For Zatanna, it felt like she'd been practicing forever - her magic was old, ancient power, that settled in and warmed the blood. It endured, for generations. But here? "Since around January or so," she noted thoughtfully. "I started the Guild back in March. Gathered all the magic users, and let them sort themselves - " Her grin was somewhat coy, because she was aware it sounded very Harry Potter-esque, "...and then Lina used one her spells to create the tunnels this place makes up, in the abandoned wine cellar. And we furnished it from there. One of the other warlocks, he has a skill for...decorating." Yes, it was one of Magnus's more intriguing abilities - and Zee was glad for it, it made furnishing the place a lot easier. Really, it had been a lot of collaborative effort and it paid off in the end. The result was a space just for them, a space to feel safe and develop those dream-earned skills.
"I do think you have to find your connection to magic though," she added. "Every practitioner does. I am working on it with a couple dreamers now as well - they are in the same situation. In their dreams, they weren't really encouraged to develop those abilities. But once you search deep within and find that glow, that spark of magic, you can call upon it when you need to."
Her hand gestured around them, a show-woman at her core. "And come here to practice too, of course. It's quiet, well-fortified, and people will stay out of your way." A spoken word of pots ceased the flow of water she'd started, right as the light bulbs illuminated - seemed that she'd powered them sufficiently - and she encouraged, "I will show you the next room, mainly for practicing spells and conjuration."
