Doreen had dressed for the occasion in a cute Han Solo dress that she'd cut a hole out of to let her tail peep through. (Sometimes her tail grew sore from tucking it into jeans so much.) She didn't know if this was a date, or would be considered fancy, but she liked Peter and he liked her. She was pretty sure they were flirting in her not-so-subtle way, but didn't know if the lack of subtlety meant that he wasn't taking it seriously. Whatever: she'd worry about it if it became something to worry about. For now they were just friends who were going to sit and eat nuts and play video games.
When she heard the knock on the door, Doreen went to answer. Tippy-Toe's curiosity was piqued, and as the door opened the squirrel moved to sit on Doreen's shoulder.
"He's cute!" Tippy-Toe was never shy when it came to offering opinions to Doreen. "You know, for a human."
"Tippy, shh! Um, hi." She blushed a little when she saw Peter who looked super cute. "I like your shirt." God, she hoped he suddenly didn't have squirrel powers along with the whole spider senses thing. Did he have his Spidey sense yet? Oh crap what if he could tell she was blushing beyond just seeing it?
