The sex was amazing though
Who: Bethany and Garrett What: Depression, advice, hugs. Bethy goes to Garrett after Robb left. When: A few weeks ago, I've just been lazy in posting. xD Where: Garrett's apartment Status: complete Rating: PG
Bethany was depressed. It was an odd sort of depression laced with elation, but mostly the depression. Her heart hurt.
Garrett was enjoying wearing his new armor around his apartment. It just felt right, somehow.
Knocking on his door, Bethany leaned on her staff.Maybe he'd have some advice. At the very least she probably needed to stop him from murdering Robb. It wasn't Robb's fault, really.
She liked to tell herself that.
Garrett made his way down the stairs and looked out the peephole to see who was knocking. He wasn't sure how people who didn't know him would react to seeing him in a suit of very spikey armor. But it turned out to be Bethany, so that was okay.
He opened the door and smiled, only to have that smile fade once he got a good look at her expression. "Come on up and have a seat," he said.
"You certainly look spikey," She said, taking him in. It suited him, even if he wasn't in her dreams. "I'll forgot the hug!" She placed her staff against the wall, and took a seat.
"What's up?" he asked.
"Robb had to leave," she said, pulling her legs up and wrapping her arms around them. "So we broke up."
Garrett scowled. That didn't sit well with him. Not at all. "...do you know where he went?"
"Across the country. Hockey training." She flopped over on her side. Everything was still kind of sore on a way. A good kind of sore, if there was one, "I don't know how I ...feel."
Garrett started unbuckling his gauntlets and upper body armor. His little sister needed a hug, and he was too damned spikey with the armor on.
"The sex was amazing though," She said, giving him a teasing smile.
"...don't you start giving me details, too," he said. "Marian's bad enough, but you're my baby sister."
"I'm not a baby any more!" But she lacked force, too depressed to really push it and not really in the mood to taunt him all that much., "The details are private."
And he wasn't Isabela, who could have gotten it out of her.
"Well, that's a relief. That I don't have to know the details, I mean." He managed to get his armor off, then the padding underneath. He rubbed a hand over his shirt, then wrapped his arms around Bethany. "For your sake, I'm sorry he left."
Bethany grinned at him, then wrapped her arms around him. She couldn't help it - she let out a little sniffle, "I find this...fantastic guy..." He kind of reminded her of father, and that wasn't really all that wierd, if she didn't think about it.
Garrett kissed the top of her head and stroked her hair. "You'll find someone better, someday," he said. "Someone who won't leave."
"I hope so." She snuggled into this chest, kissing it lightly. She wished he was Robb. She could still remember how Robb had smelt. How he'd felt and tasted. It was something she probably wouldn't get to experience again. At least not with him, "I can't help thinking Isabela would know the right thing to say."
She smiled softly, "I had the hugest crush on her..."
"I was half afraid of that," he said with a chuckle.
"You don't approve?"
"I wouldn't say that," Garrett said. "I was just...still not used to the idea of you being a grown woman. And I don't know that she was the one-person type, really."
Bethany fell silent. Garrett was right, Isabela would never settle down, not even for her kitten, "That..other me. the one you knew...What happened to her? Did she ever fall for anyone? Did she become a warden?"
Garrett sighed. "I honestly don't know. Most of the dreams I've had, you're there. You've only not been in one of them. Carver..." He frowned slightly. "Carver hasn't been in any of them."
"He...the ogre..." Bethany felt her throat close up.
"Ogre?" Garrett frowned. "Damn it..."
She nodded her head, "When we fled Lothering."
"Damn." He rubbed his face. He hadn't always gotten along with Carver, but he couldn't imagine losing him.
"I think.. Marian lost me."
Garrett frowned. "She's not in my dreams, either."
Bethany dug her nails into Garret’s chest, “You’re in none of mine. Like you don’t even exist and Marian is different. She’s not a mage, there. She’s fast and agile, and uses knives, like Isabela.”
“Ow.” He glanced down at Bethany’s hands. “That makes everything about three times as strange, then.”
She patted his chest in apology, "I don't know. I talked to Varric once. He wouldn't say if he dreamed about me or Carver. He was rather..squirrely about it. Now. I’m thirsty. Lets get a drink.”
