Who: Kitty and Rogue What: Kitty decides to move in with her friend When: 6/10 where: Rogue's place Status: complete Rating: PG-13
Rogue had invited Kitty over to check the house out and see if she wanted to just catch up or something. Of course unbeknownst to everyone, Rogue had been losing the battle of the minds with the voices in her head. Oh, she held out pretty well most of the time, but she’d used up so much control not killing Logan, a few had slipped in through the walls and surprise, they were now exerting a little control.
Which meant Rogue wasn’t covered head to toe in clothes - she was in shorts and a spaghetti strap tank top sitting out back under the persimmon trees she’d planted after Gin left. A beer settled on the table next to her.
“...are you okay?” It was the second thing out of Kitty’s mouth after a little staring and the initial greeting. The last time she’d seen Rogue show that much skin had been in her dreams, when Rogue had gone through kind of a rebellious fuck it all phase or something. She didn’t know the details only that Rogue had started wearing a lot of cut off shorts.
In hindsight Kitty should have realized how gay she was for all the staring she’d done.
Rogue blinked at her friend and cocked her head sideways. “Yeah, why?” she asked as she looked up, took a drink of her beer, and smiled. “You alright?” she asked brow arched lightly, head inclining as she set the drink back down.
Kitty swallowed, opening her own beer and taking a long guzzle of it. “You’re just...you’re not covered up. I mean that’s not a bad thing or anything but you’ve been so lacking in confidence. Or something.”
Rogue shrugged a bit as she shook her head. “Didn't Feel like it today” , was all she said before stretching lazily. “You look cute today" she said after another drink.
She nearly fumbled her drink. “Thanks?” Rogue was kind of acting like a very sultry cat and Kitty didn’t know what to think. “That’s good. I mean you shouldn’t feel like you have to cover up, unless you want to.”
She lifted a brow. “Don't waste your beer" she said after a moment then smiled. “No, there's really no reason for it. I've got better control after all”
“That’s good. That’s good. Control. I mean.” Kitty sipped her beer. “Your house is pretty nice. Pretty huge, actually. Must get lonely.”
Rogue pushed to her feet, stretched and yeah kitty got a show of skin before she laughed. “Hammock, hot tub, pool, persimmon trees, my wet dream of a kitchen, and way too many rooms" a sad smile.. it wasn't so bad for awhile there”
Kitty frowned, then put her beer down and came over, wrapping her arms around Rogue in a hug. “Okay you had me at hot tub.”
Rogue stiffened for a moment, then relaxed into the hug, a heavy sigh then a smile. “It's a nice place, Lina and I added a bunch of stuff, but yeah it's a little empty”
“Room enough for a little dragon.” Kitty rested her head on Rogue’s shoulder. She didn’t know where to put her hands so kept them on Rogue’s back. This was almost as bad as the shredded clothing+robe incident.
She leaned on Kitty and sighed. “Yes room enough for a little dragon.” She sighed and drummed her fingers on the back of Kitty's neck and sighed again.
Rogue was pretty damn close to discovering Kitty had a thing for hair play. She sighed heavily. “Lockheed would love the hot tub more than anyone else I know.”
She idly ran her fingers through her friend's hair and gave her a look. “Then come on, it's lonely here”
“That feels nice,” Kitty said, ignoring the question itself. She hadn’t gotten to cuddle or hold or be held in awhile and it felt nice. It was just Rogue, after all.
She leaned on her friend and smiled. “Oh yeah?” she grinned a bit, fingers moving to play a bit more.
“Shit,” Kitty whispered. “You found my only weakness.” It was a struggle to not nuzzle at Rogue’s hand in her hair. One she was losing.
“Only one?” She murmured in reply, fingers curling through Kitty's hair, her control on a tight leash, so she could have some fun.
“Only the one,” Kitty said stubbornly. Oh, she had other weaknesses, but she wasn’t sure where this was going. Even if they were going to just stand here and hug each other? She wasn’t going to complain.
Rogues eyes glittered as she stretched against her and smiled. “Shame that”
“I can’t reveal all of my secrets,” Kitty pointed out. She disentangled herself from the hug. Because she suddenly needed water.
Rogue shrugged a little and settled back down in her chair, watching kitty. “Fair enough my dear”
Kitty retrieved water from Rogue’s fridge, and knocked back half the bottle. “I think..I do kinda want to move in.” Her eyes dropped to Rogue’s chest and then she steadfastly looked away.
She looked up at her friend then nodded. “That would be awesome, Kitty. I'd enjoy having you here. If you need to pay to break your lease I've got you covered”
“That won’t be a problem.” Kitty smiled, then swallowed and came over to Rogue. She boldly slipped into her lap.
She wrapped her arms around her. “Oh hello.” She grinned.
“Hello,” she replied, grinning back. “If I didn’t know any better I’d say you’ve been kind of flirting with me.”
“Me? Naaaaaah.” she teased. “Justa little bit yea.” she laughed. “Gotta problem there?”
“Just a little confused,” Kitty admitted. But she didn’t really mind.
