
