Felix loved his sister and niece more than he could actually put into words, but there were some nights where he simply couldn’t sit around at home with them and New Year’s Eve was one of those nights. New Year’s Eve was one of the nights that he had to go out and party and just be completely irresponsible. Normally he would have suggested Sarah find a babysitter and come out with him, but tonight he’d invited Josh out and considering they were still getting to know one another, he didn’t think having his sister around was the best idea.
After texting back and forth with the other man just before New Year’s Eve, they decided which club they were going to meet at then Felix went to work deciding exactly what he was going to wear. It was still cold out and there was still snow on the ground, so Felix had opted for leather pants, embellished along the sides with studs, a thin, black sweater, which he’d definitely gotten in the women's section and was normally meant to be worn with something underneath it, but considering Felix didn’t have the same parts as a women, he wore nothing underneath, but did put a jacket over it, which was bound to get left in his car. He’d put some glitter in his style, black hair and finished it all off with eyeliner and lip gloss. After checking the mirror a few times, he finally decided he was ready and headed out to the first club that he and Josh were meeting at.
Josh spends much less time preparing himself. Like, maybe a quarter of the amount. Well okay a little extra time jumping around to get into the skinny jeans that make his ass look fantastic, and a few more minutes making sure his hair was properly gelled into place (but not too gelled that you can’t touch it without hurting yourself, he hates that).
Black t-shirt that fit him just a bit too snugly, his favourite Converse, and a leather jacket and he’s totally ready to go. He brushed his teeth and everything.
He hits the first club and decides to check outside first, make sure Felix hadn’t headed in already. It’s not exactly a date, but it’s definitely going out and Felix is definitely hot, so Josh is pretty pumped for the whole thing.
Felix had decided to wait outside for Josh, figuring it’d be easier for them to find each other if he was outside as opposed to inside where he was bound to get lost within the crowd inside. He was just about to text the other man when he spotted him just past a smaller group of guys nearby. Smiling, he began walking towards him, his boots hitting the pavement as he went, “Hey there, looking to have a good time?” He said as he pushed past the group and came to stand a foot or so in front of Josh, looking him up and down as he did so. Damn, he looked good.
Shit, Felix is so fucking pretty. Josh gives him a long look and a low whistle, flashing him a thumbs up. “You look bangin’, let me just say that right off. And yes, I am so ready for a good time.”
Thank god his fake ID is top quality, because he’s definitely doing some shots tonight. He grabs a hold of Felix’s hand so they don’t get separated in line. “Got any resolutions?” he asks, bumping his shoulder against Felix’s lightly.
Felix grinned at the compliment, the lights shining off his glossed lips, “You don’t look too bad yourself.” Josh definitely knew how to dress his figure and Felix appreciated it greatly. As Josh took his hand, Felix turned them away from the line and towards the door instead. He’d planned a few parties for various celebrity clients at this particular club and had become friendly with the owner so Felix’s name was permanently on the VIP list whenever he wanted it. “Does anyone ever actually stick to those?” He asked as they reached the bouncer who recognized Felix and waved them inside, “Having celebrity clients has its perks.” He explained in case Josh was wondering how Felix had been able to bypass the line and ID check. They wouldn’t be quite so lucky at other clubs they went to throughout the night, but Felix had wanted to attempt to impress Josh just a little bit at the beginning of the night.
Maybe if Josh namedropped more, he’d be able to do cool stuff like that. But he tries to keep a low profile so he and his sisters can stay out of Hollywood rags as much as possible. He doesn’t want to be that actress’s kid to does dumb stuff and gets caught out for it all the time.
“Well aren’t you a badass,” he grins, and kisses his cheek. “I’ll have to keep you around. What are we drinking first? Because definitely drinks and then I guess I’ll let you drag me to the dance floor.” As if it’s such a hardship.
“I try,” Felix laughed and led Josh towards the bar, “You’ll let me drag you out onto the dance floor? How nice of you.” He squeezed Josh’s hand and ordered two drinks, for Josh the same one he’d gotten at the bar the night they had met. It might have been a few weeks earlier, but Felix had a pretty good memory especially when it came to people and things that he liked.
“You have an eye for detail,” Josh muses when his drink is delivered. “Though you would, with your career I guess, right?”
He raises his glass in a toast, “To a new year, full of sin and debauchery. At least that’s my resolution.”
“It does help.” Felix held up his own glass and touched it to Josh’s, “There’s nothing I enjoy more than sin and debauchery.” Felix took a sip of his drink, watching Josh over the rim of the glass as he did so. He was very interested in Josh and finding out more about him and it seemed he was finding out things without even needing to ask.
“Hey I officially turn twenty-one this year, so I can make some more mischief.” Josh does his best to keep his parties low-key and invite only, so embarrassing pictures don’t get leaked, but sometimes you just have to let go of everything and go a little wild. Maybe he does that more than he should, but whatever. Life is too fucking short.
“How old are you anyway? I don’t think I’ve asked yet. I want to make sure I’m not a gold digger or something.”
Twenty-one. Felix had had a feeling that Josh was a bit younger than him. Had had a feeling that his ID wasn’t exactly legit and honestly he had no problem with it, because he wouldn’t be the first guy he’d gone out with or hooked up with who was younger than him, but sometimes hearing it made him feel old. “I’m thirty. And don’t worry, you’re hardly a gold digger. I think I’d have to make a little more money in order for you to be a gold digger.” Felix took a sip of his drink as he watched Josh to see what his reaction would be.
“Holy fuck me, you look amazing?” Which Felix honestly, really does. Nothing like thirty. Josh had assumed someone closer to his age, which made having his own business super impressive. Not that having your own business still isn’t impressive, cuz it is. As is Felix’s apparent ability to not age.
“Teach me your magic, bro.”
Felix laughed and took a large sip of his drink and placed the now empty glass on the bar top, “I try not to let too many things stress me out and have fun.” Felix had never looked a gift horse in the mouth when it came to his looks, because he knew plenty of people who at his age looked ten years older, so Felix did his best to keep his looks as they were which included moisturizing daily. “Speaking of fun, can I drag you out on the dance floor now?” He reached out to grab the front of Josh’s shirt and tugged lightly.
“Fuck yes.” Josh grins and knocks back the rest of his drink as well, taking Felix’s hand and twining their fingers together. “I keep thinking about your hips, I want to see them work.”
Felix leaned in close to Josh, lips inches from his ear, “Play your cards right and you will.” Grinning, Felix pulled away and turned towards the dance floor, which he began to lead Josh out onto. It had been awhile since Felix had been out with a hot guy like this and they had the whole night ahead of them, but Felix was fairly certain it was going to be a good one. What a way to start off the new year.
