Nasir flinched away from the new voice, whimpering - he didn't recognize it but he wasn't convinced he wasn't losing his mind. He waited for it to continue, or for that other voice to return, but when neither happened he peered up, having to wipe his eyes several times before he could see clearly through the tears. A girl. He didn't recognize her so if the next stage of his apparent insanity was hallucinations, this wasn't a very good one.
"I - " his breath hitched on a sob and it took him several tries to get enough air to try answering again. "I know. I'm fine." It was a blatant and obvious lie, considering he was inches away from hyperventilating because of voices in his fucking head, but he just...didn't feel like answering any questions right now, or dealing with people, or doing anything but hiding in his bed for the next several days. He doubted that would be enough to get her to leave, but he could hope.
