Alyssa had managed to put a lot of thoughts in Logan’s head, though most of them he would have considered to begin with. He didn’t particularly want to hurt River, but he figured this could be mostly harmless, as long as he handled it carefully. He didn’t want to break someone’s heart again - things were still kind of awkward at times with Alyssa as it was.
So he drove up on his motorcycle, and put out his cigar.
Despite Alyssa’s reservations about the date, River is thrilled. Logan makes her feel safe. He understands, which her brother doesn’t and River desperately needs someone in her life that understands. Natasha is wonderful as well, but Logan reminds her a little of Jayne, making her nostalgic for the places she’s only dreamed of. It makes her want to bury her face against his chest and stay there for a while.
Though when he pulls up on his bike, she has to roll her eyes a little as she goes outside to meet him.
“I think you haven’t been on many dates,” she says, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow. She’s wearing a sundress, her hair long and loose as always. Not appropriate motorcycle clothing.
