The Dreams could just go to hell. That’s what they could do. Kate didn’t want to Dream about being caught up in Clint’s mess of a love life, but she didn’t have much of a choice. The Dreams were going to come and go as they pleased. It was a part of her life that she had no control over, and she was starting to come to grips with that. The last couple of Dreams had been a bit irritating, so she went to the gym to run it off. She’d just come off the treadmill, and walked toward the lockers. Kate was wiping her face with a towel when she bumped into someone.

“Oh, sorry. I’m sorry.” She said, feeling like a dolt for not watching where she was going.

Sitting around and being idle was not something that Itachi was used to, and even though he was blind it did not mean that he couldn't go out and do things for himself. His brother had offered to go with him to the gym, and Itachi couldn't pass up the offer to get out and do something. Prior to the dream incident Itachi did go to the gym on the regular, although it wasn't an every day affair for him.

He'd just finished with some weight lifting, and was on his way to the water fountain when he bumped into someone. He reached out to steady her with a hand, "You're fine. No need to apologize."

Oh, Jesus, she’d bumped into a blind guy? That was like, the worst karma. Kate frowned a bit, taking ahold of his arm as he steadied her. Then she quickly let go. “Uh… well, I mean it. I wasn’t exactly paying attention to where I was going, so… dude, totally sorry.” She wondered for a moment if she should offer to take him somewhere or something, but if he was in a gym, he was probably pretty self-reliant. She ended up with, “are you all right?”

Itachi let go as well once she did, and he offered her a small smile. "It's fine. Really." He gave a small nod, and then took in a deep breath. Maybe it would be better for him if he just stayed at home at this point. Itachi thought that might be in his best interest until he really got the hang of walking around blind, or you know, he watched where he was going with the use of his other senses. "I'm fine, really. Are you alright?"

At least the dude had a nice smile. Kate felt a little relieved, and relaxed at the sight of it. “I’m okay.” It felt a little strange to be standing here with some dude she didn’t know, but for some reason she hadn’t quite pulled herself away yet. She was curious, and felt a little… protective. “I haven’t seen you around. Are you new to the gym?”

Giving a nod, Itachi let out a sigh of relief. He was just happy that he hadn't hurt her, or anything like that. Itachi was a gentle soul, here and in the dreams too apparently, even if he was considered a villain by many. Itachi nodded again, "Yes, this is the first time I've been to this particular gym. My brother thought it might be nice for the two of us to get out of the house for a bit. He said he was going to do some leg work." That was in the direction that Itachi had came from, and he was sure that his brother would come collect him if he was gone for very long. "Have you been coming here for awhile?"

“Yeah,” Kate tried for a moment to think about how long she’d been coming to the gym, but gave up. “Months? I’ll go with months. I got a membership here when I was sort of between jobs and lacking money… a friend helped me out. A family plan thing. And I’ve been totally addicted, coming back ever since. I’m here three or four times every week.” She tried to alternate cardio days and weight training days, upper body days and lower body days, but some days all she wanted to do was run on the treadmill with loud techno pumping through her earbuds and straight onto her eardrums. “I really like it here.”

With a light chuckle, Itachi gave a small nod of his head. It sounded fair enough to him. There were times where he couldn't remember the duration of how long he'd done something, even though he tried his best to, so he couldn't fault her for that one little bit. "That's good. It's good to have a place where you feel comfortable, and that you enjoy." He could see why she enjoyed it here. The staff had been helpful to him and his brother during their time there, and they were happy to try and accommodate him if he needed anything. "The staff do seem really friendly here, at least, they've been nice to me since we arrived earlier."

“That’s one of the reasons I started coming to this place. There’s a guy who works here that--” Kate stopped herself. She didn’t really know this guy from Adam, and she almost started talking about the weird, random dreams that she had--dreams that she shared with a handful of strangers online, a couple of friends, and her boyfriend. She was about to sound like Mrs. Crazypants one step out of the asylum.

“He’s been really great and helpful. He gave me a guest pass when I first started.” Kate shrugged. “And it’s pretty cool to be able to use the treadmill or take a yoga class. Y’know, whatever I feel like that day.”

One of Itachi's brows rose slightly as she paused in talking, but he didn't question it. Instead he listened to Kate as she continued speaking. "That's good." He replied with a small nod, "And yes, convenience does help, especially if you're wanting to switch things up in regards to your workout." He knew how important it was to switch up ones workout routine especially if one was serious about it.

"I believe that I'll be back here in the future." Itachi had appreciated the fact that they'd been accommodating to his needs, and had wanted to help him instead of staring at him as if he were a freak show.

“Hey, then I’ll definitely see you around.” Kate gave him a smile, then realized that a) he couldn’t see the smile, and b) she probably shouldn’t have said I’ll see you around to a blind guy. She winced. “I mean, next time you’re here, maybe we can chat again.”

With a chuckle, Itachi held up a hand. "It's fine." He was still trying to adjust to this whole thing as well, and Itachi did not take offense to much of anything really. "Absolutely, I'll catch you next time." With a small nod of his head in her direction, he turned and started back to where his brother was. This hadn't been as bad as he'd been expecting it to be, and he was grateful that he'd given it a chance.
