Who: Magius and Luisa What: Meeting out to talk about the wedding plans Where: An ice cream shoppe When: Tuesday, March 8th Status: Complete Rating: Low
Magius was enjoying this endeavor. Not getting married, though that was an exciting thing, too. But, the idea of meeting out and about to talk about their marriage. In addition to helping them avoid temptation, which they were terrible at when alone, it helped them to actually focus, and get some time in out and about. And Magius had to admit, he liked doing things with Luisa, whether he had before or not, and he loved just being with her.
Somehow, he had met a woman who seemed to capture his mind and heart endlessly. And to fill him with as much love as lust, and vice versa, and, well, who returned both in equal measure. He had been married before, but while he would never say anything bad about his previous wife, she had not been… well, nearly as amorous as Luisa. It made Magius feel less like a lecherous fool, and more like simply a man with a healthy sex life, especially when shared with the woman he loved.
Stepping into the ice cream shoppe, his coat over one arm, Magius glanced around to see if Luisa had beat him there. He had been held up for just a few moments by staff needing a consult on a recent case. He had still gotten out mostly on time, but not with as much leeway as he liked.
Luisa was enjoying these dates too, they were a very amorous couple and she loved that about them but it was fun just hanging out too. Being able to focus on their wedding plans was good and of course when they went home they could then celebrate a day of decisions made.
They never spoke about Magius’ previous marriage and Luisa was fine with that, she was just happy that she got to have him now and that they shared such a giving healthy friendship on top of everything else.
Luisa noticed him as soon as he walked in and waved at him from where she was stood perusing the flavour board, “Hey” she said, “I got here a little early to try and help me make a decision faster” she grinned reaching up to give him a kiss, “How’s your day been?”
Magius smiled as he kissed her, and stroked a hand along her cheek. He breathed out with the touch and kiss, feeling tension melt away. How was he so lucky again? He smiled, almost goofily, and nodded. “Hey.” He shrugged. “Alright, definitely quieter right now than it has been in some time. I’m actually being able to get caught up on paperwork.” He chuckled. There was always paperwork.
“Any idea what you want?” He had his eyes on some strawberry cheesecake ice cream, and maybe sprinkles. It felt like a sprinkled sort of day.
She loved that look on his face and knew she had her own infatuated look a lot too. They couldn’t help it they were just in love. “I’m glad things are settling down” she said before grinning, “Ah the dreaded paperwork”
She glanced at the list again, “I think mint chocolate chip is calling to me. You?” she asked linking her arm with his.
“Peanut butter bliss, today. I’m feeling a little decadent.” He waggled his eyebrows at her, then grinned as he stepped forward and ordered, then paid, for them. Once that was done, he snuggled her close as they waited.
“What’s on our plans for planning today. I have notes in my case bag, but I can’t remember what is on them right now.” Magus carried various bags of holding, slowly crafted here at much expense, in his pockets. One of them was where he put paperwork solely, and he called it his case bag since it often had information on cases he was working on in it.
Luisa laughed, “Decadence is a welcome treat” she said, snuggling close as they stood to the side for their ice cream to be prepared.
“Uh I have confirmation from Audrey about the catering but she had a list we need to complete and I have replies from some of the venues we contacted” she said, luckily as well as these times they also had email which allowed them to exchange lists. Luisa did most of the calling as she had more time to do so than Magius did.
Magius stroked her back and nodded, listening, then snapped his fingers. “I’ve been looking into who to have perform, and not sure yet. Do you have a preference?” He nabbed their orders from the counter as they were finished.
Then he glanced around for a seat.
“Not really. As long as people can dance for a little while and it’s not too loud I’m happy” she told him, she trusted Magius’ judgement. He knew what she liked and what she didn’t.
She spotted a table and rested her hand on his arm while indicating it with the other.
He chuckled. “I meant… though that is a good point. I meant who to perform the ceremony.” Magius grinned while he walked with her to the table.
“I care not, save to not wish a normal minister to perform the duties.”
“Oh!” Luisa said with a laugh, “Sorry, I see what you mean” She hadn’t really thought of that part, “A celebrant? I mean from what I’ve read practically anybody could be ordained”
Magius nodded. “Yes, that.” He chuckled and nibbled his ice cream, then poked her nose with his spoon. “Which makes it all the harder to figure out who to ask, or who to get to do it.” He chuckled again. “So far, everything else seems easier, but for the organization of it. “
He smiled to her. “Thank you for so willingly taking on so much. You are amazing, my love, and I am lucky to have you.”
“Mmm someone caring who knows us well would be best, if they wouldn’t mind” Luisa said, though exactly who remained the question. “Once we start making the bigger decisions the smaller ones should become easier”
She grinned as she wiped her nose, “You know I don’t mind, it makes more sense as I have more free time than my wonderful doctor fiance”
“I think so, yes. And yeah.” Magius grinned at her. “Maybe, but your work is hard too, so I do appreciate you spending more time doing this.” He stroked a hand along her side, and pure pleasure flowed to her, almost but not quite orgasmic level. “And I intend on rewarding your hard work…” He winked at her.
“Okay. Do we have an idea which of the venues we want to approach and view or tour, of those who responded?”
Luisa closed her eyes for a moment and bit her lips, sometimes he was evil but in such a way that she loved it. “You always do darling” she told him linking their hands together.
“I rather liked the look of this hotel” she said, pulling out the folder with responses to show him, “It has lovely wedding facilities”
Magius peered at the design of the place, and nodded, grinning. After a few minutes of reading and looking, he looked up. “I think it’s a good choice. Unless you want to wait, we should go ahead and try for a date and book it.” He grinned almost shyly.
“I like the idea of having a date and place set down when you will be my wife.”
“I don’t want to wait at all, if you think this could be the place too then I’ll contact them” Luisa said happily, squeezing his hand, “So we’ll try for September 3rd?” they’d chosen a date before but obviously hadn’t had a venue in mind, “Or the weekend after if they’re booked?”
She smiled, “I like the idea too. And then we can get everything else confirmed”
“Do it. That sounds like a plan.” Magius bent to kiss her and grinned. “With a date and place fully confirmed, we can get the caterer that information, set a time for both wedding and after party, and then everything else, yes.” He bounced. “I love you.”
“I love you too” she grinned in reply after kissing him. “Things are coming together nicely and we get these nice little dates out of it too. We should keep them up” she added, because it was nice being out and about together like this. Discussing their days and things, not that they didn’t at home but they were both terribly easily distracted.
Magius snuggled her close as they sipped drinks and he thought. “I like it. I like making plans and meeting with you. Even if the urge to do something wicked to you is tempting, it is less so out.” He chuckled. “I’ve never been completely sold on exhibitionism.”
He kissed her once more and nodded. “I like the idea of these dates. And of being with you, wherever and whenever I can. Perhaps next time you can choose the place?”
Luisa snuggled up to him her head resting on his shoulder, “Me too. And I quite like the added anticipation for when we get home” she told him with a cheeky grin, “I have to agree, exhibitionism isn’t my thing either”
She returned the kiss and nodded, “Next time I will pick” she agreed, nuzzling her nose with his.
Magius grinned and kissed her once more, then sighed. Some days were better than others, but every day he spent with Luisa just reminded him, more and more, that he was a lucky man. He grinned as he settled back, eating his ice cream and thinking of the upcoming wedding, and hoping that the week to come would be just as good.
