"Nice eh? Well suppose it's not to bad for being a dive bar." With a grin Jackie shook his head and chuckle again, wondering if she'd say the same thing after actually taking a look around downstairs. Still the prospect of getting up from the couch just didn't really sound too appealing at the moment. If anything he just wanted to chill right there with her and try put the long ass day behind him.
Tired or not he knew she was there for a reason. Hell he had invited her over for that same reason as well. In truth Jack knew it was a mix between not wanting to be alone, and hoping to find a way to drown out those dreams that plagued him. Oh a bit of alcohol, a bit of weed, and a lovely distraction like sharing the be with someone else had worked for him so far. Yet he hoped it would do the trick for her too.
When she spoke again and he spotted her shrug a look of amusement crossed his features. The show itself was dated and corny, but he always ended up laughing so hard when Jack watched the show while good and baked. Still there were other fun ways to pass the time too. So after finishing his slice of pizza off, and downing his beer, Jackie gazed over at her and nodded to himself just a little...before he gently reached over and pulled her over to straddle his lap. With his hands resting lightly on Octavia's hips, thumbs brushing softly across her flesh just above the hem of her jeans, Jackie held her gaze as he quietly spoke up.
"If television isn't your bag I'm sure we can find something else to help relax you."
