Pepper raised her eyebrows at Tony. Why was she always doing that? She shouldn't be so surprised by everything he did. This was Tony Stark we're talking about here. "You didn't.. of course you didn't," she said to herself more than to Tony. "I had one of our PR people write up a couple just in case. You can pick your favorite. I'll go find him. Wait here just a minute?" she raised a finger to indicate she'd be right back.
She was back within minutes and looking super stressed out. She'd obviously been running her fingers through her hair because it actually looked a little messed up. "He's fired," she said, again more to herself than to Tony. "He didn't write them. He didn't think you were going to show. There's no speech," her eyes were wide. What a colossal fail.
