With some thought he managed to dig up the breathing techniques they taught him when he started getting panic attacks after his brother's death, and after several moments of deep breaths, he managed to get himself under some semblance of control. Well, at least, not panicking anymore. Chalking that up as a victory. There were still tears running down his face but he could deal with those later.
Finally able to look up at the girl, he managed a slight smile. "Yes, I'd appreciate a ride, I...I don't even know where I am." He huffed out an annoyed sigh at himself and pushed himself to his feet, wincing at the burn of a scrape where he'd dragged his shoulder down the wall. "Thank you."
