Who: Peeta and Caroline What: Anniversary! Where: Their apartment When: Today Rating: Fairly low, Caroline pole dances Status: Complete
It was hard to believe that a year ago she had met Peeta for the first time. It seemed like no time at all had passed but then it also felt like they had been together forever. It was an odd combination. But she wanted to do something nice for her boyfriend. Something to celebrate the beginning of their relationship. She had it all planned out. She borrowed a portable pole from Midna setting it up in their spare room.
When Peeta arrived home from work she was dressed in short shorts and a lacey bra, a coat wrapped around her so it wouldn’t ruin the surprise. “Hey babe,” she said greeting him with a kiss.
After work Peeta had grabbed the desserts he made for them and set off to pick up a couple things. He returned to the apartment with some flowers and some presents for Caroline. He grinned when she greeted him and then raised an eyebrow at her attire. It wasn’t cold enough around here for wearing a coat indoors, but he would get to that in a moment. He looped an arm around her waist, pulling her in for a kiss, and smiled when he pulled away and held the flowers out to her, “Hey. Happy Anniversary, beautiful.”
“Happy Anniversary,” Caroline beamed accepting the flowers from Peeta. “I can’t believe it’s been a year since you almost spilled a drink on me,” she teased walking into the kitchen to put the flowers into water. Once that was taken care of she turned her attention back to her boyfriend. “I might have a surprise for you,” she grinned wrapping her arms around his neck for another kiss.
“At least I didn’t spill the drink and managed to get a night in bed with you instead,” Peeta pointed out with a smile and went to follow her into the kitchen, “It’s been a great year with you. And I hope you have a surprise because you’re wearing a coat and it’s weird.” A playful smile was on his lips as he returned the kiss and pressed her against the kitchen counter. This was going to be a lovely night for the two of them.
“What can I say? I’m a sucker for guys who almost spill drinks,” she teased. “You know, I’m beginning to wonder if you did that on purpose.” Well maybe she had always wondered but she had never asked him about it before. It didn’t really matter though, they were where they were meant to be now.
“What?” she mumbled against this lips. “I always wear a coat around the house,” more teasing before pressing her lips against his again, her hands slowly moving down his body. At this rate they might not even get to her surprise.
“I wasn’t blinded by your beauty until after we bumped into each other,” Peeta pointed out with a laugh, “But it was probably fate putting us together. I’m glad it was you that I bumped into that night. I haven’t been this happy in a long time.” He was glad that him and Alyssa hadn’t worked out because now he truly knew what a relationship was supposed to be like. It had been a time of growing and soul searching and he knew that he was supposed to be with Caroline.
“No you don’t,” he murmured back with a soft groan as her hands began to wander. His moved to grab her wrists and he fixed her with a look, “You going to tell me what you’re up to or do I have to investigate myself?”
“It was one hell of a one night stand.” Which it never really was. That had been the plan for that night but it had turned into so much more and Caroline was perfectly happy with that.
“No investigating,” Caroline responded breaking free of his grasp. “How about I show you instead?” she added this time grabbing his hand and leading him to the spare bedroom where the pole was set up.
“What can I say? I’m irresistable,” Peeta countered before letting out a laugh when she escaped her grasp and started to lead him towards the bedroom. He was not going to say no to being shown anything especially since he had an idea of what was underneath that coat, “I’m definitely more about showing than just exploring.”
“Well,” Caroline said once they were in the room. “I figured it was about time I showed you what I’ve been working on with Midna,” she said as she slowly took off her coat to reveal the lingerie. Caroline was by no means an expert, but she had mastered a few moves. Not to mention she had the vampire strength and reflexes thing going for her.
Well. There was a stripper pole in the middle of their bedroom. Peeta stopped and blinked a few times as she tried to take that in. Then Caroline removed that coat and revealed what she was wearing underneath and his mind was easily distracted, “Wow. This is what you’ve been working on? I’m impressed. I’m looking forward to this.”
“Sit down,” she instructed her boyfriend handing him the coat before walking over to the pole. She walked around the pole a few times, her arm holding onto it before she pulled herself on, doing a few moves for her boyfriend. She stated with a chopper spin, her body rotating around the pole in an upside down V, then moved on to a basic inversion, sliding down the pole upside down. She finished with a butterfly, dismounting from the pole in a backward split.
When she told him to sit he obeyed quickly with a smile as he sat down and tossed the coat off to the side of the room. Wow, this was not what he expected at all, but Caroline had learned some amazing moves. The way she was able to hold her body up like that, Peeta was mesmerized, but when she finished he couldn’t help but giving her a round of applause, “That was amazing! Are we keeping the pole around for a while?”
She had a feeling her boyfriend would enjoy his surprise. It was about time she showed off her lessons too. “Thank you,” she said and bowed playfully before climbing onto his lap. “We can,” she said wrapping her arms around him. “If you want to.”
“Maybe. It would raise a lot of questions if anyone happens to look into our room,” Peeta commented with a laugh as he wrapped his arms around her and leaned in to kiss her neck, “You were so incredibly sexy up there though. I’m am crazy impressed with what you did. Is that all with your lessons with Midna?”
“Why is anyone but us coming in here?” Sure they had people over but that was what the guest room was for. “So are you saying I’m not sexy all the time?” she teased because well she could. “But yes, you should thank her next time you see her,” she murmured lips moving to his ear. She gently kissed below his earlobe before pulling back. “Okay, now where’s my present?”
“Sometimes people come over and want a tour?” Peeta tried to offer helpfully as an explanation before chuckling at how bad of an answer it was,” And that is not what I’m saying at all. You know I think you’re constantly sexy, so shut it. And you made me leave it on the kitchen counter. You might want to go grab it.” It was a simple boxed wrapped up in gift wrap, so it would be easy to spot along with the card he had purchased for her.
Caroline just laughed and shook her head at Peeta’s response. No one ever came over and wanted a tour. Maybe when they first moved in but that was awhile ago. Now was not the time for arguing though. Not when presents were happening. She jumped up off his lap and sped into the kitchen, returning to open it in front of her boyfriend.
“I hope you like it,” Peeta commented when Caroline made her way back over and he looped his arms around her waist once again. It was quite nice to be this close together and he still couldn’t believe how lucky he was to have her in his life. When she opened up the velvet box inside laid a lovely diamond necklace. He had been tempted to get her a ring, but knew that wouldn’t go over well, so the next piece was to give her some kind of jewelry. The card was a cheesy one, but very sentimental. He kept his chin on her shoulder as he watched her open it.
Caroline ripped the paper off the box, opening it up to see the necklace. She almost gasped when she saw it. “It’s beautiful,” she commented lifting it up out of the box. “Help me put it on?” She asked turning around and brushing her hair aside so Peeta could clasp it around her neck. Lingerie and diamond necklace. Whatever, it was their anniversary. Besides soon enough she’d be wearing only the necklace. Like she was in the Titanic, only Peeta would not be drawing her.
“Of course,” Peeta agreed breezily as he reached up to put the necklace on her before smiling at how it looked against her skin, “It looks beautiful on you, do you like it?” His hands gently ran along her curves as he held her a bit tighter. She had completely stolen his heart and he was so happy to be celebrating this anniversary with her and couldn’t wait for the ones in the future.
“I love it,” and she love him. But that was obvious. She hooked her fingers into the collar of his shirt, stepping backward toward their bed until she collapsed on it pulling him on top of her. “Now, let’s really celebrate our anniversary.”
