Abigail and Open
Abigail had managed to find a swimsuit with a very high neckline; the first new piece of clothing she'd bought in a long time. It covered the scar on her neck well. She wore a simple sundress over it and sandals, not wanting to stand out more than she felt like she already did. She'd never been to a private beach before and she wasn't as excited to have finals over. There was a part of her that would miss the distraction from the dreams that they provided. Still, she knew she needed to be more social in person, especially with other students, instead of simply chatting with people online.
Abigail stood near the edge of the beach and watched the other party goers. She gave a few warm smiles to people who looked at her, hoping she'd work up the courage to talk to someone. Or that someone would talk to her.
