When the snow had cancelled Damian’s original plans of going out to visit Dick in New York for Christmas, he and Celaena had made plans to spend Christmas Eve together. Her parents were away so her place had become the setting. Part of Damian would have liked to have spent it at his place cause he didn’t have a butler lurking around or anything like that, but he didn’t exactly have a Christmas tree and despite Celaena’s parents being away, the place had been decked out, so Celaena’s house it was.
When he reached the house, he parked and headed up to the front door. He had been about to ring the bell when he spotted a note that said the door was unlocked. This caused him to frown slightly cause it meant that the butler must have had the night off, but also that his girlfriend couldn't answer the door for one reason or another.
Shrugging, he pushed the door open and went inside, locking it behind him. It wasn’t until he’d secured the door that he noticed the ribbon on the floor in the foyer, which led up the stairs. This was certainly not what Damian had expected, but he decided to go with it. So gift in hand, he headed up the stairs, following the ribbon as it led him down the hall.
“Celaena?” He called as he reached where the ribbon ended, which was at a door that he knew to be Celaena’s room. He didn’t know what awaited him on the other side of this door, but he had an idea of what it could possibly be, so taking a deep breath, he pushed the door open.
Celaena hadn’t been waiting too long for Damian to arrive. Izzy had only left a few minutes ago after wrapping her up and leaving the trail to the front door for him to follow. Now, as she lay on her bed facing the door, a giant red ribbon wrapped around her chest in a big bow and a red thong (both helpfully sourced by Izzy), she heard Damian’s voice and couldn’t help the nerves that suddenly made her mouth dry.
“Come in,” she called out gently, nervously. Sure she and Damian had fooled around a bit before, but they’ed never really seen each other in such a state of undress as Celaena currently was. She hoped he liked it. Liked her.
The scene that greeted him as he opened Celaena’s bedroom door certainly wasn’t what he’d been expecting and Damian’s blue eyes widened as he took in Celaena’s state of undress. “Uh….wow….” It took him a moment, but he finally stepped fully into the room and closed the door behind him, realizing now that they must have been the only ones in the house. “You look...wow…” Damian hadn’t been in a situation like this before, not even when he’d been with Alyssa. His ex had never really done anything to surprise him like this and even if she had, he probably would have wondered, somewhere in the back of his mind, if she’d hoped he was Logan instead. With Celaena things were so much less complicated.
“How….you haven’t been waiting long, have you?” Damian hadn’t seen anyone leaving when he’d pulled up, which meant he’d just missed Isabelle so as far as he knew Celaena could have been sitting up in her room like this for an hour or a few minutes.
Celaena grinned a little at his response. Speechless was good, she thought to herself. Shifting slightly on the bed, she bit her lip. “Long enough,” she told him. “Happy Christmas, Damian,” smiled, using her right arm to present herself to him in all her glory. “Would you like to unwrap your present?” she asked quietly, a flicker of doubt in her mind that he wouldn’t want her but she quickly pushed it away.
Taking off his jacket, Damian draped it over a chair in Celaena’s room before moving towards the bed. He hadn’t been in this sort of situation in awhile and he hadn’t thought he’d be this nervous when he was again, but everything with Celaena was new, so it wasn’t really a surprise that he was nervous. “Well, it’d be rude if I didn’t right?” Reaching the bed, he glanced over her body and reached out for an end of the ribbon, “Do I just pull it?”
Celaena huffed a little in amusement and rolled her eyes. “Such a romantic,” she laughed. “You could, but I'd rather you kiss me first,” she grinned, biting her bottom lip as her eyes flickered down to his lips as they drew ever closer to her.
“Oh, right. Sorry.” Damian’s cheeks flushed a little as he moved to sit on the bed so that he was closer to Celaena, “I guess my brain’s still a little in shock.” He smirked and lifted a hand to run his fingers through her blond hair before cupping her cheek and leaned in to kiss her.
Celaena grinned and leaned up to receive his kiss. Seeing his reaction, she only grew more certain that this was right. “I’m guessing it’s a good shock, not a bad shock,” she teased, lips moving against his as she spoke. She reached up and fisted her fingers in his shirt and lay back, drawing him down to lean over her.
“Oh yeah. Definitely a good shock,” Damian smirked against her lips as he kissed her again, moving with her and placing his free hand on the mattress so that he wouldn’t be laying right on top of her just yet. He didn’t want to crush her bow after all.
Something loosened in Celaena at his admission and she kissed him all the more fiercely. Threading her fingers through his hair, she kissed him deeply, running her hands up and down his arms to encourage him to touch her. She wanted his hands on her, affirmation that he wanted her.
As he continued to kiss her, Damian’s hand moved to Celaena’s side, her skin warm under against his. He’d thought about this moment more than once and now that it was here, he didn’t want it to end too quickly despite the fact that he really wanted to remove the bow tied around her.
Celaena lay back fully and ran her hands down his chest over his shirt as they kissed deeply. Reaching the hem, she inched her fingers underneath, stroking his hot skin playfully before running them back up his body under the material. The shirt bunched around her wrists as she slowly moved up his back and clutched at his shoulders.
Damian groaned as he felt Celaena’s hands on his skin and after a moment or two, broke the kiss in order to sit up enough to pull his shirt off and toss it onto the floor. As he sat up, he got another look at his girlfriend beneath him, “Oops. I think I crushed your bow a little bit.” He couldn’t help but smirk down at her.
Celaena looked down at the bow, fingering the tail of it with one hand. “Well, I'm pretty sure there’s something you can do about that,” she replied coyly, ending with biting her lip and looking up at him from beneath her lashes. She teasingly pulled on the end of the ribbon and the bow loosened slightly. Holding the end out to him, she waited for him to take it, nervous excitement thrumming through her as she did.
Damian wasn’t as nervous now as he had been when he’d first come into the room so when offered to him, he took the end of the ribbon and tugged a little more until it came undone and fell to the bed beneath Celaena. He’d seen his girlfriend in her bathing suit and in her bra before, but it was entirely different seeing her completely topless and was better than he could have imagined, “Wow.”
Celaena couldn't help the little giggle that erupted at his reaction. She wasn't overly endowed in the breast department but she had no complaints over her C cups, especially when Damian was looking down at her like that. Her skin flushed red and she used her hands on his back to encourage him to lie on the bed with her. She trailed her fingertips over his skin and round to his chest, watching them as she moved to smooth them over the planes of his chest. Biting her lip, she couldn't help but admire his physique. “Wow,” she responded in kind, feeling the strong muscles beneath her hands.
Not too long ago Damian would have been self conscience about being shirtless like this because of the various scars he’d received from the dreams. Having dreamt of being stabbed in the back and in an explosion, Damian had a number of scars, but he had come to terms with them and didn’t feel self conscience of them any longer. All of his scars meant that he had survived something.
Laying down beside Celaena, he turned towards her and wrapped his arm around her waist to pull her closer, “I’ve got to say, this is probably the best Christmas present I’ve ever gotten.”
Celaena loved Damian’s scars. They were a reminder of how brave and strong he was. She gently ran her fingertips over the ridge of a scar on his back as he settled on the bed next to her. She had Dreamed of her own scars, ones earned in Endovier before and she counted the days until she received them here, like so many others. She hoped they wouldn’t come, but with all her experience reading things on the ValarNet and meeting people she knew better than to assume it wouldn’t ever happen.
Reaching up with her other hand, she carded her fingers through his hair, dragging him down to kiss her. Thinking of that dreadful place just made her need him closer. She just wanted him to touch her. Reassure her that she wasn’t that, had never been there and would never go there.
One of the things that made Damian and Celaena so compatable was the fact that their dreams were similar. Damian had been raised to be an assassin and Celaena had been one. They were both exceptional when it came to fighting and using weapons and cunning as well. They worked so well that Damian kept waiting for something bad to happen, but it hadn’t yet and he was keeping his fingers crossed that nothing did happen.
As he kissed her back, his hand rested on Celaena’s waist then slid up to cup her breast. Her skin was so soft and she smelled so good that it was a little intoxicating.
Celaena pressed herself into his hand, back bowing off the bed as she gasped against his mouth. She clenched her fingers against his back and brought her left leg up to wrap around his, pressing closer to him. She moaned into his mouth and ran the hand in his hair down his throat and chest, trailing her fingernails lightly over his hot skin until she reached his belt.
Pulling back from his lips, she gazed up at him breathlessly as she ever so slowly hooked a finger in behind his trousers. She rocked her hips against him gently, her breathing ragged. If he rejected her now, she didn’t know how she’d get over it.
Damian had absolutely no intentions of rejecting Celaena. Doing that was the farthest thing on his mind at the moment especially as her hips pressed up against his and his rolled down against hers in response. Groaning, Damian’s fingers squeezed her breast lightly as he kissed from her mouth to her jawline to her neck where he nipped lightly at the sensitive skin there and moved up to her ear, “I love you…” He breathed against her ear.
Celaena let out a little strangled cry of surprise as she heard him speak, eyes flying open as she flipped them over so she was on top. Laying flat to his chest as she straddled his hips, she braced her elbows on either side of his head and gazed down at him, eyes slightly glassy and heat thrumming through her at his confession. “God...do you mean it?” she asked breathlessly, unable to resist stroking his hair as it brushed against her fingertips.
Damian hadn’t been expecting her to flip them, but he didn’t fight it nor was it the first time she’d pinned him either. Looking up into her eyes, he brought a hand up to cup her cheek then slid it back into her hair to hold it out of the way so he could see her face amidst the curtain of blond hair, “I do. I love you, Celaena.”
Celaena ran her eyes over his face, drinking in the moment. She loved the feeling of his hand in her hair, his lips on hers and his skin pressed against hers. “I love you too,” she murmured, a little smile tweaking her lips. Brushing her lips against his briefly, she started kissing him. Moving slightly over him reminded he'd of what they were doing a minute ago and she smiled against his mouth as she ground her hips into his. “Show me,” she muttered against his lips.
Damian groaned as she ground her hips down against his and he bucked his as he brought his arms around to encircle her body before flipping them so he was looking down at her, her blond hair fanned out over the bed, “Gladly.” Sometimes Damian couldn’t believe how lucky he’d gotten in finding Celaena, but he was glad that he had.
