Where: Snowy hills
What: Snowboarding
Rating/Warnings: Low/None

Myrcella was ridiculously excited about her and Jeremy’s Valentine's Day plans, they were up in the hills all kitted out and ready to try snowboarding. She was smiling brightly even though her nose was going red with the chill in the air. She loved it and she told Jeremy so, “Thank you, this was such a good idea. I hope I can stand up on the board” she chuckled. She’d done skiing before but not snowboarding which was why it was so exciting.
Jeremy had gone skiing and snowboarding with his family a lot over the years so he knew a few different places they could go and he had chosen his favorite one. After securing a room, he’d called a nearby florist to make sure that there would be roses in the room when they arrived then went and got the perfect card and chocolates for Myrcella. Sometimes when he was buying gifts for Myrcella it was still a little strange when he thought about the fact that he’d had a girlfriend for as long as he had considering how short lived all of his relationships had been in the dreams. After all, Vicki and Anna had actually died. So far he was doing good with his second attempt at a relationship with Bonnie, but he still worried that he’d dream about her dying as well. He didn’t want to have to go through that again.
The drive up to the resort wasn’t bad since they had left early to try and avoid most of the Valentine’s Day/President’s Day weekend traffic and had made pretty good time. After checking in, they had decided to hit the slopes and have some fun.
“I’m sure you’ll be fine.” Jeremy said as they waited in line for the lift. “If you fall just slide down on your butt. I guarantee you’ll get the hang of it before we go home.” Being up there was a little bittersweet, just as being at the cabin had been, but Jeremy was glad to be able to share this with Myrcella.
“Alright, if I fall I’ll just go with it” she said leaning up to press a kiss to his lips, “Just don’t leave me too far behind hotshot” she grinned at him as they moved towards where the boards and instructor were waiting. She was determined to have fun no matter what.
Jeremy smiled and kissed Myrcella back as they reached the instructor. He had his own boots and board, so he didn’t need to rent either. “And if you fall, I’m sure it’ll be cute and graceful.” He smirked as the instructor began helping Myrcella pick out a pair of boots and a board that would fit her.
“I’d like to think so. If it isn’t don’t tell me” she winked before turning to listen to the instructor as he offered her advice and soon she was all kitted out and ready to begin having a go.
“I’ll make sure to get it on video. That way, everyone can see it.” Jeremy teased. It didn’t take too long for the instructor to go over everything with Myrcella and once her lesson was finished they headed towards the top of the hill, “Ready?” He asked, glancing over at her before he placed his goggles over his eyes and made sure that his helmet was secure.
Myrcella had stuck her tongue out at him when he’d said that. “I think so” she said, feeling more sure of herself now, it had helped that she had skied before so she was confident on the snow already. “Let’s go” she said smiling.
Smiling back at her, Jeremy shimmied so that his board was facing down the hill then used his body movements to push off, moving his legs and body this way and that to propel himself down hill. He hadn’t done this in so long, but it was one of those things you didn’t forget. If he’d been able to, he would have looked back to see how Myrcella was fairing, but if he did that then he’d definitely fall.
It wasn’t until he slid to a stop at the bottom that he turned to see where his girlfriend was and whether or not she’d fallen on her butt on the way down.
Myrcella followed not long after Jeremy and while she wasn’t fast she managed not to fall, a little wobble towards the end but she kept her balance and managed to slide to a fairly decent stop near him thought she did reach out to grab his arm.
“That was fun, it takes a little while to get used to the board but it’s not too bad” she smiled, “If I hadn’t skied before that would have been a lot harder”
Jeremy smiled when he saw Myrcella reach the bottom of the slope and reached out for her when she reached towards him, “You looked like a natural.” He would have kissed her, but with their goggles on, it would be a little difficult at the moment, “Wanna go again?”
“I definitely want to go again. I have to make sure it wasn’t a fluke right?” she grinned happily, “This was the best idea ever” she told him so glad she had a boyfriend as wonderful as Jeremy.
“I’m glad you’re having fun.” Jeremy stepped out of the back lock of his board so he would be able to love to the conveyer belt that would take them up to the top of the hill. Since Myrcella was still learning, they wouldn’t take the lifts up to the bigger mountain. “After a few more runs we can go in and get some hot chocolate.”
Myrcella did the same and nodded, “You know the way to my heart” she teased, “I have to admit I'm looking forward to a fire later, it's cold out here” which made sense with the snow but she hadn't been expecting the wind.
“Remind me before we head to the room to get firewood.” The room Jeremy had reserved at the resort had a nice fireplace and having grown up in a house with a fireplace, Jeremy had known how to build a fire for awhile and was looking forward to sitting in front of one tonight with Myrcella.
As they reached the top again, Jeremy waited till it was their turn and clipped his boot back onto the board then pulled his goggles down over his eyes again, “See you at the bottom.”
“Will do” she promised, she was very much looking forward to the actual fireplace. There wasn’t much better than a real fire on a cold evening except maybe snuggling up in front of one with the love of her life.
“See you there” she nodded clipping her own boot back in before following him down. She did well again until the very end when she stopped herself a little too forcefully and fell forward with an ‘Ooof’.
Jeremy reached the bottom and once again turned around to wait for Myrcella to catch up. When he saw her, he was just moving towards her when she fell forward. Stepping out of his board, he knelt down beside her, “You okay?” He asked, smirking a little as he checked her over to make sure that she was alright.
Myrcella rolled over in the snow and burst out laughing, she wasn’t one to take herself too seriously, “So graceful right?” she grinned at him, her cheeks red as she sat up.
“Hard to believe that you’re a princess in your dreams.” Jeremy laughed along with her and pulled her goggles up onto the front of her helmet so that he could look into her eyes, “I mean, aren’t princesses supposed to be graceful and poised?”
“Not a princess here, you’re stuck with just me I’m afraid” Myrcella told him as she held her hand out so he could help her up, “And there was no snow in Kings Landing so even in my dreams I wouldn’t have been any better I reckon”
Jeremy helped her to her feet, “Don’t worry, before we leave you’ll be a pro. And I totally don’t mind being stuck with you.” He glanced up the hill for a moment then towards the lodge, “Wanna get some hot chocolate? We can come back out after that for a little while then go back and change for dinner?”
As much as Myrcella wanted to be more hardcore and stay out the lure of hot chocolate was pretty intense. “That sounds like a plan. Maybe a chocolate boost is what I need to stay on my feet” she grinned picking up the board and linking her other arm with Jeremy.
