Who: Celaena Sardothien and Damian Wayne
What: House-sitting
Where: Celaena’s friend’s house
When: After this; Tuesday, August 4th. Afternoon
Rating: Family Friendly
Status: Complete

Celaena opened the door to greet Damian. She tucked her hair behind her ear and kissed him as he stepped inside and she reached out her hand to link their fingers together. She cast him a shy smile and closed the door behind him. “Hi, I missed you,” she admitted, feeling her cheeks flush red.

Damian had been teasing Celaena when he’d told her that she’d probably destroyed the garden of the people she was house sitting for and he was glad that she’d then told him to come by. He might not have had any skills in gardening, but he had watched Alyssa in her own garden enough that he could probably tell if she had done anything wrong, but he doubted that she had and he was just happy to get to see her.

Reaching the house, he rang the bell, but didn’t have to wait long before the door was pulled open and Celaena was kissing him. “Hey. Missed you too.” It was still weird to not be living with his girlfriend, but in a way he liked this better. “So, how much damage did you do to the garden?”

Celaena gasped at his tease and smacked him on the shoulder. "I have not damaged the garden! It's looking perfectly...green and flowery," she told him with a grin, leading him through the house to the conservatory which overlooked the large garden. It was a beautiful sunny day wild only a mild breeze, perfect weather for gardening. "So, what do you say now, Mr Tease?" She asked him with a proud smile, turning to wrap her arms around his neck.

Damian followed Celaena out into the garden, “Well, that leaf over there is kind of brown.” He smirked and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer, “I’m kidding. The garden looks fine. At the moment anyway.” He teased, giving her a quick kiss on the lips before pulling back to take a look around, “So why are you house sitting?”

Celaena giggled, her head thrown back as he pulled her closer before accepting his kiss. “Well if a brown leaf is the worst you can find, then I will continue to believe that I am doing a good job,” she grinned proudly and kissed him again, carding her fingers through his hair. Pulling back, she led him to the pool’s edge and slipped out of her flip flops, sitting herself down on the pool’s edge with her feet dangling in the pool. “It’s a friend of my dad’s. He and his family are away for two weeks on holiday and they wanted someone to house-sit,” she shrugged. “We were at a gala a few weeks ago when he asked and I thought it sounded like a great idea,” she smiled up at him. “Did you remember to bring your swimming trunks with you?” she asked, a flirty look on her face.

Damian slipped off his own sandals and sat down beside her at the edge of the pool, “I did. I left them and my towel in the car for now.” He glanced over at Celaena, watching the way the sun caught her blond hair. In some ways she reminded with of Stephanie from his dreams and he sometimes found himself wondering if that was why he was attracted to her, because it was obvious to anyone with eyes that he was a little shit to Stephanie, in the dreams, because he had a crush on her. Not that anything could happen in the dreams since he was ten and she was eighteen, but there were quite a few similarities between Celaena and Stephanie aside from their shared hair color and one of those things was that they were both pretty badass.

Celaena caught him watching her and turned to look at him. “What? What are you looking at?” she spoke quietly, returning his gaze with a gentle expression. She sat with her feet in the water, hands braced on the pool edge and blonde hair cascading down over her shoulders.

“You.” Damian smiled and leaned over to press a kiss to Celaena’s cheek. “And just thinking about how in some ways you remind me of a girl in my dreams. She was also part of the Bat Family. So she could kick butt too.” He left out the crush part.

Celaena grinned at him as he pulled back from kissing her on the cheek. She liked it when he kissed her, wanted him to do it more, but she was anxious about going further. She didn’t want to get him all...excited and then disappoint him because she wasn’t ready. “You mean she’s stunningly attractive and wickedly talented,” she grinned and ran her hand through her hair as she proudly preened in front of him. “Part of the Bat Family,” Celaena repeated. “So does that mean you were family by blood or by chance?” she asked, idly wondering if she needed to be jealous of this other girl from his Dreams and whether she could tease him over it.

Damian considered that for a moment before nodding, “Yeah, pretty much. She can kick ass better than any other girl I knew in the dreams.” Not that dream Damian would ever admit that to Stephanie or anyone else for that matter since he always gave her a hard time to cover up his crush, “And it’s all mostly by chance. I mean, in my case it’s by blood since Batman is my father and all, but everyone else was by chance.”

“Ooo, look at you, all special and related to Batman,” Celaena teased with a big grin. She reached up and ran her fingers through his hair, dragging her nails across his scalp. “You’re so handsome, have I ever told you that?” she asked, running her gaze over his face. “Did uh...did any of the girls in your Dreams have the same honour as I have?” she asked, stroking her fingers through his hair.

Damian's blue eyes closed briefly as she ran her fingers through his hair, a small smile upon his lips, "I think you've told me that a few times." In response to her question, he shook his head, "In my dreams I'm only ten, remember."

Celaena hummed in response. “I forget that. I mean, look at you,” she ran her gaze down his body. “You’re so…not a ten year old,” she teased. “What was the last thing you Dreamt about then?” she asked, the hand in his hair dropping slightly to play with the hairs at the nape of his neck then stroking the soft skin under his collar.

Damian laughed, “No, I’m definitely not ten years old now.” It was a little weird to dream of himself at ten, but in a way he seemed so much older as a result of how he was raised that it wasn’t that weird. “Um, the last thing was still when I accidently killed Dick.” He still hated thinking about that and he couldn’t recall if he’d ever told Celaena about it. He’d talked to Raven, because she’d been able to sense that something was bothering him.

Celaena smiled sympathetically at him. She didn’t speak much about her own Dreams...nightmares more like it. She had lost count of the amount of times she had woken up in a cold sweat from awful visions. Dreaming about killing your brother must be so difficult. “Poor baby,” she murmured, before pulling him towards her and kissing him, a long press of lips against lips.

Damian smiled against her lips and pulled back after a moment or two, “Thanks. I’m okay though. I mean, I know it’s just dreams. I was freaked out at first, but Dick is here and alive, so I’m okay.” He appreciated her concern, but was trying to think on the bright side. “So, should I go get my suit so we can go swimming?”

“They’re still not easy to live through,” Celaena stroked a hand across his cheek as she spoke somewhat solemnly. Unlike Damian, she didn’t have anyone from her Dreams to share them with. She wasn’t sure if that was a blessing or a curse. “You know I’m here for you though, right? That you can talk to me about them? If you want that is,” she told him seriously.

“I know. Thank you.” Damian smiled and leaned forward to press a kiss to her lips then got to his feet and reached out a hand for her, “Now come on, I wanna swim.” He was grateful that Celaena was there for him, but he had come over to spend time with her and not talk about the dreams and he’d admit, he was looking forward to seeing her in a bathing suit.
