Who: Alucard and Irisa When: July Where: His home What: Training Rating/Warnings: Low/None Status: Complete
Alucard was waiting for Irisa to arrive for her training session, it was their first one since the demon invasion and he was steeling himself for a number of questions after he’d appeared in his dog form and she’d shot him. It had been somewhat amusing to see her face when he’d transformed and told her off. But then they had been busy shooting demons and ghouls and there hadn’t been time for much else.
Irisa’s mind was boggling with questions, but strangely the one that kept bothering her was that he had followed her. Why had he followed her? Didn't he trust her? Didn't he believe she could handle herself? Hadn't she proved herself? Sighing to herself, she shook her head and rang the bell of the great house, waiting to be permitted entry.
Alucard moved to the door and opened it, “Good morning Irisa” he said smoothly as he stepped back from the door, “Come on in, you know where to go” he gestured down towards the basement where their training room was.
“Morning,” Irisa greeted, marching into the house and heading down to the training room without really waiting for him. Throwing her bag down at the side of the room, she started strapping up her hands with tape from her bag.
“Okay, so what exactly has you all riled up?” he asked her as she started getting right down to business. She wasn’t exactly chatty but she usually spoke a little more than this and he could just tell things were bubbling under the surface.
Irisa paused briefly in her wrapping and sighed, her shoulders dropping. “You were watching me. While I was out fighting the demons,” she told him and turned to look at him. “Don’t you trust me? That I can take care of myself in a fight?” she asked quietly. She wasn’t looking for a fight with him, but for some reason it hurt that he might not think she were capable enough to go it alone.
Alucard couldn’t help chuckling, “It has nothing to do with not trusting you. Do you think I don’t watch Integra as well? And we both know how well she can look after herself. I watch those I care about” he said with a shrug. It was actually a sign of affection though he wouldn’t say that, Integra had realised it. Obviously Irisa hadn’t just yet.
Irisa turned back to her bag to consider his answer. She carried on wrapping her hands with her back to him. “How did Integra react when she found out you were following her?”
“She wasn’t happy at first but she is used to it now. I think she finds it somewhat comforting to know I am around” Alucard said, it had taken a while and of course he’d been doing it for much longer than he’d admitted initially.
“Hmm,” Irisa replied, still slightly annoyed, but also touched by his concern that he would come and check on her. “Did she suggest that you start wearing a bell?” she asked snarkily, tossing a teasing grin over her shoulder at him.
“Actually she did” he smirked, “Not that it would help of course. If I do not wish to be known then I won't be, even before I got my abilities that was the case” He'd have been a terrible agent otherwise.
“Tricksy vampire,” Irisa muttered to herself, finishing off tying the wrap on her hands. “I wonder if putting a GPS tracking chip under your skin would work,” she turned and put her hands on her hips as she looked at him with a wry smile.
Alucard laughed, “I doubt it since I can change my skin” he said, rippling his body to prove his point.
“Yeah, and about that, why the hell do you need so many eyes as a dog? Are you blind or something?” Irisa asked as she stepped up to the training mat.
“All the better to see you with my dear” he deadpanned before stepping forward to join her, “Now, let us begin and we can talk more once you’re too tired to carry on”
“Challenge accepted,” Irisa grinned, dropping into a fighting stance.
