Jill's eyes went wide at the mention of pain play. She may be inexperienced, but the name was pretty evocative, and she definitely didn't think she was into that kind of thing. And even if she were, that wouldn't be something she wanted to share with Rose.
"Noooo," she said, shaking her head. "We're just going to cute and uneventful and no one's going to get assassinated, right?"
She smiled brightly at Rose, silently seeking her approval. Her allusion to assassination went both ways: Alak didn't seem to be a threat to her, and as such, hopefully Rose wouldn't have a reason to want him done away with as well. Jill just wanted to date a cute boy without crazy complications. It sounded like, despite their crazy families, she might be able to do so with this one.
