Link's head was killing him. It was pounding, non-stop, and no matter how many painkillers he took it didn't seem to ever go away completely. At the moment, it was subsiding a bit, which was good because he wasn't able to distract himself with cooking; instead, the night had grown boring, dull, and full of a whole lotta nothing. It happened on Sunday nights a lot, so he wasn't all that surprised; yet, when you were at a 24/7 diner, you did that. The only current customer was a 50-something man, probably drunk, passed out in the corner with a half-eaten meal and coffee.

Link didn't really care though, and had sent the Waitress to go ahead and go to her break while he bounced his ball up towards the wall. He was currently seated in a chair behind the counter, throwing it up and catching it as it bounced back, his vision growing blurry but then clearing up a moment. Something was wrong, he knew it, but he didn't really want to bother going to a doctor for a headache that persisted. It probably meant he just needed more sleep, which is something he just had no chance to get with the dreams fighting him the way they always did.

Dressed in a green t-shirt, blue jeans, and a white apron that was worn over all of it, he had feet kicked up on some milk crates as he leaned back playing his little game, waiting for someone to come in and order something to cure their eventual drunkenness.
