Bernie had enjoyed the tour. Barbara had good taste, and he appreciated that. He hadn't been caught speechless the way he had in the library--It wasn't easy to make Bernie speechless, as Artie would have pointed out--but he had commented on her good taste.
"Certainly," he said, taking the corkscrew and bottle. He went about opening the bottle, leaning against the counter and watching Barbara as she went about her preparations.
He poured two glasses and brought them to the table.
