Peter had decided to stay a bit late that night; it's not like he had much of a life outside of work anyway. While most of the rest of the lab was dark, there were a few left with lights on; it wasn't like Peter was the only one without a life, they were all engineers and nerds here after all. And not all of them were rich billionaires like their boss, that meant not always a life to be had outside of the laboratories.
Peter, himself, had made this something of a habit in the recent weeks. It kept him distracted from home life, and the dreams he didn't really want to deal with, and allowed him to get more work done. He created a thing here or there, or helped with a component here or there as well, but his real baby, the real project that got him hired by Tony in the first place, that project was something he liked to work on in his spare time when he had ample amount of time to concentrate on it. There was something there in his thought, after all he'd been the one to create the foundation for it, but now he was incredibly stuck on the process of getting it small enough to fit, and to get it to work in a functional, efficient way.
Currently, Peter was stuck at his computer, staring directly into the screen rather fervently as he added code, looking to the left one moment to look at his lab table to get an idea of the parameters for the experiment, then back towards the screen. He hit a few keystrokes, then sighed when the data didn't move, and seemed to just vanish into, somewhere. Lost in time and space in some fashion.
Slamming his hand on the table, he let out a shout and growl, "GOD DAMN IT!"
Rubbing at his temples, he shook his head with a sigh and pushed his glasses up more. He took a drink from his energy drink and a bite from his now warm tuna sandwich. Frowning, he tossed it into the trash and just looked back at the screen ignoring his growling stomach. Another common practice for him, which was kind of the case all of his life though. Science and work to forego food.
Peter moved to his little device he was creating on the table, and adjusted something microscopic on it, sighing a bit as he went about it. He looked into the microscope, using whisps of tiny sonic vibrations to move the thing mere nanometers.
