She laughed as he turned his gaze on her. He was almost fierce in his examination of her and she couldn't help the bubble of laughter that built up within her as she met his eyes directly. "Oh no," she waved a finger at him from the hand holding her glass. "*I* only noticed him because *you* kept watching him," she informed him. "Otherwise, he would probably have dropped off my radar after I noticed his shoulder. You were the one who made him an issue," she informed him with a smile. "Your diversionary tactics need some more work by the way, not subtle enough," she advised. "I'm Elizabeth Weir, and you?" She held her hand out to him, almost expecting him not to take it given what she had observed about him already. He seemed brusque to the point of rude but she felt he still had some gentlemanly qualities in him. She hoped she was right.
