He should have realized what he was getting himself into when he jokingly told Nina about the post he’d seen on Valar about Naked Gardening Day. Somehow, between that conversation and now, Gabe had committed himself to participating, in all his God-given glory.

Only he couldn’t get himself to step out past the back door to his house. His stance was timid, which made for a funny juxtaposition with his rippling muscles as he stood there with nothing but a kitchen towel in front of his genitals, glancing anxiously about. “You sure about this?” he said to his girlfriend, who he knew was enjoying every moment of this. He’d made sure to set up temporary blinds so his neighbors couldn’t get a look at his goods. White tarps were tied to vertical poles so that his neighbor to the right and anyone from the street couldn’t see anything. He knew the right side neighbor had a ranch house so the coverage was sufficient, and there was such a thick stand of trees and other shrubbery at the back fence that he knew his other neighbors (who thankfully were out as far as he knew) couldn’t see anything anyway.

But still. Damn this was awkward.

Naked Gardening Day, in Nina’s mind, had been made entirely for her boyfriend. It was the perfect day for him, and her since she’d get to see his incredible body out in the garden in natural light. What could be better? She was, after all, fully aware that he was gorgeous and she was batting way above her average.

Smiling as he timidly made his way outside she nodded, “I am positive about this” she told him, “Nobody but me can see, I promise. Now let me see” she winked and crooked her finger at him.

He gave her a smirk and handed over the dish towel, doing his best not to imitate a soccer player and refrained from cupping his hands in front of him.

“So….I guess I...garden now?” he had no idea how this worked. Stupid internet and its random trivia sans actual explanations. Gabe headed over to where he’d left off his work last, which was against the house getting rid of some weeds by hand. He’d never been a fan of using chemicals. An area of the pebble filled area (as Cali dictated it was best in these drought conditions to have native desert plants) had been cleared of the stones so he could get at the bare earth with his hands. Kneeling down on the sun warmed kneeling pad - oh man it felt odd having his junk out doing this - he pushed his fingers into the earth to get at the roots of one of the stubborn plants. He had a feeling Nina would end up snapping a few pictures before the day was over.

Nina gave him a wolf whistle when she caught the tea towel and was very open in her appreciative gaze.

It was like Gabe could read her mind as she pulled out her phone to take a few snaps of him working in all his glorious splendor. Soon she moved closer, letting her fingers trail over his back, “You know this could become my favourite day” she told him with a grin pressing a kiss to his skin.

Gabe had managed to push aside the awkward feeling of gardening in the nude and started to focus on the task at hand and the sensation of full on warmth of the sun on all his skin. It felt...pretty good actually. He could hear the soft electric click of the smartphone camera as Nina went to town catching him at all angles. He chuckled softly to himself and kept going, yanking at weeds, tossing them aside, fixing the earth, getting his hands good and dirty.

“Well I think you've got enough pictures there to make a calendar,” he teased. “Keep you going till next year.” He liked the feel of her hands and lips on his sun warmed skin and straightened up to lean up and give her a kiss. Then he quickly reached up with an earth covered hand and smudged a finger of dirt across her cheek playfully.

“Keep that up and you're gonna end up with more wood than just the trees,” he gave a Groot grin and turned to sit back onto the mat, hands in the grass behind him. Merlin had been kind enough to help him out with a little magic to keep his lawn a bit more lush and green than normal for the conditions. Gabe was tired of the brittle, water starved look the lawns here had. “This could be July.” He teased, gesturing at himself.

It was good to see him relax into it, Nina had hoped he would. She didn’t want him to force himself to do it for her benefit and not enjoy it. But when he chuckled at hearing her picture taking she knew it was fine.

“That’s the plan, my own personal naked Gabe calendar” Nina said, “I’ll never have a bad day again” she told him before giggling and moving back when he got her dirty which turned into a full blown laugh when he gave her the next cheesy line.

“Mmm this could be my screensaver” she winked snapping a pic before leaning down to press her lips to his, his sun kissed skin feeling incredible under her hands.

He laughed. “Just remember not to let anyone borrow your phone or they'll get a shock.” He happily returned the kiss, hand automatically holding her face - only it was creating more smudges on her perfect skin. “Oops, looks like someone's getting dirty.” He teased a few more kisses out of her before murmuring, “Any other poses or positions you want me in? Or do we need the garden hose to cool you down?” He snickered, suddenly remembering the incident that led to their first intimate encounter.

Nina chuckled, “I’ll keep it behind the lock screen” she promised. “Mmm that’s okay, it goes with my dirty thoughts” she told him with a smile. “We could be here all day if I get you in all the positions I want you” then she laughed remembering that too. Shifting around she practically straddled him, “I think we need to heat up a little more before we cool down” she almost purred.

Gabe smirked, brown eyes glinting with mischief. “Mmmm, that sounds all kinds of hot. Tell me what you want.” His lips grazed hers, his voice a low, sultry rumble. A hand playfully gave her rear a spank. “If that's the case I think you might wanna take a little something off yourself.” And his eyes were already doing the job. He shifted a little, feeling the smoldering start of an erection. He bit his lower lip a little and looked up at his girlfriend. “Better hurry with those pics or all of ‘em will be with me and my hard on.” He winked.

“Screw the phone” Nina decided, dropping it onto the ground, “I can see you naked anytime I close my eyes right now I’d rather enjoy the real thing” she told him, leaning in to kiss him as she undid her top and pulled it off, quickly followed by her bra. Once she was free of that she took his hands and placed them on her chest.

Gabe sat up as she stripped and let out a low noise of approval as she took control and placed his earth covered hands on her breasts. Gabe grinned against her skin and murmured into her ear, “Am I getting a lap dance in the middle of my backyard?” He bit at her neck playfully, dirty hands running over her skin, painting her faintly with the color of the earth in soft lines and smudges. He pulled back a little to look at his handiwork and chuckled. “Mmmm my dirty girl.” Already he was getting hard between all the new stimulation of doing this outdoors and in the grass, and Nina’s gentle grinding. Looking up at her he realized how even more beautiful she appeared under natural light, especially her golden blonde hair. “Something like that” Nina said pressing kisses to his skin as he touched her. It felt good to be with him like this outside, safe in the knowledge that they wouldn’t be seen. Feeling the breeze on bare skin was a nice change. “Trying to get me out of my pants” she teased before using her arms on his shoulders to lift herself up enough for him to tug her trousers and underwear over her arse and down her legs.

“Always,” he teased back, his big hands eagerly pushing down the fabric. His bare feet pushed the rest past her ankles and off onto the grass. He paused a moment to grin, that Groot grin he knew she loved so much, as he looked her over. “God damn you’re sexy in the sun. Nina did really love that grin, it never failed to make her smile, it made her feel safe and it was pure Gabe. “I think so too because you look absolutely gorgeous” Nina told him kissing him again before he lay her down and drove her crazy with his lips. “Bloody amazing” Nina finished on a breathless laugh, lazing against him happily. She loved these moments, when they just snuggled happy together after such an amazing high. “I love you” she said, pressing a kiss to his lips with a smile.

“I love you more,” he kissed her back, grinning. Running a hand slowly up and down her back he could feel the grit of the dirt from where he’d steadied himself. He chuckled and sighed. “You are going to need a serious shower, missy. Maybe I should just use the hose? I can set it on shower.” He actually liked that idea, the more he thought about it. He imagined her standing there in the sunlight, the white canvas backdrop, and a shimmering rainbow of droplets as he washed her down. “Hmm…” He kept cuddling though for the moment, because the sound of the breeze was soothing, and the feel of skin against skin in the open was something he knew he could never get enough of.

“Oh I don’t think you do” Nina grinned, “It’s not possible” she told him stroking his side. “Oh yeah? Showering me naked in the garden? Gonna make me flower like one of your plants?” she asked him before laughing and burying her head in his chest and keeping him close.

Gabe laughed as he watched her hide her face against his bare chest. It never ceased to charm him how adorably silly she could be sometimes. “Hey, it is Naked Gardening Day. Goes with the theme, right?” He nuzzled her fuzzy golden head, scenting grass in it. “Mmm. Besides, one can never get enough honey.” He teased, going along with her metaphor. He gently undulated his hips against hers for emphasis. He nuzzled and planted gentle kisses along her brow as they lazed in sun. “C’mon gorgeous, I'll let you wash me down first if you want.” Reluctantly he disentangled himself and knelt, offering her his hand. “Don't wanna fall asleep in the sun and have that beautiful British skin burning. Next time we'll do it under the tree.” He snickered.

Oh Nina could be very silly and Gabe saw it more than most, at work she tended to be kind and friendly but still professional. Unless she was working in the kids ward anyway, then she played more to cheer them up. “Nicely played” she complimented him after the honey comment, they could both be so ridiculous sometimes. “Fine, but only because you’re so hot” she said taking his hand with a smile, “Yeah, I never have been someone who tans, but then growing up in the UK you don’t get much practice. Shade is definitely the way to go for future outdoor pursuits” she grinned pressing a kiss to his lips before retrieving the hose.
Gabe chuckled and kissed her back. “We could even try this at night.” And he wiggled his eyebrows cheekily. Following her to where the hose was, he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, nibbling at her shoulder before murmuring teasingly into her ear, “You remember how to work that, right?”

Night could be fun, Nina liked the night - when there was no full moon involved anyway. Grinning Nina said, “I think so” before turning it on and pointing the hose behind herself at his side, “Yep I think I got it” she laughed.

Gabe let out a shout of surprise and jumped back at the sudden sensation of cool water hitting his hip and he laughed along with her. He put his arms out so she could get him. “Alright, bring it.” He grinned, challenging her.

Nina grinned, “I love you” she said before soaking him completely with the hose.
