The bass of the music thumped through Minato's body, and he couldn't help but smile. It'd been a long time since he'd been to a club. It'd been a hot minute since the last time Minato had been out dancing, but tonight, he thought, it was a good night to let go and have a little bit of fun. He'd hit Anna up to see if she wanted to go with him. The young woman deserved some fun before school started, and well, Minato was trying to be a good friend.
He grabbed a couple test tube shots from a waitress as he passed her by on his way back from the bathroom, and tossed some money onto her tray. He made his way back to the table close to the dance floor where Anna was and offered her a bright smile. "Here you go." He handed off one of the shots, and then raised his in salute. "To good friends, and a fun night, yeah?" He tossed the shot back, wincing at the burn of the alcohol as it made its way down his throat.
“Thanks!” Anna accepted the tiny glass with a bright smile on her face, then nodded. “To good friends and a fun night!” She agreed, and gulped from the glass. It was too much for one sip, so she had to go at it three times to empty the glass. Then she winced and coughed. Anna was a complete lightweight. One shot would have her warm and fuzzy. Two and she might get crazy. Three might see her throwing up. So, no more than two. She could drink girly drinks, though, like wine coolers A couple of those would do her fine. That’s what she drank most of the time at home.
“Oh man!” She practically had to yell so he could hear her over the thumping music of the club. But it felt good. It made her body vibrate in a great way. And as the alcohol warmed her from the inside out, she felt even better. “This is so much fun!”
"You're welcome!" Minato shouted above the music, giving her a bright grin. The burn of the alcohol was nice, and it wasn't enough to get him drunk but it was a good feeling. He probably wouldn't have much else to drink after another shot, only because he wasn't there to get drunk, he was there to dance and have a good time with Anna.
He leaned down close to hear what she said, and he gave a nod. "Right? This is a good club." He looked out at the dance floor, watching the people there for a few moments before holding his hand out to her. "Want to hit the dancefloor?"
“Yeah, absolutely!” Anna set the shot glass aside. (Also, “shot” glass? That must’ve been more than a shot! Either that or Anna’s mouth was really small. (No crude jokes, please.)) She slipped her hand into his. “Lead the way!”
Anna might not have been the best dancer in the world, but everything she did she did with optimism and enthusiasm. So when they reached the dance floor, she let the music move her, regardless as to what other people might think. It occurred to her that Minato was a professional, so she opened her eyes to watch him, hoping she might pick up a move or two from the way he danced.
Her hand was warm in his, and Minato was all smiles as he led her to the dancefloor. His feet started moving the moment they hit the dancefloor, moving quickly in an almost two step while his free hand came up and pumped in the air a few times. Less was always more when in the club, although he knew that he could probably show up most any of the other club goers unless they too were professional dancers.
He watched Anna with a smile. While she might not have thought she was much of a dancer, Minato believed that she had natural rhythm to her body. He moved his upper body while he danced, hand slipping from hers as he danced a few steps back away from her. Minato rolled his body, moving quickly back to her before some other guy got the idea he was backing off. He placed his hands on her hips, "Didn't you tell me you weren't a good dancer?" He was close to her again, his lips brushing over the shell of her ear but it was only so she could hear him.
The music was loud. Anna could feel it vibrating in her chest the moment she stepped on the dance floor, and couldn’t help but move her body to the beat. There were people everywhere and it was hot. Hotter than she’d anticipated. Maybe that was the shot running its way through her, though. Anyway, she bopped and bounced, letting her body move as it wanted to. Minato was incredible. The way his body moved made Anna grin. Then he came back over and put his hands on her hips so they could move together. She turned her face a little, her eyes twinkling, and her nose bumped into his cheek. “I know, I know, I totally lied,” she teased.
Clubs, at one point and time, had been a second home to Minato. There were still times that he went out to forget the bullshit that was life and have a little fun dancing with random people. Minato, however, found it more fun to go with people that he knew and cared about. Laughing, Minato gave a small shake of his head, still moving with her and to the beat of the music. "You did. Although I'm not disappointed that you lied to me about it." He turned his head, giving her a wink.
Anna laughed at the wink, going rather pink. At least the lights were dim enough that he probably couldn’t see it. It felt good to laugh, good to move to the music, good to feel free for a moment. The alcohol was sinking in, and she lifted her arms and spun around. Her skirt billowed out, making her feel like a real dancer, then she got dizzy and fell against Minato’s chest, laughing. “Sorry,” she said, grinning up at him. She pushed herself back up onto her feet, a little unsteady. But the best kind of unsteady. “Maybe we should get another drink!”
Minato danced with her, not noticing the blush since he was focusing on moving with her to the beat of the music. He laughed as she spun around, and then reached up to catch her as she landed against him. "You're alright." He kept a hand on her, "Sure, I'm okay with that." He thought that maybe they should stop after that, but one more shouldn't be too bad. With a hand on the small of her back, he gave a nod toward one of the bars. "Just one more. I think that'll be enough right?"
“That’ll be plenty!” Anna called out above the music to him. She had one hand wrapped around his, and turned to drag him off the dance floor, back over toward the bar. “Then you can take me home and put me to bed.” Because she was gonna be drunk.
Minato laughed, "I thought so." He replied back, loud enough to be heard over the music himself. He followed her toward the bar, "Of course, I wouldn't think of letting you go back there by yourself." Not that she didn't have roommates, but Minato would worry if he left her to go home in an Uber by herself. He ordered them both a shot, and then once they arrived he picked one up to hold it out to her. "Here you go." He clinked his glass against hers, giving her a wink before he tossed his back.
As if she was reading his mind, she replied, “Of course! That’s why I said put me to bed not put me in a cab.” Stefan could have taken care of her if she arrived home in an Uber, but she knew that would never be the case. Minato was a gentleman. He’d take care of her, should it come to that.
Anna was really having a blast tonight. She felt safe with Minato, and happy, and blowing off steam before the start of the new quarter was a good thing, right? She’d have to focus on her studies for the next few months, so it was good to get this out of the way. She accepted the glass, clinked it against his, then tried to knock it all back in one go. Only her mouth wasn’t really big enough. So she took a big, burning gulp, then coughed and sputtered a moment before swallowing back the rest. A ‘blaaargh’ kind of sound erupted from her and she shook her head, smacking the taste from her lips and tongue. “Wooop!” She cried out, happily, as she turned watery eyes and a bright grin up to her handsome friend.
Laughing, Minato gave a small tip of his head in her direction. "Fair enough." He too was starting to feel the effects of the alcohol coursing through his veins. He didn't drink as much as he had when he was fully involved with the scene, and so that meant his tolerance had lessened over the years. He wasn't complaining though, he was having a good time with Anna.
He laughed once more as she tossed hers back, and the sound that she made. "Yeah, I think it's time to go." They'd been at it for a bit, it was getting late and they were both pretty drunk at this point. Pulling his phone out, he got them an Uber on the way since he didn't believe that he could teleport them safely back to her place, and it was likely that she had her keys on her so it wouldn't have worked anyway. "The Uber should be here soon." They should have plenty of time to make their way to the door, and out onto the sidewalk since the driver was close by.
Minato placed a gentle hand on her back, leading her out toward the sidewalk. They didn't have to wait too long until the car pulled up to the sidewalk. Minato opened the door for Anna, and then followed behind her. "Did you have a good time?" He asked, lolling his head to the side to look over at her.
The hand on the small of her back was stabilizing to Anna, which was a very good thing. She was stumbling a little, the alcohol seeping out to every inch of her being. It felt warm and deep and thick and heavy. Not puking drunk, but heavy, tired, and satisfied. Anna climbed into the cab and sat a little closer than she might have if she was a little more sober. She turned to look up into her friend’s eyes, and found comfort there. “I did. The best time.” Smiling, Anna lifted a hand up to trail a fingertip along his hairline. “Did you?”
The warmth of Anna's body against Minato's was nice, welcome even as they sat in the back of the car. He offered her a smile, "Good, I'm glad." He truly was glad she had a good time. It was always nice to let loose, and have a little fun even if he might regret drinking in the morning. Oh well, Minato would worry about it then. The brush of her fingertips caused him to sigh, "I have a wonderful time out with you this evening. We'll have to do it again sometime soon." He gave a small nod, thinking that it would be fun to hang out with her again like this.
Anna leaned in a little closer, her eyes only half-lidded, and pressed her lips against the corner of his own. She felt warm, safe, tired, and wanted to show Minato how much she appreciated this. How much she appreciated him. That last shot was taking her even further down the rabbit hole, lowering her inhibitions, warming her from the inside out. She pressed closer, debating for a moment the merits of crawling up into his lap, and deciding that might not be the best idea. But kissing… she wanted to kiss him. Badly. She wanted him to kiss her back, too.
Her lips pressing against the side of his mouth caught him a little off guard despite their close proximity. Minato could feel the warmth of her breath upon his skin, and without much more thought he tilted his head, bringing a hand up to cup her face and pressed his lips against hers. Minato thought for a moment that this was a bad idea, he shouldn't be kissing Anna, but at the same time he'd wanted to since the first night that they met. His tongue slipped past his parted lips to slide against hers. Minato let out a sound of contentment at the taste of her, still thinking somewhere in the back of his mind that this wasn't a good idea but at this point he honestly didn't care.
It was probably not a good idea. It was actually a really bad idea. But it felt good, and that’s all that Anna could think about in her alcohol addled brain. A little whimper slipped through Anna’s nose as her lips parted to the kiss. Her tongue slid along his, her body moved even closer, and she sighed contentedly. Sure, one or both of them might find this to be a little weird in the morning, but for now? It was a moderate length Uber ride back to… wherever they were going. Anna’s house? Minato’s place? Did it really matter? Hopefully she wouldn’t be asleep by the time they got there.
His lips kept moving against hers despite how much of a bad idea he was still currently thinking it was. It was nice, however, for the moment to just lose himself in it. That wasn't hard to do, not with the softness of her lips against his, the little sounds that she made, and the warmth of her body made him tilt his head slightly in an effort to deepen the kiss.
Time was lost as Anna kissed Minato in the back of the Uber. Her lips and tongue tangled with his, one hand wandering over his chest, shoulder, then up the back of his neck into his hair. She was trying her best to keep things decent, though a part of her wanted so much more than lips and over-clothes touches.
The car came to a stop. How long had it been? Minutes? An hour? Anna finally pulled her mouth away from his, just in time to see the Uber driver turning around and staring at them expectantly. Anna licked her lips and cleared her throat.
He kissed her back, meeting her with every stroke, although his hands were not as bold as hers. Minato moved the hand that had been cupping her face down to rest upon her waist, fingers gripping the fabric of her shirt tightly or else he might've pushed his boundaries.
As she pulled away, Minato licked his lips and then laughed at the look from the Uber driver. "Thank you." He gave a nod to the man, and then opened the car door. Sliding out, he held out his hand to Anna in order to help her out. He'd get her in her own bed, and then get himself back home. He was pretty certain that he could teleport just himself, but he hadn't felt comfortable trying to teleport them both. "After you." He gave her a smile, and shut the door to the car.
Anna put her hand into his and let Minato help her out of the car. She leaned heavily against him, her head lolling onto his shoulder. “You’re the best,” she said, lumbering up the driveway toward the front door of her house. The porch light was on, and there was movement in the window. Probably Stefan or Lexi, but Anna didn’t care. She wanted to go straight to bed.
Getting keys out would be a major hassle for the drunk redhead. Thankfully, the front door was unlocked, so she pushed it open and stumbled inside. “My bedroom’s this way,” she said, though Minato had been over. He knew where her room was, right?
"Well thank you." Minato replied with a smile over in her direction, holding onto her as they walked up the driveway. He too saw the movement behind the curtain, although he wasn't that concerned. It was one of her roommates, he'd only met Stefan so he couldn't say much about Lexi but from what he'd seen of her on the network she appeared to be nice enough.
"Alright," he replied with a nod, and yes, he did know where it was. He'd never been in her room, but he'd been over enough times to know where it was at. He pushed her bedroom door open, carefully helping to lower her down onto the bed.
Anna was in the master bedroom in her house. She had it decorated in the typical style of a teenage girl; lots of pictures and posters. Mostly boy bands. And there were some clothes on the floor, but it was pretty neat aside from that. She had a sliding glass door that looked out onto the porch in the back, and her own bedroom with a huge bathtub.
Anna moved straight to the bed--it was a Queen--and kicked off her shoes before collapsing onto it. She took hold of Minato’s hand and squeezed it. “Thank you. For tonight.”
He smiled at the sight of her room, it seemed very fitting for her considering. He helped her down onto the bed, giving her hand a gentle squeeze back in response. "You're welcome." Leaning down he pressed a soft kiss to her forehead, and then leaned back. "I'm going to go home. I'll see you later, alright?" Minato knew better than to stay the night or to even think about it. Instead, he dropped her hand, making sure that she was covered up before he made the seals with his hands quickly and focused on teleporting home.
He stood there in his living room for a few moments after, and let out a long sigh. "You're an idiot." He muttered to himself, and then he headed to the kitchen to grab himself a water so he hopefully wouldn't end up with a headache in the morning.
