It was a beautiful day outside, made even more beautiful by the fact that she was going to be spending, at least part of it, with her wonderful Damian. Looking in the mirror in her front hall, she checked her make-up was immaculate and her hair was still perfect for the last time while she waited for him to pick her up. They’d been together awhile now and, after several discussions with her best friend Izzy, she had decided to try being a bit more…forward with him. She’d missed him greatly while she’d been away and she hadn’t been kidding when she said she’d follow him when he went away with his brother, she had ways and means after all.
Damian had missed Celaena while she had been away so he was glad that she was back from her trip. So he wasn’t going to say no to seeing her right away. He still wasn’t really good with the whole dating thing, considering him and Alyssa didn’t really go on actual dates a lot, so dinner at a diner was the best he could come up with at the moment.
Reaching Celaena’s house, he headed up to the door and rang the bell then waited for her to answer.
All but bouncing to answer the front, she was beaming when she saw him on the other side. “Hey!” she grinned, reaching up to wrap a hand behind his neck and pull him in for a kiss. She took her time, intent on showing him how much she missed him. She caught his bottom lip between hers and flicked the tip of her tongue against it, stroking the underside of his jaw with her thumb as she did. Her free hand reached up and caught in his jacket, gently pulling him closer.
Damian didn’t have time to speak before he was being kissed. It took him a moment before he was kissing her back, his hands sliding around Celaena’s waist, one hand moving up her back to tangle in her blond hair. He’d missed her more than he’d thought and now that she was back, he didn’t want to let her out of his sight for awhile.
Celaena smiled against his lips as she felt his arms wrapping around her. They’d not gone too far with intimacy in their relationship, but after a couple of chats with her best friend Izzy, she thought she’d like to explore things more. Damian was a good man and she wanted him to know how much she cared for him. After all, she wasn’t completely selfish. Sliding both her hands up to his neck and into his hair demonstrated how she felt pretty well she thought.
As Celaena’s hands slid up his neck and into his hair, Damian couldn’t help it but move closer to her, pressing his hips against his girlfriend’s, which caused his eyes to snap open. He hadn’t realized the effect that the kiss was having on his body until then and he pulled away, cheeks flushed, “Sorry….I didn’t mean for that…..” They were taking things slow, so he didn’t know what sort of reaction Celaena would have to him getting aroused.
Pulling away slightly, Celaena arched an eyebrow at him. “Well, I kinda hope you did mean it, otherwise we need to re-think this entire relationship,” she teased, eyes flicking down to his lips. Catching her bottom lip between her teeth, she tilted her head as a teasing smile spread across her face. “Are you sure you still want to go out?” she asked coyly in a low voice, her nails running through his hair and against his scalp.
“Well, you know what I mean,” Damian’s brows rose slightly at her question and a shiver ran down his spine as her nails scraped against his scalp. He wasn’t entirely sure what she was suggesting and he didn’t want her to do anything she wasn’t ready for. “And what would we do if we didn’t go out?” He wanted to make sure that they were both on the same page and that he wasn’t assuming anything.
“Well…” Celaena started slowly moving backwards with him as she pretended to think. The door shut behind him as they moved down the tall, wide corridor together. “Let’s see, we could learn how to knit...or we could read a book...or maybe something...else?” she teased him a bit more. She wasn’t entirely sure how far she was ready to go yet, but she trusted Damian to stop if she asked him to.
“Knit, huh? Never done that before.” Damian said as Celaena led him down the corridor. He had a pretty good idea of what something else was and while he wanted to make sure they were both on the same page, he wouldn’t say no if she wanted to do what he thought she did. Then again, it had been awhile and he was also worried that if they had sex, he wouldn’t be good.
Celaena grinned as she backed up against the doorframe to the open living room. She pulled him against her and tilted her head coyly. “My parents are out if you’d like to...play?” she invited quietly, the smile still on her face as she played with the collar of his shirt.
Mention of her parents reminded Damian that this was a completely different situation than when he was with Alyssa, “And you’re sure they won’t be home?” Her parents walking in on them probably wouldn’t be a good thing and Damian didn’t want to have the, hating him before he’d properly met them. It was then that another thought crossed his mind now that he was a little more clear headed, “Ah...also, I don’t really have any….thing with me.” It had been over a year since Damian had had sex so condoms weren’t a thing he’d needed to buy and since he and Alyssa had lived together, he’d never really needed to carry one with him.
“Hey, easy there tiger,” Celaena chuckled, putting her hands on his chest and looking up at him with raised eyebrows. “I said play, that doesn’t necessarily mean the whole nine yards,” she told him straight. “But full marks for trying,” she winked at him before wrapping her fingers in the front of his shirt and pulling him in for a long, slow kiss that made her toes curl. After a minute, she pulled back, breathless and wanting more. “My parents will be gone for an hour or two, some work lunch thing and Mr Thomas is driving them so...do you wanna fool around a bit?” she asked, biting her lip as she looked up at him innocently.
Damian’s cheeks flushed at her response and he couldn’t help but feel a little embarrassed, “I was just letting you know.” He had no way of knowing exactly how far Celaena had been thinking of going until he’d said it and now he knew, so he was a little less nervous. When she kissed him, he groaned low in his throat, breathless when she pulled away, “Ah...yeah. Yeah...I think that’d be good.” The one thing that helped with his whole relationship with Celaena was that he didn’t have Logan or anyone else for her to compare him to so he didn’t have to worry about her thinking someone else did something better than him.
“Aww, you’re so cute when you’re flustered,” Celaena teased with a grin, reaching up to cup his cheek. Giggling, she grabbed his hand and pulled him into the front room and over to the couch. Turning round, she pushed his shoulders to make him sit back on the couch, standing proudly above him.
“You’re just trying to make me even more flustered on purpose.” Damian smirked up at Celaena after she pushed him down onto the couch. “You’re beautiful, you know that?” If Damian were honest, she looked like a model and he couldn’t believe he’d gotten so lucky to find a girl like her.
Celaena knew she was pretty good looking, she worked hard to keep in tip top shape after all, but hearing her boyfriend say it about her was something else and she could feel her cheeks start to heat at the compliment. Never one to be out done, she slowly leaned forward and rested her hands either side of his head on the back of the couch. She leaned down so that she could brush his nose gently with her own and she spoke as quietly and enticingly as she could. “Well, you’re not so bad yourself,” she teased, brushing her lips ever so slightly against his.
Damian reached out and placed his hands on Celaena’s hips as she leaned in and he smirked, “Thanks. I like to think that we make a pretty good looking couple.” As her lips brushed against his, he leaned forward to meet them and nip lightly at her bottom lip. Regardless of any fears he might have had about anything, including the future of their relationship, Damian really was extremely grateful that he had met Celaena and that they were where they were now.
“We do,” Celaena agreed as she leaned in to kiss him properly. As she deepened their kiss, she moved closer and straddled him. She took her time and moved slowly, making sure he felt her settling against him. As she got comfortable on his lap, she ran her fingers through his hair and wrapped her other arm around his shoulders. As they continued to kiss, she found herself moving against him, grinding her body against his solid one without realising it. She broke the kiss with a gasp, resting their foreheads together while she caught her breath. “Wow,” she let out a breathy laugh.
As Celaena began grinding her body against his Damian groaned low in his throat, his fingers curling in Celaena’s shirt and hair where his hands were. When she pulled back and placed her forehead against his, he smiled breathlessly, “W...wow about covers it.” His fingers in her hair loosened and he began stroking the blond locks gently. “You okay?”
“Oh sweetie, I'm so much more than okay!” Celaena grinned before cupping his face and taking possession of his lips with her own. He was all hers for now and soon she’d be all his.
